Our stay at Dhawa Ihuru resort was fantastic in all aspects. After clearing the immigration formalities we were greeted by resort coordinator in front of the airport and half an hour speed boat ride later we were already drinking welcome cocktail on the island and listening to Elena about general information. We were two families on the speed boat and each was greeted individually making check-in pure pleasure with many woows. Villas are modern with room/garden service twice a day. The island is not big. Walking around takes around 10 min and swimming around the reef about an hour. There is a sister island 2 min boat ride away with a 7 times a day free boat ride back and forth. Both islands have a beautiful coral reef around them. There is no need for snorkeling trips. You can see big variety of marine life on the doorstep of your villa. Sharks (not dangerous), turtles, lobsters and more colorful fish that you can count. We were snorkeling at least twice a day. There is an in house marine lab. Marine biologist Henry told us many interesting things during his coral reef lecture and showed in person while snorkeling together. He even helped my daughter with her school project. There is a wide variety of activities. From massages in their spa centre to local music evenings and fishing trips. My son made life long memories while pulling big wahoos and a barracuda from the sea during big game fishing. Captain Matheen found the fish, made us feel comfortable and prepared tasty sunrise breakfast. Oh, and the food. Like dining in a Michelin star restaurant 3 times a day. Tropical fruit was amazing. Everyone from gardeners, waiters, cooks, bar-mans, receptionists to resort manager were honestly trying to make us happy. And they did.

The island itself very small Chalets lacks privacy in my opinion All inclusive contains alcoholic beverages and soft drinks so maybe give the option to change it to non alcoholic drinks for those who don’t consume alcohol No night cruise or fishing offered to us although it’s included in the booking ( we were not interested but it wasn’t offered )

Words cannot express how happy we are that we were in this hotel. I would like to express my gratitude to all the staff who work there: Mr. AMJAD who meet us at the airport and provided very high level of hospitality. A big big thanks for girls on reception (unfortunately I don’t remember the name but she is from Indonesia) for her hospitality and help. Especially thanks for all staff who work in the restaurant: Mr. Adam, Mr. HUSHAM, Mrs. SUJINA. Sorry if we didn’t mention someone cuz we don’t remember the name. A big thanks for the chefs who cooked for us amazing food. A la cart dinner night was super tasty. The location of the hotel is very convenient (25 minutes from Male by speedboat). The island is very cozy, clean, white sand everywhere, blue water. Very beautiful house reef. Thank you Ms. Chris at diving center (from China, sorry if the name is wrong) very friendly and helpful. Thank you very much to the girls at the spa for the super service and pleasant massage. Many thanks to the staff of housekeeping who cleaned the room twice a day. To the guys from the beach bar team: Mr. ROHIT, Mr. DAS, Mr. NISHANTH thank you so much, everyone is very caring, sociable and helpful. THANK YOU DHAWA IHURU it was unforgettable vacation with you!!!

Absolutely nothing

I almost don't know where to start! From the moment we arrived the attentive staff could not do enough. Everybody smiling and doing their best to ensure our stay was magical. And it was! The island is relatively small with no water bungalows but our beach bungalow was superbly located just a few feet from the crystal clear water and was cleaned regularly without us noticing. It was spotless and had everything we wanted. Food at the resort is first class and fresh ! Special mention to Pawan on the morning egg station who could present whatever way you wanted your eggs done with ease. The fruit station at breakfast was extensive and expertly dispatched by Sunil. Our evening cocktails were prepared and served with a smile from the lovely Hanan and Nishanth and meals served by Sujina our wonderful waitress. All the staff at Dhaka Ihuru are exceptional and made our experience one to remember. It is worth noting this is an intimate setting with only one restaurant and one bar with a sandy floor, however, the sister island is supported by a boat taxi every two hours if you wish to vary your surroundings. We totally loved our stay and can highly recommend the resort.

I've read a few reviews with negative comments but quite honestly for us this resort was perfect and I just couldn't fault it

The house reef is so beautiful for snorkeling.. literally ten steps away from the back door of your villa, five steps from your private beach with swing, enter the water and be amazed at the fish, turtles, reef sharks, and coral gardens. Every day the resort hosts an activity free of charge. Like kayak, sailing or a marine biology talk.

We loved everything. We thought we had to eat buffet three times a day, but there was a fine a la carte menu as well. Prices were steep but still ‘only’ maximum half of buffet.

Thot was my 5th time in Maldives and the second time on Dhawa Ihuru (when I was here the first time the name of the resort was Angsana Ihuru). It is a small island (45 rooms) with a beautiful house reef (you basically get out of your room and in 5-10 meters from the shore you’re surrounded by lots and lots of fish and you can see live corals, sharks, turtles and octopuses). The reefs looks better now than 2 years ago when I was here (their conservation work really paid off). The rooms are spacios and qnice and the bathrooms have outdoor showers. Every room has a very nice private outdoor area with a swing, a big round sunbed and the usual outside table with 2 chairs and 2 sunbeds. The food was good and varied with a lot of very tasty maldivian and asian dishes. A special mention to Siyaf, our host, who helped us with everything and gave us honest advice about extras. Another special mention to Shareef, our waiter, who remembered us from the last time we were there and cared for us in the same nice and unintrusive way. But all the people working here are so nice and helpful! Now I’m planning to return here next year! 😎

They made the jet skies available (probably starting thos year) and I think this is in total contradiction with the spirit of this resort (you don’t come to this type of resort expecting to find swiming pools, motorized water sports and disco music).

As quite close to Male - there were quite a few ferries and large boats that went past - and views of other islands - but not necessarily a bad thing as we didn’t mind at all.

everything From the moment we landed in the airport, until taking us back to the terminal. The Hospitality of the team at the property is unmatched! the calm vibes of the island and the taste of the food although its not a huge variety because its a small island yet the food taste in general is amazing. the Spa service for couples was so great that we booked twice in two days!. they even organized a special dinner arrangement for us on our anniversary without telling us! that was an awesome experience. adding to that a free room upgrade and without even highlighting that to us as an extra service! it felt like we are super cared for all the time. believe me you will never see the type of personalized hospitality in this island else where and thats why we will surely go back.

honestly nothing in the hotel. but we tried to book a restaurant in the other bigger island to celebrate our anniversary. however it felt like a waste! paid for a fine dine experience but the food was horrible! the worst wagu steak ive tried and wished we had eaten in our island instead it would have been much tastier for sure. keep that in mind.

The resort (around 40 rooms) is simply beautiful and a little piece of paradise. The gardeners and housekeepers definitely stand out for keeping such a meticulously clean and pleasant environment and the level of professionalism can be seen in the details all around the island and inside your bedroom. All staff is kind and care about the guests from arrival/pick up until the very last moment at departure. You can see that they all try their best to make you have the best possible experience. We are travelling with two small kids and everyone was extremely kind also with them. The coral reef is the nicest we have seen in the last years and right in front of your room you’ll be able to see sharks, rays, colorful fishes and sea turtles. Even my non swimmer 2 years old daughter could see all this without going underwater! The island is located less than half an hour from Male which makes it very comfortable to reach. We loved our stay and would definitely come back and recommend it

The food was not so much of our liking and we did not find it up to standard. Furthermore, there is usually the possibility to visit the neighbor island (5 minutes far) of Banyan Tree but for the whole length of our stay it was completely reserved for a private occasion.

Small island ,very peaceful & relaxed atmosphere.villas were pretty good size.spa was fantastic.restaurant was very good,brilliant service by the staff at the restaurant

Could do with new bar setting & add extra items on the menu on the bar.the drink selection could be improved a lot.
