We love the facilites and the rooms and how accessible everything is.

It's too expensive for what you get and how many add ons there are. The boat service should be complimentary and only private boat rides should be charged. The meals were also expensive. We payed an exorbitant amount for our rooms.

-The Esmerald Bay is beautiful -Amazing views from the infinity pool -Nice restaurants and all of them have nice views, breakfast variety was very good -Boat transfer is on time and comfortable -The room was very nice, loved the sunrise. Good variety of TV channels and free water is available all around the hotel

-Trash at the beach, this is not really the hotel's fault as it seems it is carried by the current. The staff does their best on cleaning the beach very often, especially during high tie. -The games room should be bigger. Although it was fun to play there, around 9 pm was very crowded, and people had to wait to play -The jacuzzi in our villa was not covered, so it wasn't clean as leaves and rain will fall there. We couldn't use it unfortunately

The island is beautiful and a unique experience. Many tropical animals, with a beautiful beach and untouched wilderness. The resort is exclusively designed with an extremely friendly staff. The sea villa on the water was exquisite and exactly what you'd expect from the premium price.

For the massive price tag, there were a few things that could have been better. The rooms were only cleaned upon request. The buffet was pretty standard, nothing fancy. We could not book a boat tour which was advertised because there was not enough staff. And a few other little things that you just would expect to be better for this price.

Lovely staff and service. Room comfortable and clean. Everyone willing to help, courteous and polite. Overall service from booking on to checking out was smooth and easy

Minor dislikes:: Bathroom/toilet no lock on doors and no area to hang clothing or towel as such. Felt food could have been better. Feel this was more suited to young couples more. Major dislike: speedboat from Marina to resort had side door open - they had forgotten to close it before leaving the Marina, hence I hope they review their safety procedures in this. Myself and my daughter and son-in-law got soaked through but more importantly as I was the one sitting closest to the door and having my luggage with me, I could have lost my luggage if I hadn't been holding on to it. The sea was rough which was nobody's fault but safety is important.

I have to say that Absolutely Fantastic and Well Above Expectations during our stay in the resort on Pangkor island! Very gentle and careful staff, as well as quite delicious food with varieties, extremely distinctive water villa and magnificent sunrise in West Malaysia! There is a really nice beach and the green but clean water that you can just capture the life as it is due to the original ecological nature what can make you detached from the actual world for a while. Not to mention that there is an awesome SPA which you can have the full relaxation for the soul and body entirely. Last but not the least, the most impressive is that Mr. Adwin Chong, the GM from the resort, who saved my friend’s journey in a way. One of my friends had wrongly picked up the luggage which belongs to other people in the Kuala Lumpur Airport upon arrival and just realized this issue after arrived at the resort on the island, a place almost 4 hours’ drive from the airport, to make matters worse was that the unfortunate man (counterparty) had to take the flight back to Australia the next day. We turned to the GM finally and he went to be wholly devoted to dealt with this issue and managed to directly return the wrong luggage to the hotel where the guy lived in at that time, furthermore he tried to collect the luggage in the airport and handed it to my friend in a timely manner, so as to avoid successfully that my friend’s entire journey ruined by the unexpected episode. He really cares for people and what he runs is the resort with the humane business philosophy. This is definitely one of my most unforgettable memories and I would for sure go back to the resort next time! Thank you all for everything and looking forward to seeing you guys soon!

From the moment we stepped into the check-in building in the Marina, everything went very smooth. This pleace is heaven. Our garden room was excellent, the food super and we really thank the staff for being so helpfull and friendly. Terrific that kids have their own pool. The main pool is rather deep so no infants there. Diner on the beach is not cheap but we felt spoilt …

Nothing to complain about. What could be usefull is providing more information in the rooms, such as a map of the island or leaflets with all the different wellness options …

Its very nice and unique property. It has 3 main restaurants (one doesn’t allow children). Room was cleaned 2 times a day, which was very nice. Food was good, really liked the Malaysian street food night. Staff are amazing - very nice and welcoming and always happy to assist/ help. Amazing views

Emerald Bay - lots of trash, so much trash hidden behind the rocks. Looks like the resort doesn’t really bother to clean it up regularly. Its very, very expensive and the resort is tired - the villas definitely need some renovation - we had a massive hole between the front door and the villa

I love the food! I love that breakfast each day was different so I definitely did not get bored. I also enjoyed pasar malam, it was a very neat experience. The facial and massage that my husband and I got was the best we've ever had! It was absolutely beautiful and we've enjoyed our honeymoon in Pangkor Laut Resort

TV channels were very limited and the wifi had very weak connection and it was sporadic, in and out all day long.

Beautiful resort space that has a dedicated speedboat from Marina Island area to reach to PLR. Speedboat journey is promptly 10mins, superfast & rewards u with great views of the sea. We took garden villa, short walk up a gentle slope & a short flight of steps. For a famly with 2 young kids, the place is jz nice. Can request for babycot. Paid for resort stay with breakfast. Breakfast is great & faces the sea. However, about dining options & other things to take note of in PLR, read below: 1. All is halal. Feast Village & Uncle Lim has lunch & dinner, but dinner hv to make reservations. FV has only buffet style BLD- Lunch & dinner is abt RM$120 per person, & kid below a certain age eats for free(but not stated under what age). 2. Uncle Lim serves the typical mahal Chinese dinner hidang options & not suitable place for those w young kids. Which leaves u with only Feast Village, but the latter only does buffet. Idk if u wana spend that much for lunch. Fisherman's Cove is fine dining (tho the name doesnt suggest it & kids are not allowed) & Chapman's Bar at Emerald Bay only does lunch ( & idk wats the menu like). I wasnt aware of the menu nor the lack of ala carte options so we basically winged it, no cup noodles & paid for lunch & dinner buffet for 2 pax on all days. Selamat la bank kita nanti ha ha cue nervous laughter. 3. Lunch & dinner buffet at Feast Village only has plain water served. Coffee n tea are complimentary. No other water options. 4. Skip the Pangkor Island excursion tour

The only downside to the room is the bidet is an attached spray but the spray is a pointed versh which makes it a bit uncomfortable. U hv to climb in n out of the tub too. Prices are exorbitant here(see above) & also maybe not really sustainable to be served a breakfast buffet, only to do lunch buffet soon after. So my rec is to bring a several cup noodles & many snacks as supplement.

The entire resort is very beautiful, the nature is stunning. The beach is very beautiful. Here I've met the friendliest staff ever/. The food is really good, you can find plenty of traditional and international options. We've been upgraded to the SPA villa and it was the best thing, the room was spacious and recently renovated. They offer a lot of sport activities, watersports, squash, tennis, etc. Weekly they are spraying with something that keeps the mosquitos away, so we haven't really had a problem with mosquito bites, but anyway, they offer mosquito repellent and some bites calming balm.

The humidity in the room was very high, I know that the entire area is that way, but maybe a dehumidifier machine would be great in the rooms. On the beach you can sometimes see trash, but that comes from the see and the hotel staff really does their best to clean as quickly as they can.
