The beach is pristine and very well kept. Enjoyed the morning walk with my wife . The coral reef was mesmerizing and not too far away. Getting to the reef drop zone was very well marked. Had an amazing snorkeling experience which I did twice a day and practically covered the whole area. The Vila snorkeling was my best lifetime experience. A heartfelt thanks to Viyaan and team who gave there 100% who went above and beyond to make our trip absolutely worthwhile. Witnessing 3 whale sharks and 3 manta rays was beyond my wildest expectations. We indulged in a feast at The Funama and ate to our hearts' content. Although we couldn't manage to try everything, we had the opportunity to sample a wide variety, making it a truly delightful dining experience.

waited at Male airport for 4 hours for the sea plane transfer to the resort . Missed lunch and ruined much of the first day . Price for soft drinks, beer and wine has increased considerably over previous years .

This was the second time we visited Vilamendhoo. This island is the paradise but it’s affordable when it comes to the Maldives high prices. The rooms are fantastic and the service is flawless. The house reef is definitely worth it and you can see a lot. Ocean discovery full day trip is recommended.

It was our second time so we already knew what to expect. But still they were able to pleasantly suprise us. Everything was superb, staff is super fast and attentive, organisation is on the highest level. Food was very good, accomodation perfect. Island is well maintained. And ofc. the reef. We have visited many resorts but still this one is our favorite because it has fantastic rich coral reef perfect for long snorkeling. Infinity pool is also one of the stars of the resort. All in all the whole resort and people working there makes you feel relaxed and just enjoy.

This is not some negative, more like a suggestion. Staff was superb and many times we actually wanted to reward them extra for that but it is very hard to leave the tip because its not like we have paper bills in pockets, specially on such a nice and relaxed vacation on tropical resort wearing only swim shorts and t shirt. Maybe adding another column on the bills that guests are signing after they order something, where they can also add some amount for the tip for the staff.

Since I’m not a very confident swimmer, I greatly appreciated the house reef which was just a few meters from the seashore. I was provided with a free life vest which made snorkeling much easier. It was also fascinating to see so many baby sharks just swimming by your feet at the seashore… the sand is powdery white and very fine (but not the sand in the sea, which is already pebbly)… food is great … the room is spacious and clean; the bed and pillows are very comfortable… I love the open air bathroom

Vilamendhoo offers a variety of different excursions which are in my eyes a highlight of this island. Staff is open to fulfill your wishes regarding everything.

The richness of housereef was a adisappointment for me since I have seen some better housereefs in relation to preservation of corals. Nevertheless you can see turtles, sting rays, muranes and many colorful fishes.

We had a wonderful stay at Vilamendhoo resort. The island is absolutely beautiful – white sand truly Maldivian beaches, crystal-clear water, and stunning views. The house reef was a highlight, it’s just a short swim from the beach and full of colorful fish and coral. We were lucky to see baby sharks, sea turtles, and stingrays while snorkeling. The hotel itself was great too, the room was fresh, spacious, and clean. The hotel stuff was friendly and helpful. Food at the buffet restaurant had a good variety every day, and the desserts were especially delicious! Overall, it was a relaxing and magical experience. Highly recommend.

Great resort! Stayed in standalone beach villa. Very comfortable and clean. Furniture is in a good condition. Can see management maintain the resort well. Often, in other Maldivian resorts have seen furniture looking a bit worn, but at Vilamendhoo it was in a good condition across the resort. Excellent food! Buffets were great and menu changed daily. Really delicious. Fantastic staff across the resort. Friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed the Sunset Bar post daily diving activity. Lovely adults only area. Euro-divers run the dive operations at the resort. We had a great experience diving with them.

The majority of the staff at the resort were warm, welcoming, and consistently friendly. I was especially impressed by my room attendant and dining attendant — both were fantastic. My garden room was spacious and comfortable. Although it showed some signs of age and wear, it was spotlessly clean and serviced twice daily, which I really appreciated. The location was very good — quiet, close to the dining area, and with a lovely garden outlook. That said, next time I would definitely book a beachfront room, as the views of the water from those rooms were beautiful. I opted for the full-board package, which included all three meals at the buffet. The variety and quality of the food were excellent, and the rotating theme nights added an extra layer of flavor to an already impressive selection. Kudos to the chefs and kitchen staff. The beaches surrounding the island were absolutely beautiful and offered excellent snorkelling right off the shore. I also joined several morning snorkelling excursions and was incredibly lucky to see whale sharks, a large group of manta rays, turtles, and dolphins. The boat crew was highly professional and made each trip smooth and safe. One of my favorite spots on the island was the adults-only pool area. It had a beautiful outlook, was always peaceful, and featured a nearby bar for drinks and light food. I especially appreciated the absence of music from the bar — just the sounds of the ocean and palm trees made it a relaxing space. Overall, it was an enjoyable and rejuvenating stay.

While my room was centrally located on the island, I found getting around to other areas quite challenging due to a recent foot injury. The resort does not offer a golf cart or buggy service like others do which is something to keep in mind when booking for those with mobility issues or other physical concerns. While most of the staff were friendly, I did find some of the reception team could be more attentive and accommodating. I experienced a couple of long waits when trying to get information about tours, and the checkout process was impersonal. Also, on checkout, it is useful to check the final bill carefully. I found incorrect charges that increased my bill total, although they were eventually corrected.

This is my as second stay in Vilamendhoo. It is a pure heaven! The house reef is world class — sharks, turtles, rays, moral eel, wrasse, trevally, grouper, etc. everything! I also did a vila snorkeling tour, swam with whale sharks and manta rays again. I stayed at a jacuzzi overwater bungalow this time. It is heaven — surrounded by ocean, swim from my porch, shark and sting ray are uninvited guests passing by, relaxing in jacuzzi. The food is great. The service is impeccable. You can see the fish phasing by while being massaged. The value is unbeatable. This is the best resort in Maldives. No need to look further.

The adult only policy keeps family away from the overwater bungalows. Last time when I came here with my daughter, we could not enjoy the overwater bungalow. Maybe the resort can relax the rules to teenagers.
