We took this last minute and pitched for the two room apartment, thinking more space and comfort for a little bit more money. Great decision. It was a very spacious apartment, both well heated and equipped, and pretty well situated. If you wish to cook, you can easily do so. Check in worked well and we made ourselves very comfortable here. So much so that we extended for one extra night, simply through a new booking. Many thanks for an excellent stay.

We never did meet a staff member, although the reception seemed occupied at times. We attributed to this being the holiday season and that we seemed to be the sole guests. So we accepted that and it was not a problem at all, as in fairness, they did leave a local taxi number on the door and that turned out to be a Godsend. (Once we figured out the right mix of English, Latvian, and Russian that worked; considering the heavy snow, the taxi drivers were prompt, friendly, and efficient.)

I got into town early and was so grateful to be able to check in early. The location was great, and the one time I did encounter a staff member (during check-in) it was pleasant.

I was on the ground floor which was fine, but the room did have no air ventilation so, because it was at times, I had the window open for fresh air when I was home. The problem I encounter was it was near the seats in the courtyard area so people would hang out and smoke, and that smell went directly into my room. Also having a mini fridge would have been nice. I was there for 3 nights so without having an option to store food I couldn't keep leftovers.

Good value for price. Hotel in city center, 200 m from the main square. Comfortable free parking. Clean. Safe and silent. Outside door is locked all the time. We did not see and hear any other people.

The room is too small for five people. There are two chairs, table and fridge are for two, max three persons. There is no common kitchen in hotel.

Everything except just one minor point below. Love the location that's within reasonable walking distance to transport, attractions and restaurants. Hotel service was via remote (phone / text) and responses were always very quick. Also loved the space heater that complemented the existing heating fixtures.

In my ground floor room, upstairs flushing/showering could be clearly heard. This was more frequent on Sat when rooms were full, and totally not an issue on Sunday night when most everyone had departed. Not a deal breaker, and I would definitely stay here again - just thought I would mention it for those sensitive to noise.

Conveniently located. Exceptional value. Huge room. Very comfortable bed. Outstanding water pressure in the shower! I would highly recommend this property. Better than my airbnb in Riga!

Google maps takes you to the backside of the building so not the fault of the property. If using Google maps follow the street around the corner to the other side of the building.

Room was spacious, everything was there, both bathroom, shampoos, shower gel, both coffee, tea. That was excellent!

The soundproofing. Unfortunately you could hear everything that was happening in the corridor and in the room next to us, as if the people were in our room. It was very loud.

Perfect place to stay in Cesis. Clean and centric. Bright room with good views (maybe too bright, a darkest curtain would be welcomed). NICE!! Thanks!

They should change the Google address, It took us some time to find the main entrance (we met other guests with the same problem). So if you come, what we highly recommend, go direct to the opposite side of the building in the same street you had turn following Katrina's first sign.

The perfect location, and the view from our window. The self check in was great. And we were very happy to see the snacks and teas on the table. Good comunication from the hoast. We would reccomend to stat here.

Location in the heart of the city. Self check-in and check-out is very convenient. Clean, comfortable room.

Shower doors hardly opening and closing - I was afraid to break then using. Electrical sockets in the top of the mirror in the toilet room - hard to plug hair dryer, looks like you break it - hair dryer not completely suitable for sockets.

Good location, good locker box system and instructions.

Would be really nice if the room would have a fridge. Also maybe some cooking possibilities in the common room would be nice? At least a microwave oven.
