We researched quite a bit and think this beach is the best place for you if you want a relaxed and laid back beach vacation. And if you want to stay at this beach Sunset Bay Cottage is the best option. The Bungalows are clean and comfortable, the staff has been very helpful and friendly and the beach front location is just spectacular. You will enjoy going swimming in the ocean, relaxing in the shadow, watch colourful birds and of course see the beautiful sunsets. The little Warung nearby is really good and there is a weekly market in town with nice food option (make that daily whilst Ramadan). In February we did not have any problems with mosquitos, the few we saw only came out at dawn.

Somebody stole the hammocks, but they will replace them soon.

Large and very clean room and bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Beautiful beach and garden. We had a barbecue in the evening on the shore. Quiet and peaceful. Extremely kind and responsive hosts. They installed nets on the windows especially for us so that we could sleep with an open window. In two weeks we toured the entire island and I was convinced that this was the best place to stay. I strongly recommend.

The location was great, right on the beach. It was very quiet when we were there. There are several very nice eating places near by. The property is very clean and well cared for. It is very basic though, so don’t expect any of the things you’d find at a property with more stars. We really enjoyed our stay and we’d go back again.

The beach could have been cleaner but this isn’t the properties fault, their area was spotless.

The place is right at the beach and has a lovely outdoor area with hammocks and deck chairs. It is a little green and well maintained paradise. It is only a few meters to the next beach where you can swim and there are a few restaurants. The whole area is a lot more relaxed than Cenang beach which I enjoyed a lot.

convenient location with lot of restaurant around. The room was clean, spacious and very near to the beach. We saw some hornbills in the trees, a gorgeous sunset, a lot of stars in the sky at night. Our little boy played the whole day on the beach. We had a very pleasant time.

The beach was a bit dirty early in the morning but can't help it, right? Plastic bottles are naturally brought by the sea. Some cleaners came to pick up all the trash. It was hard to swim as there are a lot of rocks and the sea was not clear.

This property is run by a lovely family who also live onsite and are very helpful. The rooms are big, clean and well-equipped; there was plenty of space for two adults and our luggage. The communal facilities are great - there’s fast wifi, a hot + cold water dispenser, a kitchen, barbecue pit and garden benches (mind the falling coconuts!) The absolute highlight is the location… This property is right on the beach, with the sea literally just steps away from our door, and there are plenty of good eateries around the area. Highly recommended.

Definitely beach location. Clean room with fridge and kettle. Even as solo traveller I prefer double bed...but none available..but bedding and pillows clean on single. Good temp shower. Outside area to dry wet clothes. Well kept gardens.

This was an excellent property for our stay as family in a reasonable price. The beach is close by with soft sands and safe for children and family with shallow waters. It is not crowded with people and activities and the location is ideal for someone looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay.

Located away from the main activity centers of Langkawi. Getting there on a taxi is an additional expense which can get pricey. But still worth the visit for someone who likes calm and less crowded place for good relaxation and privacy with family.

Super nice people, got a warm welcome with restaurant recommendations. Direct access to the beach and outdoor shower facilities for after the beach. The bungalows had everything we needed, but the island is so amazing not much time spend inside the room anyway.

Amazing stay and great value for the money. The beach is beautiful , there’re sunbeds available, lots of shadow and very few people, so it feels like almost private paradise. Check in was easy and people there are extremely friendly and they’ve accommodated our extra requests. There’re 2 caffès right around the corner, and more good places to eat out around. Rooms are very clean and nice, territory has lots of flowers and looks cozy. Great value for the money

A very very minor comment: there’s no mosquito nets on the windows. There’s aircon inside so that doesn’t matter too much, and there’s not a lot of mosquitoes in general. But if you prefer to sleep with your windows open - just bring a mosquito repellent with you ;)
