We had a lovely stay at BuBu! The service was friendly and professional, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was a real highlight—fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. Free cocktails during Happy Hour are great. The location on Long Beach is absolutely stunning—truly a slice of paradise. That said, we did find the overall price quite high for what was offered (but there are limited alternatives in the Perhentians). We chose not to book any snorkeling trips through the hotel, as the prices were about four times higher than other options available. The same went for the restaurant, which was disappointing as we would have loved to enjoy more meals there.

Room was incredibly expensive for what it was, quite basic, no TV or big mirror, we paid extra for sea view it was more like a partial sea view, still nice, but not worth paying that amount. The food and drinks were also so so expensive compared to other places, we ended up paying a fortune, for mediocre meals The wifi barely worked.

We had issue with aircond but on the 2nd nite it become worst. At 2am the water and ice came out from the aircond. We reported to the staff . He came on the spot, take it off and clean it for abt 1.5 hours the aircond is working fine again. I dont expect maintenance will attend us in the middle of the nite. But they did. Tq Bubu resort.

Wifi is not that stable but understandable. Was supposed enjoy the time without gadget but unfortunately still need to attend office call. And the fact that kitchen is in the bathroom...a bit off.

The food at the resort restaurant “SANTAI” is amazing! The best so far on the island. Staff is friendly, communicate well. Everything is spot on, clean, well maintained. The garden in the middle of the resort, beautiful. Loving the sunbed area, ample amount of sunbed for the guest. Crystal clear water, the beach is amazing. Soft sandy beach, and it goes deep, without any little rocks or dead corals. Very soft to the feet. Very near to the jetty, which is perfect.

Upper floor level Unfortunately I got the room facing to MIMPI Resort (opposite Bubu) Still got the sea view, but in a 45 degree view.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is very close to the jetty and the beach in front of the hotel is so stunning. Additionally, there are lots of food stalls if u walk by along the beach.

The room is quite small and not much space, especially for us Muslim families to pray. The room floor is a bit dirty when we check in. There is no tv in the room.

First, was the amazing service the young Asian man gave us he was just welcoming and amazing, I had lost one of my bags and he was not leaving no stone unturned to find it, and he did had my bag returned to me the following day, what an incredible person he is, I’m just sorry I forgot his name! It’s was a beautiful family room we had where our adult daughter got to have time alone in her own room and we had our’s, the balcony was beautiful, however at night the mosquitoes attacked us within (5) minutes that we came off the balcony and jumped into the shower

Location was ideal, right by the jetty and right on the beach. The staff were so friendly, the restaurant staff were great and couldn’t do enough for you. The reception staff were helpful especially Ibtissem, she was so helpful with our needs. She also joined us on a snorkelling tour and took underwater photos of us free of charge and sent them to me. The photos were great and it was worth the extra 20 ringgit (per person) to book through bubu rather than one of the other cheaper places and the boat was much better than the smaller ones. We ended up staying an extra night because we loved it so much.

Food in the restaurant is expensive compared to other places for a similar standard of local food but there are so many other restaurants to each at which are cheaper if you wanted to.

Perfect location of the hotel with dedicated beach front, excellent room facilities.. 5 star sea view..major LOVE Santai Cafe serves varieties of local & western food..but there are also other cafes nearby if you like to try out local dishes. 3D2N stay would be sufficient to do water activities.. but if you stay longer there are other activities like hiking, sunset viewing, atv.

Guest shall be well informed about how to go about from the Meet & Greet point at Kuala Besut Jetty-boat transfer-car parking facilities..beforehand once the hotel booking is confirmed. We weren't aware that there are dedicated boat for Bubu guest..but that's ok..since we managed to catch it up last minute. But getting back from the Resort was a bit chaos as the boatman asking for 'yellow receipt' from us else we weren't allowed to board the boat..it left us clueless..it turns out it wasn't a dedicated boat for Bubu's guest only even though I have informed the PIC about the time we were supposed to go back to Kuala Besut Jetty. Fortunately we managed to board after I showed him the text between me & the PIC. Not a great ending to our wonderful stay.

We really liked the location, the restaurant and the general feel of the place. The hotel was right on the beach and so was the restaurant, which meant we had fantastic views of the ocean. Free breakfast was really good and we had a free cocktail and canapés every day from 4-6pm, which was a lovely touch.

The hotel room wasn’t massive, but we weren’t in it much so it wasn’t really an issue. It was quite expensive for what you got, but the location made it worth it. It was stunning!

Restaurant is nice but A bit overpriced vs what is offered just near all along the beach. Expensive transportation arranged by the hotel from Kuala Besut to Bubu Resort : private transports but they do not give a full overview of other transportations means if you want to pay less. For daily trip, few offers compared to what is proposed from others in Long Beach
