This is probably one of the nicer places in town. The town is so dirty, so I was worried when first arrived. But when I got into the Cube, I was relieved. Smells good, friendly people, lockers available, WiFi works perfectly. Supermarkets are very close. Dorm room was not fully booked, so I had a good night's rest.

There's nothing to complain about. Maybe the trips offered are pricey compared to same trips when you look on the street. We're talking about a few ringgit here, but backpacker's budget is tight, so I just mention that for fellow travelers who need to think about every penny in their pocket.

The staff were definitely helpful and facility was clean. It just wasn't where I would stay as it is a very busy location. It's good location if you intend to be outside all the time and just come back to sleep.

The pictures made it look like it was on the water. It is very close but unless you get a sea view room, there's not much outside your window. Our rooms ac was not working well and it was very hard to sleep due to this. Other rooms did have good ac as you could feel the cold coming out as you passed by (if their door was open) so it's not all rooms. The staff did give us a fan which made our second night better but we didn't stay the third night. Honestly, if the staff were not nice and helpful I would have probably rated my experience worse but I appreciate all the help and support that was given despite our situation.

The location is perfect, just right behind the jetty where all the eateries and dive centres are. The staffs were very accommodative and friendly. I love how they put dining tables at the lobby for guest to hang out. The room was clean, with comfy bed. The water heater works perfectly too. It's very thoughtful to have verandah to dry out all our wet suits and swimsuits. Plus point for the strong wifi connection. Definitely a good place to stay.

I asked for my room to be made but they didnt do it. Not sure if some guest was playing prank but the door tag (please make up my room tag) that i left on the doorknob was disappeared when i returned form diving. And the room wasnt made up.

Semporna is not the most attractive town and there are not great hotel options. We were there for a night on either end of a dive trip on Mabul Island. This hotel is definitely the best one I could find and the price was great. The rooms are tiny but very clean and there is a little balcony with water views. The location is very close to the dive shops and waterfront restaurants. There is a common area on the ground floor.

They charge you a deposit and then you have to make sure you don’t forget to ask for it back.

Stayed here the night before going to Mabul and the night I got back to the mainland. Perfect for a one night stay before/after heading off on a diving trip. Very central, a few minutes walk to the jetty and to the dive shops. Lots of places to eat within a minute or two walk. Place itself is clean, comfortable. I wouldn't want a prolonged stay in Semporna, but would definitely stay here again on my way to or from a Sipadan diving trip.

The location is great and closer to the shore. The room is the same as what it is advertised. The mattress and the pillows are comfortable.

It is just that the room windows that I rented was next to a balcony where people can hang their wet clothes. If I open the curtain, public can see inside my room via the balcony. No breakfast provided but you can always do your own coffee or tea in the pantry area next to the counter in the lobby.

The decoration was good. I like the room's setting. The hotel will help us arrange transports from Taowu Airport to Semporna.

The air conditioner was leaking. The journey to Semporna was too long, which may cause too much transportation fare. I suggest that tourists not book the early morning flight back to KUL. My flight was scheduled at 9:35. I still needed to spend RM 150 taking taxi to Taowu Airport. (PS. just my experience not dislike.)

A gem in this part of town. Excellent location with many restaurants next door, and walking distance to jetties which are pick up points for island hopping. Great value for money as Sea view room has good space and a spectacular sunrise view. Great place for a short stop over for island hopping. (Photos are views from my room)

The neighbourhood is filthy and smells bad.

The cleanliness of the room is satisfied. Good location, close to the most restaurants, shops and supermarkets.

The hygiene of the surrounding of the hostel was a bit dissatisfied as the nearby restaurant didn't deal with the rubbish properly!

The placement of the facilities in the bathroom makes sense. Is clean. There is a common dish washing area at the lobby, and water filter refill. The location is good, with plenty of convenience stores and restaurants. Staff is friendly. I left my flask there and they kept it for me.

There is a strong smell from the nearby kitchen.
