The location was really nice, in the middle of old manor, only a few minutes from the center, by a large park with a beautiful atmosphere. The building itself was old, but renovated, with good parking area. I had a large single room, which I enjoyed. The furniture was not the latest model, except the TV, but everything functioned well. The staff was really nice and helpful. They served a tasty set breakfast which was large enough, even though it could have been a bit more healthier. In my opinion the value for the money was very good.

Ok breakfast, could consider spicing it up with seasonal local extras like berries, besides the local cheese selection. No fruits observed, unless you are one of those who consider bacon to be fruit. Good location next to old park (two shortest routes there and to center contain stairs and cobblestone). Helpful staff.

Some of the rooms are a bit dated, but I guess they won't even offer those ones unless the hotel is full. Downstairs handicapped room could utilize some renovation, other rooms observed were better. Not much of sound isolation, but a tranquil area in general.

Great friendly staff, well equipped and clean rooms, parking on site, historic building. Rooms were ...Soviet, I see this as a positive experience as I felt like I was touring 1980s USSR but see below dislike for context.

Rooms were terribly out dated - see above, overall I enjoyed the experience but don't expect a modern room, I don't think this is a negative but some people will. The area is unfortunately under developed, a lot of tourist potential but it has been left to decay, so there is not much of interest around the area.

Kalna Ligzda is almost in the centre - everything is within walking distance. The room was warm despite the cold outside. It was also big and comfortable with many cupboards for keeping things and chairs and a big wardrobe. It is possible to stay there for a longer period. Breakfast was perfect. Everything was made exactly for us and the coffee was really tasty. The staff was responsive and helpful. We got information about the best places to visit.

I didn't quite understand how the shower works. It looked very modern but I couldn't use all its functions and in the end, the bathroom floor was full of water.

It's a nice little hotel, clean, warm and quiet location.

We probably had a bit too high of expectations for breakfast. Pretty bland. It's a nice bonus if you're taking this hotel either way as breakfast is no extra cost. But we picked this hotel in front of considerably cheaper options

Breakfast was great, freshly cooked for you. They brought a fridge to the room upon request. The shower and toilet facilities are new. Great service, dogs allowed.

The toilet seat didn't really stay in place, it was ok if you knew how to prepare for it.

I stayed for 3 people in one room. Everything was clean, hospitality was amazing! It’s cozy and there are friendly staffs. Location is also nice. (very close to the center of Smiltene) And cheap!!

Excellent hotel, very hearty breakfast, spacious bathrooms, good sound insulation. The hotel is located in a manor complex, a very calm, beautiful and quiet place

I like, nearly the everything. Very silent place to stay, clean room, very, very hearty breakfast, friendly staff, good Wi-Fi.

Just one thing. In shower room the ceiling is peeling off. But for such money I can't expect more.

Price performance was excellent, location very comfortable and very nice and helpful staff. Interior mighy be quite outdated, but overall everything was great.
