My beach view room at the Mimpi Perhentian was fantastic. Had exceptional quality staff that was always eager to help and the location was just perfect!

The food was expensive! So we ended up eating out most of the time. Also, I would appreciate some environment-friendly measures, like refilled filter water bottles, for example.

Modern rooms and location

- there were stains on the bedsheets that were causing itching. The minimum i expect from an expensive hotel was the cleanliness of the bedsheets -the staff in the restaurant couldn’t talk great english so we didn’t know before that the coffee was not included in the breakfast cost but paid a part (5 euro)

The location was excellent, staff were great. Clean room with an awesome view.

While Mimpi offered comfortable accommodations and friendly service, the breakfast left much to be desired. The selection was extremely limited, with few options for those with dietary restrictions or preferences. For a hotel of this caliber, we expected a more diverse and satisfying breakfast experience. The lack of options was a major disappointment, especially considering the price of the stay. We hope the hotel will consider expanding and improving its breakfast selection to better cater to the diverse needs and expectations of its guests.

Everything was perfect, from the transfer from the airport to the spa! Rooms are spacious, quiet and comfortable. The shower was incredible I wanted to pack it and take it home with me. Bed is comfortable and aircon works well. TV channels are a bit pixelated at times. The airport transfer is great. They wait at the airport with a sign and take you to the jetty. We also asked for our boat to the island to be organised, so we turned up at the jetty and were put on the next boat out. Our bags were carried for us from the time we got off the plane until they were in our room. The snorkelling package through the hotel was also excellent with us seeing loads of wild life!! Once again, we just had to turn up in the lobby, the rest was done for us! We were even given free water for our snorkelling trip. The spa was also a highlight. Full body massage and facial. Once again, just turn up and they organise the rest. I could not recommend staying here enough! They also do hikes however we didn’t have enough time! If you want a relaxing getaway you have to book at Mimpi, you just show up and they do the rest.

Don’t get the buffet, it’s overpriced and not great. Loads of cafes on the island that are better!

- All the staffs were incredible, from jetty office to onsite hotel staff. They helped us with parking, luggage, check in, made our stay as comfortable & enjoyable as possible. - Hotel is very well designed and comfortable, with the island breeze and impeccable view of the ocean. - I was quite hesitant about the jungle-view rooms, having read reviews about smells coming from the back-facing rooms, but throughout our stay, we didn't catch any whiff of unpleasant odour. - The bed was very comfortable, size of the room was great too. TV was great! - Slippers provided was a lifesaver as I forgot to bring my sandals. - The fully stocked pantry and fridge full of complimentary drinks were superb!

- Some signs of wear & tear on some bathroom fixtures, with minor cobwebs, but nothing a better housekeeping sweep cannot fix. - Besides that, nothing to complain about!

The location is good, very close to the jetty and lots of other restaurants. The premier suite was amazing. Stunning views of the sea and the length of long beach. Very spacious and comfortable and well equipped (complementary mini bar, dressing gowns etc) and perfect for a family of 4 We also liked the swimming pool. Nice for a dip and whilst the website says it’s an adults only pool, kids are allowed to go in the pool and there were quite a few families there. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The sun deck by the beach is not particularly attractive or inviting and is one area that can be improved. The prices of the boat trips are much more expensive than the boat trips offered by every single other place on long beach. Suggest they drop the prices to fall in line with everyone else as the boats are the same.

I choose Mimpi mainly because it's closest to jetty.I like the facility despite ongoing construction and sewer smell. Warm welcome when arrived. Staff was very attentive, my needs and request was fulfilled. Provide a good amount of drinks in mini bar. Overall satisfied even it's a pricey place to stay

It's just bad timing, should do all fixing work during off-season. A bit noisey when you just want a short relaxing time on beach.. toilet a bit moldy which not a huge problem for me. I don't know whosever responsible for the jetty but the condition is not good, few railings gone which unsafe for kids. Cafe along the beach is expensive compare to other island and very risky to consume, my kids and I good food poisoning i believe from drinks so be aware. Should bring my own drinks next time.

The stay at the hotel has been magnificent. I believe it has been the best hotel on the entire island, and in my opinion, the best part was the service — the people. From the attention at the front desk to the housekeeping staff, everyone was wonderful. The rooms were incredible, and the breakfast was unbeatable. I would totally recommend it and would definitely come back.
