breakfast variety could be better not hotel related but good to know tuktuk to sandbank is pretty pricey, and there are not many options to buy normal groceries... its mostly chips, biscuits and canned food in the shop

It's not our first time in the Maldives, but it was our first time on a local island, and we were fascinated. That's probably the best hotel on this wonderful island. 1 minute from the Bikini beach, clean and spacious rooms, comfortable beds, excellent good air-conditioning! There are two separate air conditioners on each room in the triple room-in the triple room is two separate rooms without a wall between them,but if desired, a curtain or sliding partition can be drawn between the two. In one of them a big bed is present and twin beds in the other one. We had a good view with coconut palms. It was quiet and calm during our stay. And let's not forget the staff - everyone was smiling and helping,from the reception to the cleaning guy! And about the staff in the restaurant, they are simply the best, especially Kuku, who was so fast, smiling and helping that we felt like at home. Food in the restaurant was perfect, tasty, and very well done by the cheff and his team. The breakfast was enougj to give you a good start of a wonderful day exploring the island or the cristal clear water of the sea.The girl at the reception explained us everything we needed to know about the hotel, the island and Maldives and arranged us a tuk tuk to the famous sand bank and it costed only 20$ for us 5 go and back in total!!!! . There is a nice place in front of the hotel between it and the beach where you can sit and enjoy the perfect weather under the lush equatorual vegetation. The island itself is a real paradise with amazing vegetation, smiling, respectful and friendly population and amazing atmosphere! We would definitely go back. Thank you for everything!

Staff was always very supportive and friendly. Room was very nice and clean with a view to the garden or rather jungle :-). Transportation to the speedboat worked out perfectly. I loved the location, I stayed in a guesthouse the days before, which was also nice, but I stayed on the ground floor in the middle of the island, so the guesthouse was a little dark. The hotel is right at the end of the village, directly at the beach and you can walk from there to the end of the island=the sandbank in beautiful nature along the sea. I especially loved that Dhigurah is not that full of tourists and tourist facilities yet!!

The breakfast: but that is not a really a thing just in this hotel. I eat yogurt, muesli and porridge at home and I'm pescatarian, but like in many spots in the world outside the western hemisphere, you only get "continental"=toast, cakes, sausages,... or here maledivian (coconut with canned tuna - which is nice every 2nd day, but not daily). One big minus: I came back from the beach one day and find 5 pairs of flipflops in front of my room. 5 people on my balcony, the balcony door wide open (with heat and mosquitos and other insects coming in). Turned out they repaired the air condition of a room upstairs. Sorry, but this is a total NOGO. You cannot enter my room without informing me before. This is an invasion of my privacy. You cannot leave the balcony door open in such a heat.

Location on the island is the best in comparison with other hotels on it

The only bad and even terrible thing that happened was that I wasn’t informed that departure transfer isn’t guaranteed. So because of a brief morning rain my transfer was cancelled 15mins before it, so I was charged extra for domestic flight that took place much later and eventually I missed my flight and had to buy all flight tickets again without being reimbursed and had to wait additional 10-12 hours at the Male airport.

10/10 – This hotel was the best one on our 18-day trip! One of the main reasons was the staff. In particular, the waiter serving breakfast and dinner was outstanding—always friendly, chatty, and genuinely interested in guests. The team renting out jet skis and other equipment next to the hotel was also incredibly welcoming, striking up conversations daily and even helping us with things beyond their job. We chose this hotel for the snorkeling and the quality of the rooms, and both exceeded our expectations. The snorkeling right off the beach was fantastic. Just 300 meters in front of the hotel, there’s a beautiful coral patch where I spotted sharks, turtles, and even an octopus. We traveled with our 7-month-old baby, and the staff went out of their way to assist us, even helping with food. They were always cheerful and kind toward our little one. I highly recommend this hotel and would love to return!

Excellent hotel location: just 50 meters away from Bikini Beach. It is situated in a quiet part of the village, so it's peaceful at night with almost no passersby. Breakfast: served as a buffet; not the most diverse, but it changes slightly each day and is filling. Transfer: you and your luggage will be picked up from the port and taken to the hotel. Daily cleaning. Rooms are equipped with a mini bar-fridge and the air conditioning works perfectly. Activities: excursions are available through the Go Divers dive center, which offers some of the lowest prices on the island.

What we didn't like: We got the least convenient room, 001, located on the ground floor right next to the reception, before the elevator and stairs. This meant that all hotel and restaurant guests passed by our room. It was constantly noisy and uncomfortable, as everything could be heard, including noise from the reception area. The room had a small terrace, but we didn’t even open the windows because the entrance to the hotel was just two meters away. People were always talking near the entrance, and there was constant noise from the foot-washing area. Overall, I slept well, but only because I had to use earplugs.

This is the only review about Dhiguveli you should and need to read! Everything was better than we ever imagined! The whole vacation was a dream - thanks to the hotel staff! A hotel representative welcomed us as soon we arrived at the airport in Male and he escorted us to the speedboat (the hotel booked the transfer for us). At the port on the Island, a driver waited for us and drove us to the hotel. As soon as we arrived, we received a refreshing drink, all the necessary information and then we were escorted to the beautiful room. It had everything we needed and more! We ate at almost every restaurant on the island but Malaveli (the restaurant in the hotel) was the best. The food, prices and the staff were TOP! Staff always asked us how was our day, new experiences, about our home … We felt really welcomed. We also did a few tours, but unfortunately, we didn´t see the whale sharks (hope next time :) ). About the island: It is a real gem! Local Maldivian island, nature from a postcard … It has also a coral reef near the bikini beach where we saw sharks, a turtle, and many different fish around while snorkeling. There are not a lot of tourists so it really feels like you have the whole beach (2 km of pure white sand, palm trees, and turquoise waters) for yourself. If we could recommend it more, 100/10 would be the fair rating!

wonderful hotel with perfect location in the middle of the island. buffet breakfast was really good, variety of pastries, fruits, fresh juice. the restaurant is on the top floor, and it's amazing to have breakfast/lunch/dinner there with the view. staff was very assisting and helpful. room was super nice, comfortable; towels provided for beach as well, which is really nice so you don't have to carry extra things in your luggage. hotel accepts card payment and no extra fee or commission, which is good.

we wanted to extend our stay, but unfortunately the hotel was fully booked; so make sure to book in advance your whole stay. hotel staff asked several times when we checkout noting that they need to prepare the rooms for the next guests. we said we'll checkout at 12. before checkout time cleaning staff knocked the door, and left their cleaning stuff next to our door. I totally understand that they need to prepare the room for other guests, but it was unpleasant, it felt as if you are asked to leave asap. :( we booked speedboat via Dhiguveli from Male to Dhigurah, and paid $60 per person. On the way back from Dhigurah to Male we paid $50 (some tourists paid even less in local currency directly to speedboat staff), so I'm not sure what is the standard price for speedboat.

What do I like about this accommodation? -Basically everything. 1. They organaized the arrival/departure speedboats for us, picked us up from the harbour 2.The whole staff was amazing, gentle, helpful, spoke English well 3. The hotel’s location is just perfect: located very close to the bikini beach & close to corner shops, main road 4. Our room was clean, spacious, and got cleaned every day. The AC was working well. Got fresh water every day! (the hair conditioner in the shower has an amazing smell!) We even got beach towels too. 5. The Malaveli restaurant on the rooftop of the hotel. Amazing. The food, the waiters and waitresses, staff… Throughout our entire stay we ate there 9 out of 10 times, so we were more then amazed. 6. Went on a whale shark tour: it was organized by the hotel, went with Go Divers. The divers are very kind and professional. 7. Breakfast: I saw comments that it’s boring but that is just not true. We were there in May which is low season but the breakfast was varied every morning. It had cooked food, fresh fruit, lots of pastries so you can choose healthy options or a quick option too. The schef was there to make you omelette/ sunny side up/ scrumbled eggs, so you can get fresh egg made just for you in the moment.

Friendly & helpful staff from reception to restaurant to helpers, excursions well organised by Go Divers with comfortable boats, water sports centre very closeby, bicycles to rent, easy to walk around to eat at different places, several convenience shops around (but I suggest skip buying the ice-cream). Aside from the accommodation itself, we were there during Eid celebration so was able to catch the locals celebrating through dance and song performances as well as fireworks!

Nothing negative to say about Dhiguveli Maldives itself. Just for others to note: beach in front of hotel is clean & pretty but waves makes it not an ideal place to snorkel off the beach itself, meaning you must book excursions. Prices in general seemed rather high for a local island. We later heard that Dhigurah is able to rely tourism as primary source of income. Thus, food at eating places is pretty high as well as transport (example taking a return journey tuk-tuk through the forested part in order to walk to the long sandbank costs usd20!). So we were kind of caught off guard by prices given that we have stayed at Maamigili and Dharavandhoo local islands previously.
