Good spa with a nice warm swimming pool. Breakfast is good and not far from excellent : need better natural juices and a good bigger coffee machine, at the moment they have a small home coffee machine that makes bad coffee and worse it always is without water, milk or coffee beans!

Personal: I have never seen so unfriendly hotel personal, specially, not in Madagascar where people are so nice and friendly. It felt as if I had to be thankful to be accepted to stay there. I didn't feel welcomed, I didn't feel any hospitality whatsoever! If you come in winter months, you will probably be in a cold room, since nobody seems to know how to make the air conditioners produce heat. This might be fixed soon, but I have seen this same complaint in 1 year old review.

The check-in and check-out process was smooth. Thank you Duca and Lalaina for accommodating my requests and making my stay comfortable. Food was exceptional albeit limited breakfast buffet. The room was clean and bed comfortable. Good shower pressure. Very good location and access to other restaurants and the city center. I felt safe there as a solo traveller.

The only down part was the slowed internet connection in the rooms was frustrating, maybe consider adding boosters?

We were very satisfied with our double superior terrace room. There are some reviews about the rooms being dated, but our experience was more than positive. The room, bathroom, terrace , all was clean and we had enough space. We booked our stay with breakfast and you can find all you need in the morning; fresh fruit, bread, omelette, delicious coffee and more. When ordering roomservice; all came very fast. We enjoyed the food from the restaurant, but also the kindly service from the whole staff. We enjoyed our whole stay in the hotel. Thank you.

Friendly staff. Rooms and hotel generally was .very clean. Food reasonably priced. Cleaning staff excellent.

Rooms very small. Breakfast needs improving with more fruit, more choice of breads and more choice of food all round. I was there for two weeks and it was mostly the same food each day. Need to get an urn for hot water as the domestic kettle needs to be filled constantly. Should be a separate area for business travellers to work, not in the cafe. The upstairs lounge is unsuitable because of the type of seating. Would have been nice to have an area to watch sport. The upstairs lounge would suit this. It was never used in the time I was there. Only one English language tv channel - more choice required.

- Jacuzzi could get some maintance, very poor performance - You need to take (and buy if you do not have) swimming cap to access jacuzzi and pool ---> is it really necessary? - Room service could give more peaces of tea/coffee to the room (not big price, good impression to clients)

The rooms are comfortable, modern, clean, stylish with beautiful views out over the roof tops of the haute ville of Antananarivo and the blooming jacaranda. The spa and workout room are great. The Citron Poivre is a nice informal place for a quick solo meal or a working meeting with colleagues.

The basic rooms are a bit small and I find the breakfast expensive.

Requested a room with a bathtub during the reservation, staff quickly responded with a confirmation. Buffet breakfast. The staff is very polite. I was staying large corner room with a balcony, a large bathroom, and a comfortable bed. Access to the gym, spa, and swimming pool.

I decided to splurge on this trip, booking a suite at Le Louvre Hotel and Spa. I’d learned the hard way not to go cheap when it comes to accommodations in Africa and wanted to treat myself to commemorate such a special destination and my last African nation. 54 nations in the hardest-to-travel continent in the world and I’d made it to number 54. The least I could do was book a great room. Even with the expensive (for Africa) price and the great rating online, I still didn’t quite know what to expect – but upon arrival, I knew I’d chosen wisely. The hotel’s bright reception joined a casual eating area with high ceilings and big menus on the wall filled with tempting options. Palms surrounded the wide, open-air spiral staircase in the middle of the building. And my room was just perfect – a split-level suite with a lot of wood and stone everywhere. The best part: a balcony that looked right out onto all the action in the street.

I felt it was strange to charge guests to use the pool.

The breakfast was excellent. Very welcoming staff .

The internet connection was quite slow. And the room i was staying in was sinking and the lights was not working well.

Great place to stay in Antananarivo. Was upgraded to a lovely room, enjoyed the pool and sauna, had a wonderful facial. 100% recommend.

Breakfast is great but restaurant could be improved. The vegetarian options are not very tasty.
