This is probably one of the nicer places in town. The town is so dirty, so I was worried when first arrived. But when I got into the Cube, I was relieved. Smells good, friendly people, lockers available, WiFi works perfectly. Supermarkets are very close. Dorm room was not fully booked, so I had a good night's rest.

There's nothing to complain about. Maybe the trips offered are pricey compared to same trips when you look on the street. We're talking about a few ringgit here, but backpacker's budget is tight, so I just mention that for fellow travelers who need to think about every penny in their pocket.

The location is great. The back door of the hostel leads directly onto the pier where the restaurants are. I ordered from fat mom twice and both times I was able to have them deliver to the hostel which was very convenient. When I was done, I just returned the plate back to the restaurant. My room was right outside of the reception area therefore I could hear everything happening outside. The dorm was very small as well. I liked the code access to enter the front and back of the hostel. I did 2 island tours through the hostel and both start points were right on the pier making it convenient. The guys at reception were always so helpful.

Semporna is very rundown and surrounded by children beggars who are either tapping you for money or getting yelled at by restaurant staff for sitting in front of their establishment. It is a sad sight and for that reason I didn’t feel safe walking alone at night so I really liked the hostels direct access to the pier. Although, the bathroom has 2 toilets and 2 showers, it only has 1 sink. There were multiple times I had to awkwardly share the sink with a random guy. This is not a social hostel . No breakfast included.

The staff were definitely helpful and facility was clean. It just wasn't where I would stay as it is a very busy location. It's good location if you intend to be outside all the time and just come back to sleep.

The pictures made it look like it was on the water. It is very close but unless you get a sea view room, there's not much outside your window. Our rooms ac was not working well and it was very hard to sleep due to this. Other rooms did have good ac as you could feel the cold coming out as you passed by (if their door was open) so it's not all rooms. The staff did give us a fan which made our second night better but we didn't stay the third night. Honestly, if the staff were not nice and helpful I would have probably rated my experience worse but I appreciate all the help and support that was given despite our situation.

its clean and smell nice, the staff very nice letting us placed our stuff there when we go for island hopping.. the security of the hotel is good too, there’s staff stationed there and the door got passcode, feel very safe.. we choose one of the room view is sea and the scenery very beatiful.. the place near restaurant jetty/boat for island hopping..would definitely choose here too next time

no early check in.. sharp at 3pm.. maybe need time to clean the room..

Perfect location by the pier for the tours and all the restaurants around, this hostel was an unexpected surprise in Semporna. The room was small but the bed space so comfy, featuring a ventilator and a mobile shelve for your things. The common space was very big to chill and work, the WiFi good and the showers modern and spacious. The best discovery in Semporna's limited offers.

Everything was very good.

Semporna is not the most attractive town and there are not great hotel options. We were there for a night on either end of a dive trip on Mabul Island. This hotel is definitely the best one I could find and the price was great. The rooms are tiny but very clean and there is a little balcony with water views. The location is very close to the dive shops and waterfront restaurants. There is a common area on the ground floor.

They charge you a deposit and then you have to make sure you don’t forget to ask for it back.

The location is perfect, just right behind the jetty where all the eateries and dive centres are. The staffs were very accommodative and friendly. I love how they put dining tables at the lobby for guest to hang out. The room was clean, with comfy bed. The water heater works perfectly too. It's very thoughtful to have verandah to dry out all our wet suits and swimsuits. Plus point for the strong wifi connection. Definitely a good place to stay.

I asked for my room to be made but they didnt do it. Not sure if some guest was playing prank but the door tag (please make up my room tag) that i left on the doorknob was disappeared when i returned form diving. And the room wasnt made up.

Good location and very close to the jetty. The room was clean with daily house keeping. The staff were very friendly and arranged diving and snorkelling day trips. Overall was a nice stay at a good price

They are strict on check in time with no early check in available. Would be nice if the room is ready. The beds are also a little uncomfortable if you’re sensitive to that.

The location very strategic, near the jetty & local foods. Room is ok, clean. Staff is friendly, overall a pleasant stay here.

Water pressure a bit slow. If you take room with balcony, you may want to relook because other people can see you if they stay in their room because the compartment between balcony is not until the roof only halfway

Stayed here the night before going to Mabul and the night I got back to the mainland. Perfect for a one night stay before/after heading off on a diving trip. Very central, a few minutes walk to the jetty and to the dive shops. Lots of places to eat within a minute or two walk. Place itself is clean, comfortable. I wouldn't want a prolonged stay in Semporna, but would definitely stay here again on my way to or from a Sipadan diving trip.
