The Hotel followed us up since arriving at Malé airport counter and picked us up at speedboat both ways. Hotel staff was exceptional, attending and very helpful showing what to do and where to go on the island. The room was very comfortable and the air conditioned kept a very good temperature inside the room all day. The meals had only 2 options but they were very well prepared, with very tasty local dishes varying each meal. They also organised 2 amazing excursions and we were guided by the Hotel manager personally all way. The Hotel manager was most kind, very attending and also most determined to show us the Whale Shark and to making us swimming among several Manta Rays. The experience of being at high sea guided with such care turned out to be most exceptional at all levels and made us feel very confident on our first snorkelling experience.

To be fair, sometimes the mosquitoes were a "little" annoying eh eh! But the Hotel even had repellent at our disposal, and there were no mosquitoes at all inside our rooms, so I guess this does not count at all! :)

The room size was suitable for us and it was clean. Staff was helpful. They arranged snorkling trips. Dressing room was nice to have. The island was amazing, very peacefull, and there were the most pretty beach I have ever seen.

They promised to bring a safebox to our room, but it never happened. We didn't miss it later, because we felt so safe in the island. The location was quite distant from the bikinibeach. They had tree types of brekfast, which changed everyday and you didn't have possibility to choice. The breakfast was a rather small.

To experience this beautiful island and Sands Grand was the best decision. It truly is a gem. Sands Grand is one of the best places to stay. It is near the harbour, very clean and quiet at night and you can enjoy a beautiful green view while eating breakfast. Shaheen is very responsible and kind, always there for you. If you have any concerns or problems, you will always get a fast response with a solution. He has a lot of experience from the luxury resorts and makes a great manager. I did the whale shark tour and the diving experience. Even though it is wild nature and you have a 50:50 chance to see a whale shark or any other animal, I am sure you will be lucky. The whole crew is very eager to bring you the best experience. My tour was already booked and Shaheen postponed it to the next day because of the weather to make sure I wouldn’t be disappointed. The next day we saw mantas, whale sharks and turtles beside many other fishes. Fairooz from the reception will always make you smile and take care of you, Brayen & Cheff from the kitchen are very kind and welcoming, wont ever let you stay hungry as the food is delicious (the breakfast is set and changes everyday, I guess there were 4 types of meals) and if its not enough for you, you can ask for more and Abdullah & team will make sure you come back to a clean, fresh & cool room. The room service is on request and my room was still cleaned every day except of one and even on that day I got fresh towels and water when I asked. Once there were flowers waiting for me. High class service. You get two small bottles of water every day, there is a mosquito cream and spray everywhere in the hotel and you can borrow fins & other equipment anytime. Oh and you can also borrow a bike near the bikini beach. Bikini beach is up to 10 min walk, tip of the island is 45min-1,5hour walk(depends), 25 min run.

i would definitely recommend this hotel as a great place to stay, brilliant communication from shaheen and yoosef before my trip with all information regarding excursions, and what to expect coming to a local island. they made everything easy to book in and supporting us each day with great excursions, i recommend all of the excursions!! we saw manta rays, sting rays, nurse sharks, we did lots of snorkling, (they have flippers and masks there if needed and life jackets so i didnt feel scared on any excursion! they also used their go pro to film some cool videos and shared them for free, very nice) you can tell the captains on the excursions look make a big effort to find the sea creatures and to go out on the sea and that we are safe there! thank you again!! the hotel booked the speed boat transfer and made it easy. they have an option to rent a motorcycle which we did to get around the island quickly, we enjoyed going to the sandbank and watching the sunset. they have a restaurant on site, food was limited due to availability on the island which is normal, every meal was good, and they suggested many places to go around the island, we like the tea pot restaurant, absolute thai and aveli. all staff are lovely, from the kind guy who cleaned our rooms everyday to the guys in the restaurant, and again special thank you to shaheen and yoosef. they also made a special moment on our first day, by decorating the bed and bringing out a birthday cake for my boyfriend on the first day which just started our holiday in a beautiful way. thank you guys!!

Grand Hotel is a newly renovated accommodation (partly under renovation) the rooms smells nicely and are clean. We had full board and all meals were served in the second floor restaurant overlooking the whole area and partly the sea. The food was excellent, we were surprised how good the Italian specialties were. The local dishes were also good and traditionally slightly spicy. Only water was served with the meal and the portions were not very large but we didn't mind, perfect for swimwear :-) Don't forget to take repellent even for breakfast (repellent gel was on every room for free, it was very helpful). Thanks to restaurant manager who takes a really good care of us during meals. Bicycles were not available and unfortunately it's quite a walk to the bikini beach, and it's over an hour walk to the romantic end of the island we chose it for. Whether you walk along the beach or through the town and jungle, it really is a pleasant walk. The area around the hotel and the beach is nicely maintained and clean. Shaheen is the young but very experienced manager of the hotel, he always helped us with everything and took us on great excursions and especially because of him we were able to snorkel with the whale shark and mantas. We stayed 5 days in Grand Sands Hotel and we enjoyed it very much. The staff was super attentive and helpful throughout the entire stay (they picked us up from the harbour, gave us some drinks on arrival while provided a briefing on both the island and the hotel). The room was spacious, clean, with plenty of storage space and a big & functional bathroom, with a big shower. We had full board and the food was very tasty and well-cooked. The waiter was very professional. The hotel manager was accessible and always willing to help and provide advice on things to do in the island, excursions, etc. We booked the whale-shark excursion and it was fantastic.

Internet was slow and didn't reach the rooms. In addition, the food portions were a bit small. However, you need to consider that this is not a resort and that you're in the middle of the ocean so you can't expect very high standards. We stayed in different guest houses in Maldives and this was the best one.

The accommodation was excellent, and as described. The room was a good size, very modern, and had a clean bathroom with an excellent shower. The breakfast was great with a good selection and great coffee/tea. They also had some really good options for dinner and a really great chef.The location was also decent as close to the ferry port. My favourite part of the hotel was the staff. The manager, Shaheen, and the team were fantastic! They were always helpful and cheerful and would be there to organise any trips (Whale Shark, Manta Ray's, etc) and would even come with you on the trip to make videos. I cannot recommend this hotel enough if you are staying on this island.

Our stay at the Sands Grand Hotel was amazing, from the first moment with the complimentary drink until the very last. The staff was exceptional, everyone was super friendly, helpful, and always made sure we had everything we needed. We felt like at home during our stay at the Sands Grand Hotel. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed, and the breakfast was delicious, offering everything you could need: eggs, fruits, local dishes, juice, and always water, which was regularly replenished in the room. Additionally, the room was cleaned every day, with fresh towels provided daily. The excursion we took through the Sands Grand was perfect, the underwater world is incredible here, and the hotel manager personally took care of us, making sure we saw as much as possible. The island itself is a paradise on earth, with long white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters. There are plenty of restaurants and shops as well. So, thank you once again to the entire Sands Grand Hotel team, it was an amazing experience. If we return to the Maldives, we will definitely choose this hotel again.

The manager and other staff is very friendly and helps the guests. The meals are very tasty. We took full board from them and we do not regret it. The rooms are clean, towels are changed every day. They put water in your room. The beach is gorgeous.

It takes some walking to get to the tourist beach.

A lovely hotel, very calm vibe with outdoor reception room covered in plants. All the staff seem genuinely happy here and all made the effort to chat to me. They made me feel at home straight away. I think this is a great price for a hotel on such a beautiful island. I extended my stay, and would highly recommend booking! Also recommended arriving by sea plane, incredible view of the island as you land in. (Sit on the left side of you can)
