Private terrace with a beautiful view on the sea. Private beach just in front of our accommodation. Quiet place in the nature as it is at the end of the beach. Senja Bay Resort has its own restaurant. They have nice food. It's really easy when you don't want to walk along the beach or to Long Beach (only 15 minutes away). The room is big enough and air conditioning was working. Monkeys, monitors and squirrels are walking around. Scuba diving centers close by. Staff is nice.

Not luxurious but we knew it... and we didn't need luxury. Nature around was the luxury !

I'm excited to give this rating and review, since I read such misleading and untrue reviews before booking, and I was pretty scared about what I might have found. Senja bay is a lovely, authentic place, wooden houses just above the beach, in front of a splendid sea. You're just 10 mins away from long beach, where most of the restaurants and Café are, especially at night, and 5 mins away from the jetty. Staff is lovely, welcoming and nice all the time, they help with the luggages if needed. I must say room was clean and so was the bathroom. We spent there 5 nights and we have 0 problems. Breakfast is simple but still a good way to start the day, also the kitchen not bad. 100% recommended to stay on this island

Reception is not open 24hs, but I believe this is quite usual for this kind of accommodations. Shower is just above the toilet, but still, considering the location, was fine. Some little insects came and visit us, but this is the ordinary - don't forget you're going on a tropical island

Classic looking, rustic look, close with nature and best part is there were no mosquitoes bothering us. It was clean. Bedrooms were clean, bedding was comfortable with 2 pillows on our double bed. We booked 2 rooms with the kids in the other room side by side. View was good overlooking the sea front. Behind were the jungles. Toilet is clean, flush water excellent. The WC worked well without issues. Fresh water was clean and bathing with warm water was pleasant. Hairdryer provided. Wi-Fi provided. Fan and Aircond was working well. Kept us cool throughout the night. Even heavy rain at night didn’t disturb our sleep as we couldn’t hear through rain drops in our lodge. Restaurant food buffet breakfast was decent with traditional Malay and Chinese and western dishes. The Nasi Lemak, CKT, Roti Canai, scrambled eggs and toast and beans were nicely prepared. Strawberry jam and butter goes well with the tea and coffee. Enjoyable complimentary breakfast. Nice coral beach for snorkeling and sun bathing on the beach chairs.

Wi-Fi kept breaking off every 10 mins. The 11am-2pm the power outage is not convenient if you’re having your bathe or in the toilet as it is absolute dark.

Staff at the café/restaurant were exceptionally friendly! The food was good and not too expensive when compared with other restaurants on the beach. The location at the end of the bay makes this a nice quiet place compared with the rest of the beach. The beach hut, despite not having AC, was quite comfortable. The air-conditioned room was very comfortable too.

The bathroom in the beach hut could do with a bit of love. A new coat of paint and a proper clean would have helped it feel more comfortable.

Well located on Coral Bay waterfront, quiet at night because not too close to other places Room is correct, good comfort and its own shower. Not too far from the beach and reception Accessible and helpful staff (quick response when the aircon stopped working)

Room could be a bit more clean (dust and everything) but overall is ok if you are not expecting a 5-stars Some parts of the roof were leaking under heavy rain The door of the bathroom was not closing completely

Wasn’t aware of luggage support from jetty so had to drag cases across the sand. The shower mat was dirty and old. No full length mirrors. Some difficult with ferry arranged on return but was sorted by hotel. It was evident that it was end of season and staff may have been less attentive but we aren’t really needy travellers so tried to ignore this,

The location was perfect, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Snorkelling from the beach outside the hotel was amazing and finding a beer was easy 😁 Some of the reviews we read before staying at Sanja made us a little nervous but I can honestly say this hotel was amazing. We didn't want to leave and would stay here again if we ever return to Perhentian Island.

Coral bay is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Perhentian, more beautiful than Long Beach. Senja Bay Resort is located in the most beautiful spot on Coral Bay. Good value for money. On the beach, they have free beach chairs and there is a shower to rinse off after swimming. The food in the restaurant is OK but not special, there are better restaurants on Coral Bay.

The bungalows are fairly basic and somewhat dated, but everything is there and works. Good value for money.

Great location and lovely beach right in front of the resort, although basic the room had everything I needed with the most beautiful view of the sunsets. The restaurant had a small menu but great food overall.

This is not the fault of the property but guests please be aware - I stepped on a Stonefish during my stay at Senja, right near the shore while cooling off from tanning. Please be mindful and wear water shoes, it would also be helpful if the property put up signs for awareness as well.

Great location, free yoga mats to put on sunbeds. Breakfast was also pretty good! Friendly staff. We had no bedbugs or insects in our room(18) We were a bit hesitant as we didn’t read the bad reviews but really loved our stay. It’s just budget resort, but it’s also very cheap.

Rooms were indeed old, but clean Shower was meh, but in the sea most of the time anyways Food during the day is not that good, we recommend rosemary cafe
