The Simon Hotel had good food, great Ned in the suite that was like an apartment, almost 800 Sq ft. The location is awesome for Fort De France. It rained a little almost every day which was great because it is so hot and humid. We hired a driver for a few hours a couple days which worked out well. He spoke French and English and had a newer van type of auto with air conditioning ( a must). We don't speak French, so Roger, our driver, was prompt and just nice.

The Fort De France area is pretty decrepit with no repair to anything. They close down from 2:00 - 7:00 every day which was not user friendly but our hotel offered eats that were good during those times. If you shop at the stores for clothing, try it on because they don't take returns only exchanges. St Pierre was a good part of the island and Mt Pele was great and cooler at the top about 68 degrees. A nice break from the extreme heat and humidity.

very clean great location

the bar. this was cheating at it’s best. ordered a pinacolada, got a drink that had barley any alcohol. next day I ordered a Manhattan, what I got was a kid’s drink. most probably the bartender is taking the alcohol home. it is a shame for such a hotel. once cheated might be random. twice I see a strategy. would book the same hotel again but never order anything other than a beer. hope that helps some travelers

Wonderful hotel with very clean rooms and in a great location. Exceptionally friendly reception staff and if you are staying in FDF I can't imagine better place for 1-2 nights.

I'd say that bar personnel when they have seen our vouchers for free drinks made us wait much longer than other customers around, paying for theirs and we've felt unwelcomed in their premises. Prices in a restaurant were also well too high for what was offered but I understand it is separate from the hotel business.

fantastic location with great view over the cruise terminal, and the seaside promenade. very centrally located at walking distance to all the city's central locations. Rich breakfast and very helpful reception staff.

the reception is at the second floor, entrance to the hotel is locked and can be opened only by ringing the reception at all times. not convenient for a hotel of this status. makes it also somewhat cumbersome to call for a taxi.

Best location in Fort de France! The hotel is in the centre of the city, on a walking distance to all the main attractions and restaurants. There is a small beach nearby and boats to other beaches. Breakfast is good with nice food, music and seaview. All the people, working on the reception, are very polite and helpful.

The only thing I would like to have is a balcony to enjoy the view.

We loved the breakfast every day! Jimmy at the front desk was so nice.! All of the people working there were so friendly.

It was difficult to find how to get into the hotel when we arrived. It was also odd to have to ring a doorbell to get into the hotel every time. No one said anything through the intercom and we were just buzzed in. I am sure it was for safety, but it was strange. There were many stairs to get to one door and the other door was rather hidden and away from the water side where most people come from. It surprised us that there were not many restaurants open past 6:00pm in the area. When the cruise ships would leave everything shut down.

Lovely staff.listen to your complain and responded right away.hotel was well kept. Breakfast was wonderful

Internet in the rooms poor.we had to get three pass words to help a little. We could only get service close to the door while in the room. The hotel does not cater to vegetarians like my husband Ensure beans are placed on the menu.Dinner is taking to long once you order.

breakfast was perfect, location close to city center, friendly people and helpfull. Breakfast location outside was beautyful because jou can see the boat and see en ferry.

It was holyday 8 may en the shops were closed. So we did not shop only with the water taxi to he beach. The beaches are nice and clean, the entrance was verry small.

I liked having a restaurant on site. The breakfast was good. The shower was large as well as the bed.

We speak English and I could not find a English option on the tv. That would have been a nice to be able to watch tv.

Beautifully presented, airy rooms and a fantastic balcony for breakfast. It has the perfect location by the cruise pier (but needs a taxi to get to the cruise terminal). Staff were friendly and helpful, including arranging taxis and storing luggage.

Pre-stay enquiries were awful and nearly led to me cancelling the trip. Messages were not responded to, and when a response and offer was given, it was never followed up. This needs to be addressed.
