the view was really nice and able to see the Mekong River from the room balcony. We had free upgrade to the suite and able to see the Mekong River from the balcony. since it is a suite, the room is really big as well as the bathroom. Good breakfast and really relaxing to enjoy the view during breakfast. Nice pool and gym, well design room and very helpful staffs. Really value for money for our stay.

Take note that this hotel is a bit far from the town center (5- 6 KM) since there is a free shuttle service provided and it shouldn't be a big issue. You just need to plan your time carefully or you can choose to take the Tuk Tuk from the town which cost around USD4 to 5 per trip. in general, the road condition in Luang Prabang is not so good and hence suggest taking the shuttle service. first service to town is 845am and last one return from the town is 10pm. they have 5-6 rounds in a day.

It's more of a beautifully located and magnificently landscaped garden rather than a hotel. I think it's worth to stay outside the center to have this Mekong view at the breakfast or from the bar. And there is a shuttle bus. The breakfast is great with Asian and continental options, so you will not get bored easily. As compared with other hotel gyms, this one is pretty well-equipped and large!

The pool is a bit isolated and does not have a great view (as opposed to the rest of the hotel terrain). The rooms (AC/ bathrooms) need some upgrade but still are very stylish with beautiful teak floors and furniture.

The property is situated right on the Mekong river with a beautiful view. It's a very peaceful atmosphere. Sitting outside for breakfast and afternoon for "Happy Hour" is just so relaxing. The buffalos grazing nearby is the best. The staff is very friendly and helpful. As the property is situated outside the city they provide a shuttle bus to take you down town. Free of charge. The rooms are spacious and lovely decorated. The food is good. Internet is good. Lots of TV channels, even many English speaking ones.

The mattress was a bit hard for me.

From the moment you arrive at this hotel you feel pampered. The location is exceptional, it is very quiet and grand. The staff are super welcoming and helpful. The rooms are incredible - super comfy beds great size and the view over the river is just breathtakingly beautiful. The breakfast every morning was another highlight. From the buffet available everything was fresh and delicious and the noodle station absolutely fantastic. The staff preparing the dishes accommodating and skilled. The pool is a delight ! Wish we could have stayed longer.

Maybe add a couple more umbrellas at the poolside.

If you are looking for a quiet hotel just outside of the city center — this is the place. The property is gorgeous and well-maintained. Taking a dip in the pool after a long travel day was incredibly relaxing. The staff were exceptional and incredibly helpful throughout my stay — special thanks to Poy and Kam. I recommend enjoying the happy hour at Le Bistrot and taking in a view of the sunset over the river. Breakfast was included with my room and the buffet was great with a nice selection of options. The view from the terrace overlooking the river could not be beat. All in all, I had a great stay and wish I could have stayed longer.

The Grand is the most beautiful and grand hotel in Luang Prabang. We enjoyed it even more than the Amantaka. The hotel is on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Mekong, thus the view is spectacular. It might not have the convenience of hotels in the center of the town, but it has a sense of privacy and grandness that is simply unbeatable. The entire property was so beautiful, enchanted with historical and architectural charm. Being in the hotel is like entering a time warp. The pool by the lawn is a gleaming jewel. As for the distance to town, it's a 10-minute tuck tuck ride, which isn't bad at all. We can't wait to go back to stay there again!

We enjoyed our stay so much, the staff and management are unbelievably helpful. They really do everything they can to make you feel welcome. We were so happy to have chosen this hotel. The setting is so peaceful and beautiful with large grounds and very beautiful rooms and amazing views of the river and mountains. The room is large and the bed is super comfortable and we really liked the breakfast. Pool is great too. Easy shuttle to go into town.

Very poor breakfasts. Dirty dishes were often found. The Chinese, who tasted from shared plates at the soup station and put the spoons back into shared plates. The staff didn't tell them anything. That's was terrible

It was tired in places, not enough sun loungers, umbrellas and towels around pool area. outside furniture dirty, no bar or food at pool. ate lunch at Bistro, tables were dirty Breakfast buffet not very exciting and coffee was cold

Beautiful layout on the river a couple of miles from the center of town. Very serene. The hotel runs a van several times a day to the center. Staff is lovely and room was comfortable.

Breakfast has a variety of foods available, but preparation was largely uninspired compared to other properties we visited. On the other hand, the dining terrace is absolutely gorgeous.
