We absolutely loved our three-night stay at the Perhentian Marriott. The biggest highlights included: - Facilities: The facilities and gardens were excellent. The property has three pools, all overlooking the ocean. Likewise, it has two restaurants and a bar, which provide a good variety of foods and drinks. - Staff: The staff were incredible! They were friendly, communicated effectively and made us feel at home during our stay. A particular thanks to Haziq who served us at the restaurant every day and Firdaus the ‘roti man’ for their exceptional service. - Romantic beach: Romantic beach is a three-minute walk down a set of stairs from the resort. The beach is beautiful and had so many species of fish. Visiting each day was the highlight of our stay! - Room: The room was spacious and well appointed. The bathroom was huge and had a beautiful shower and bath.

- Location: People visiting the island, particularly during the off-peak period, should be aware that there are limited options outside of the resort. - Convenience store: It would be useful for the property to have an on-site convenience store with snacks and drinks, given it is not located nearby any shops on the island.

Our staywas enjoyable overall. The room was clean, the staff was friendly and the location was convenient for exploring the area.

When we find roaches in our room at nigh and this made the stay uncomfortable for both me and my partner as we felt uneasy the entire night. When we reported the issue, we only received an apology which felt dismissive considering the severity of the problem and such reputation of the resort. No effort was made to compensate or address the situation meaningfully.

Brand new, facilities are very modern and luxury Great location with beautiful beaches around the hotel Gym has very good equipment with beautiful view Staff was helpful and buggys never took too long to come to us.

Brand new can also be a downside, because staff still need training to match the hotel category. But staff was nevertheless very friendly. We waited 1 hour for room service, and the food was not meeting expectations. Breakfast was average, expected better from such a resort. Coffee was good. Although this issue was addressed promptly, we should not have to ask personnel to request parents with kids to leave the adults only pool.

Good facilities with stunning rooms. Service is nice and staff were mostly very helpful and friendly.

It doesn't fit the landscape very well - the island is such a lovely natural paradise, but the Marriot is just concrete. There are no nice walks around the hotel - you are always walking on concrete around the complex (designed to be traversed by buggy) or through construction sites to get to the other beaches. There is a serious mark-up on activities like diving and snorkelling. Teething issues around the hotel otherwise. Have been communicative but slow about returning the deposit held on my card

Outstanding Hotel with wonderful vibe, high-end resort with excellent level of cleanliness and organisation. Great-trained associated staff, that proactively helped the life easier. Spacious rooms, amazing beach with the great coral riff, when you can meet baby sharks. Hi level of hospitality from Diving Center as well. Catamaran sea trip for a snorkeling was extremely comfortable and impressive. Transfer on Marriot ship was very comfortable as well, worth to use against the 3rd party water taxi!

The best getaway ever. It’s our second visit to Perhentian Marriott Resort and Spa. I really valued how registration process changed: you can register and get room keys before loading to boat shuttle. When you get to the island you could start enjoying your vacation. Kids (4,6,12) really loved kids and teen-club. Snorkeling at amazing Romantic beach is top. If you want to make your trip remarkable, please take sunset cruise. Restaurants have big variety of delicious food: eastern, western, desserts. Room is always clean, staff is very kind and always ready to help if you need smth. Highly recommended. Will definitely come again.

Everything! Amazing location on Perhentian island. Very modern resort with very luxurious rooms. Both restaurants have excellent cuisine and various offers. The pools and beaches are nice and well maintained. Romantic beach is excellent for snorkeling. You can rent your gear from the hotel and its diving center. They offer various day trips for diving and snorkeling. You can also get diving lessons. In the pool of the diving center but also in the area. The Marriott has its own fleet of ships: a ferry to take you to and from the island to their mainland hotel, Fairfield, where their jetty is located. One diving/snorkeling ship. One diving/snorkeling catamaran. Most importantly: the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The best we have experienced so far. Also make sure to leave the resort at least one time and visit the restaurant next door. Great food on offer and run by locals. And who doesn't want to experience that and support local people. One note: while the temperature does not seem too high with around thirty degrees Celsius, the UV index is extremely high. Be prepared for this. The diving center sells UPF swim long sleeves and trust me: you will need it.

Everything about this resort feels luxurious and is so well arranged. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and the bed is very comfortable. There is a buggy service to bring you anywhere in the resort. There are three pools, each beautifully designed with ocean view. The food in both restaurants is really good, we especially liked the seafood specialty restaurant which had great (poolside) snacks too. Every single person of the staff is genuinely friendly and so helpful. We’ve only spent two nights here, but would’ve loved to stay longer as we had such a relaxing time. It’s more expensive than other accommodations on the Perhentian islands, but absolutely worth it.

wow, what can you say, what an extraordinarily special stay we had here, we were treated like absolute royalty, the staff couldn't do enough for you. the pools were beautiful, the room was gorgeous, the facilities were top notch! romantic beach was an absolute dream and don't think we will ever see such a beautiful beach in our lives ever again, we even had it to ourselves for about an hour and felt like millionaires. the food here was incredible, the best breakfast buffet you could imagine, and we wish we could have eaten all day long. the free ferry to take you from the mainland to the island and vice versa is also an amazing touch. we loved absolutely everything about this place and would 100% return, what a truly magical place.

the only thing we would have liked is perhaps a small convenience shop to buy some snacks, just a bag of crisps or a bit of chocolate as there isn't anything else around, however, there are plenty of things to get off the actual menu so not a deal breaker. we also would like to see a couple more ferry times as we paid for a private boat to take us to the resort otherwise we would have lost out on 3 hours of our first day.

This hotel is everything you dream from your desk while you are working and imagining the perfect holiday! The staff is amazing, helpful, kind and attentive. A shout out for Faezah, who has been super helpful on a challenging situation and went above and beyond to assist us. Rooms are big and comfortable, facilities are well kept and look after all day long. The Romantic beach accessible from the resort it is a paradise and easy to reach!

Netflix app should be an option included-on the tv. Food is good but the quality (especially breakfast) could be improved.
