Great menu at the restaurant and delicious food, beautiful surroundings.

Pictures on the walls in the rooms could be changed. I don't want a photo of some woman looking at me when I'm sleeping. Paintings on the walls in the restaurant wasn't much better either - very depressive.

A plea It was a great pleasure to stay here. The staff were all friendly and diligent. We're particularly grateful to the manager, who was helpful when we had a small medical problem. The room was spacious, pleasant, quiet and clean. Breakfasts were good, and the dinner we had was delicious and well-presented. We took several long walks through the forests. The castle in Cesis is well worth a visit, and Cesis is full of nice cafes and restaurants.

Take some effective mosquito repellent! This is only a problem outdoors at certain times - they have very good screens on the windows.

Our Delux room at Vila Ieva was great - spacious, cozy, high-quality wooden design, beautiful windows with protection from mosquitos, tissues and water as extras (what we appreciate a lot since travel with a kid), open kitchen on the ground floor. Restaurant has a nice-looking terrace, food is good and staff is nice. The reception staff was great - helped to solve our reservation issue.

Territory is spacious, but absolutely useless, theres no infrastructure for kids or any cozy spaces for hanging out except for one empty terrace. We did not find anything that could be interesting for us. Restaurant terrace could be more tidy.

Wonderful location, really friendly and helpful staff and wonderful buildings. The food in the restaurant was so good we ate there both nights, rather than go into Cesis. The stand out dessert was the potatoe vanilla mousse, not kidding g it was extraordinary.

The room was large and with a really comfortable sofa. However, there were no tea or coffee facilities in the room. You had to go down to front hall to get a hit drink. On the first morning my husband had to get dressed, go down only to gi d there were no mugs available. So he had to go to the main building to find some. The staff were lovely and him two cups to bring back. The curtains are very thin and do nothing to keep out the light at this time of year. If we hadn'tbrought eye masks, doubt we would have slept at all. Housekeeping hadn't replenished the shampoo/shower gel. Fortunately I had some with me, so we could shower on day 2.

We arrived just after 3pm, the official check-in time, but our room wasn’t ready. They offered a different one, but we chose to wait, and we're glad we did. Given the hotel had few guests that day, they should have planned better and prioritised rooms booked for Sunday. While I understand Saturday was fully booked, guests arriving the next day shouldn’t be kept waiting, especially after a long, rainy day. Nothing against the hotel itself, but we expected more liveliness. It was dead silent, the restaurant was closed, and we only saw maybe two other guests and the receptionist. We had hoped for a more atmospheric, vibrant vibe, but I guess Sundays don’t offer that.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Villa Santa, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and breathtaking surroundings. The villa itself is beautifully designed, blending elegance with comfort. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and tastefully decorated, offering a true sense of relaxation. The outdoor area was equally stunning. One of the highlights was the incredible attention to detail. Whether it was the cozy ambiance, the well-equipped amenities, or the little thoughtful touches, everything was designed to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The location was also perfect—peaceful yet conveniently close to local attractions, restaurants, and scenic spots. Whether you’re looking for a romantic escape or a relaxing retreat with family and friends, Villa Santa is the ideal choice.

Our experience at Villa Santa was nothing short of exceptional.

The location was a bit difficult to find due to Google Maps not showing accurate directions. But once we found it, it was paradise. Absolutely gorgeous location nestled in the woods. All three buildings are charming. The staff were great. Breakfast was amazing, as were the cocktails. Our room and bathroom were very spacious, with plenty of windows and natural lighting. Everything was tastefully arranged and decorated. Since it is in the woods, make sure to take mosquito repellent so you can enjoy the outdoors. I hope to go back some day!

That we only stayed one night.

Everything was great: super clean, large, comfortable room - bright and airy, comfortable bed, great view from the window. Nice meal at the restaurant - we celebrated my and my husband's Birthday and received complementary cakes that was lovely. Enjoyed our sauna visit - great concept to have a specific slot and then only your couple/family is there.

My only wish - the sauna visit was a tad longer - like 1h 15 min instead on an hour - would allow that extra time to get undressed/dressed without a rush.

Arriving in our room, we were stunned with the treetop view, the spaciousness, the privacy. Breakfast at the restaurant was more than adequate, with several options on the buffet. Staff were polite and accommodating. Location was convenient to the National Park. Grounds were lovely and in a very peaceful setting. Location was a short drive from the historic town center, convenient, but pleasantly remote.

Minor, but noted: Room windows did not open fully, so was a bit of an issue on unseasonably warm nights. A portable fan would have made it better. Some intermittent (mostly daytime) noise from nearby road, but with windows closed, could not be heard. A few items on the breakfast buffet were not as fresh as they could be (greens, fruit salad).

The highlight for us was the quality of the restaurant meals. Good selection of options, reasonable prices, and very tasty. Out of our 10 days touring Latvia we had the best meals here on our 2 night stay. The hotels facilities are all modern and high quality.

Giving 2 hours notice to pre book the private sauna was a bit frustrating. It would have been good to know that in advance to help us plan ahead.
