Although the entrance is quite underwhelming, the reception area and restaurant are gorgeous. Our room was very spacious and although as clean as it could be, has seen better days. It reminded me of my abuelita’s home. The decor and color scheme is from the 80s, the lighting is dim and the electrical outlets were rare - only one outlet at bedside. (However, there was an outlet inside the closet!). Still, I highly recommend Hotel Leon for its charm and fabulous location. For the price, it was an incredible value. The shower was hot, the AC was cold, and the staff was top notch! The restaurant serves a delicious breakfast and the service is impeccable. .

Not enough outlets and weak WiFi

A lovely hotel right in the center of Leon, on the corner of main square. Old hotel with a 1950s awesome elevator. Old style but extremely well kept. Clean and comfortable, A/C and wifi working great. Staff is really friendly and welcoming and the breakfast home made hot breads and marmelade are memorable (as read in a review...marmelade is so good that I had to take a jar home). A lot of attention to small details, such as quality scented toilet paper and a lot of other small details that made this short stay memorable. I will definitely be back and I can't reccomend it enough!

Bathroom fan was too noisy...but irrelevant considering the quality of accomodation and service

The lady at the reception when we checked in was very nice and personable. She arranged a taxi service for us for our morning trip to the airport. Location was excellent.

As we were walking back to the hotel, we noticed that the front doors/gate was being locked. When we walked up, we did not have a way to contact the employees to open it up for us due to the entry hallway being long. We kept waving to see if someone inside could see us. Finally an employee came to open the door. I love that there is this extra sense of security, however it would have been nice to know that the gates are closed at a certain time. Also, a buzzer or intercom would be good to be able to contact someone in the loby

We stayed in downtown Leon. We were in the main center. Restaurants open up at 10 a.m. There are some that open at 8 a.m. They close at 9:30. There is a main street where they have the night scene. Walking distance. There are a lot of churches. The main Cathedral is amazing. A lot of history. The people are nice. The staff at the hotel is amazing. Great service.

A lot of people walking around in the weekend. But, that is very typical. I wish our window view would of been better. We looked at the back of a building.

Could not ask for a better location..Right off the main plaza and in the middle of all the shopping and eating activities and within minutes of the major churches and historical sites. Although it does get quiet after everyone goes home it's still an easy walk to many night clubs and bars. The hotel is older but maintained and has a classic charm to it because if it's gracious and helpful staff.

Only thing would be the lack of ice machines but you go to the first floor restaurant and they will gladly provide you with a large pitcher of fresh ice

I loved the art deco 1950s of the whole hotel. In fact the hotel was built in 1948 and still has the original elevator and rooms. I loved the restaurant. Very good food at a very reasonable price. Excellent service! Excellent location ... it is in fact at the corner with the main plaza and in the middle of the pedestrian area. We didn't even need the car to see the whole center of Leon.. It is less than 10 minutes walking distant from the Cathedral and the arc of Leon. I Think Leon is also a very nice city to visit and to experience.

Some rooms need TLC work and the bathrooms could be restored always keeping the same style. The hotel is old but with a nice charming personality. I liked the atmosphere but I think it could benefit from a restoration.

Ample room, old hotel with little modern amenities, but lots of character. Conveniently located in the Downtown area. Amazing breakfast, the vintage elevator is simply gorgeous. Staff was incredibly friendly.

The single elevator is beautiful, yes, but it has an operator and sometimes it takes a long time to get service on busy days. A loose cable hanging from the roof was being moved by the wind and created a horrible banging noise against the hotel's facade, and we had to call the front desk late at night since we couldn't fall asleep. Some areas are in dire need of renovation.

Wi-fi strong when I arrived. No Wi-fi en la manana - 5g on Phone. Wi-fi returned en la manana just as I was leaving. Electrical system just strong enough to charge phone/watch... Almost. Enough to get me through the dia. The Ambience of the room, Hotel, Staff, comida, location and security ... more than outweighed less than full charge on phone.

The position is great, just by the main square. The staff kindness is the best thing about the place. They really help you out a lot. I personally appreciated the large, firm materass.

The room decore is overall quite old and run down. Our room had the bathroom door that was quite broken at the bottom, and even got stuck once. The hall and commongnparts are beautiful, but definetly the rooms could do with being modernized.

I always love to stay here and the reason is because I can go Avery where from here and most of what I need no need to drive just walk plus the people in this hotel they are very helpful!
