It's a decent, good hotel in the center of Sigulda. Our room was as described, it was big enough and had the amenities we expected. The breakfast was good, the choice to eat was plentiful and the food tasty. We also used hotel restaurant and were satisfied. Sigulda itself is nice although during our 2 day stay we had 1 day rain - and since we are the outdoor type of tourists, we had not much to do.

The main issue was the smell in the room in the afternoon and evening - probably from sewage. We had to have windows open to keep fresh air. It is not truly foul, just unpleasant enough to notice. The other thing are thin walls so if you are a light sleeper, it might bother you.

My stay at Hotel Sigulda was impulsive, and it was well worth it! After a day trip to Cesis, I decided to spend the night in Sigulda. Lovely hotel, excellent location very close to train station and near a beautiful forest, walking path, and park. The attached restaurant was a great bonus since I arrived after 20:00 and was looking for a great dinner. It didn't disappoint! Breakfast was wonderful with great coffee and plenty of options. My bed was very comfortable, and the hotel was accommodating in holding my luggage while I did some exploring after checkout. A lovely stay!

Location, free parking. I liked the unobtrusive kindness and help of the receptionist. Cleanliness and design of the common areas. Breakfast. Since we were in the off-season and from Sunday to Monday, we didn't really meet other guests. Special praise for the coffee from the Kalve coffee machine. I liked the opportunity to use the SPA sauna and pool for an additional fee.

There are no shelves in the bathroom to put cosmetics, the spare toilet paper roll is placed on the flush box, there is no place to put towels, no hair conditioner, no clothes hanger. There are only a couple of plastic hangers in the wardrobe. There are two small pillows on the bed, and here the double bed was offered not one blanket for two, but two single blankets. Our room was offered on the first floor, actually next to the reception and the hotel accounting. The entrance door to the room is thin, there are no carpets in the corridor, so there is a lack of privacy. With all this, I just wanted to point out that the hotel manager's "eye" is missing, which would raise the 8.6 customer satisfaction rating given by Booking.com much higher.

Clean, nice spa amenities. Nice food in the restaurant.

We booked spa for an hour (pool and jacuzzi). Sauna not included, kinda makes sense as it turned out. We were advised by friendly staff that if sauna is a priority, we should have used amenities during public opening. That way, you could do the usual 2-3 sessions in the sauna and use the pool and jacuzzi. Also, when booking Spa for an hour, you should arrive 10 min prior to your slot as you are asked to leave 10 min before the hour. We found that when turned up 5 past the hour :) It's not a big deal, but something that could have been mentioned on the website where private booking is explained in pretty good detail.

First receptionist woman was genuinely welcoming and kind upon arrival. Superb location, room was spacious enough with variable heater, trash bin wasn't hidden, kettle near by for tea, TV was working with plenty of channels to choose from. Very much appreciated fixed shower gel in shower and soap, not annoying small bottles like in some hotels. SPA and breakfast is a must if staying in this Hotel, sauna and thin pancakes alone deserve separate rating, definitely worth. We also appreciated large single bed (requested while booking), specifically line in between the bed wasn't felt if the bed was made from two. Blanket could've been larger, however it's manageable. Carpet in hallway and stairs - lessens possible noise.

The room wasn't vacuumed before arrival, or not enough, as we got small chunks of baked rye garlic bread sticking to our socks from the floor by the bed and couch. Wanted to keep this unpleasant surprise within hotel bounds, but as we checked out of room next day, next shift receptionist didn't ask how was our stay, stand-up or maintain eye contact for that matter, just took the keys. Before leaving I even asked "is that it?", meaning, was our business with hotel concluded, so I won't have to write this, alas the reply was "yes, take care".

We had the most amazing time. Mrs Yolanda at the reception was soo kind and warm she made us feel so welcomed!!! She helped us stroll around the city which made our trip even more unique. The stuff at the restaurant was very kind and the service was trully excellent, the food was very tasty and definitely worth eating there. The rooms were very clean, tidy and very cozy with such a nice view. We were very lucky because the morning before we left it snowed and the whole vacation seemed to be just as a fairytale for us. Thankyou soo much for making our holidays even more unforgetable !!

The staff was very helpful. The restaurant served a superb dinner and the breakfast was good as well.

A minor snag was that we couldn't use the pool in the morning, because it was in private use with beforhand reservations. However, the staff informed us about a sports centre nearby, where it would have been possible to take a morning dip.

Location and food was nice, shower was very good, room was very clean

The two separate beds' mattresses were a little too hard, it might be important for people with back issues. The pillows provided were very thin and smaller than I'm used to have in hotels. I know it wasn't mentioned in the list of amenities but it's important to note that in our standard room there was no refrigerator, no air conditioner, no phone to reach the front desk. The room was also quite dark with only one small roof window for the light.

Sigulda Hotel is situated in the heart of nice Sigulda city. For those travelling by car - they have free, big parking. Hotel has own restaurant. The staff was very friendly and helpful - they gave me a big breakfast box because of my early check-out. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, hair dryer, soap and shower gel was available, as well as iron and iron desk. Everything was great.

Slightly bad smell from the toilet after using the shower, but it is not very annoying.
