The furnishings and decor are absolutely beautiful and traditional but more importantly, comfy. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, right down to the lighted makeup mirror and variety of wines for purchase so we didn’t have to venture out . Breakfast was perfect! The quiche and banana bread were fresh and tasty! And the views from the rooftop patio were amazing! You can see the whole valley, which was perfect for morning coffee and evening happy hour! Rocky and Gwen were so accommodating with our morning arrival time and also helpful with suggestions for venturing out and eating- all of which were spot on! We would definitely return to Las Terazzas!

Nothing! Some street noise because we were in the suite closest to the street. But other suites would not be so affected.

Las Terrazas in San Miguel de Allende exceeded all expectations. The enchanting ambiance of this boutique gem, paired with impeccable service, made our stay unforgettable. Las Terrazas is a slice of heaven for any traveller seeking a perfect blend of luxury and authenticity The charm of San Miguel was right at our doorstep and we particularly loved the breathtaking views of the town from the rooftop terrace We stayed in Casa Grillo Dos which is an elegantly decorated Casita with separate Living Room, Bedroom, Bathroom and dining area. Breakfasts comprising Fruit juice, yogurt, granola, breads and muffins and a daily hot dish were sumptuous. Rocky and Gwen were wonderful hosts, always available for suggestions for dinner arrangements and other activities. All in all an absolute 5 Star experience

The property is magical! Beautiful landscaping, lush with colorful plants and greenery. The rooms, more like studio apartments, are tastefully decorated with local pottery, fabrics and art, and stocked with everything you need to feel at home during your stay. Wonderful, comfortable bed. Gwen’s delicious and delightful breakfast is completely homemade and fabulous! Loved the ambiance of the patio and fountain. And great view of SMA from the uppermost terrace, open to all. The proprietors, Rocky and Gwen, will indeed make you feel like new best friends upon your arrival! Wonderful wonderful B&B. Absolutely nothing to dislike.

Beautiful casita with all the amenities we needed. Casa Mariposa is spacious with a wonderful kitchen, living room, and outdoor patio. The decor is top notch. Bed was very comfortable. We were able to order our own breakfasts - loved the yogurt, granola, and fresh fruit platters. Rocky and Gwen went above and beyond to inform of us great places to eat. We would not have found the ones that they recommended on our own. They also arranged for transportation from the airport and recommended the historical tour and hot springs which were enjoyable! We highly recommend Las Terrazas and hope to return!

My husband and I stayed in Casita Colibri. We loved the design and decor and the balcony with the fountain. Beautiful ambience. The roof deck has an amazing view, and it's set up nicely with comfortable places to sit and enjoy the view. Rocky and Gwen are friendly and very helpful with travel arrangements and recommendations for restaurants and things to do. They go out of their way to make your experience positive. It's a beautiful little hotel and a lovely place to stay. We highly recommend.

Our only complaint would be with the bed. For us, it was lumpy and hard, and we didn't sleep well. For those who prefer a firm mattress, maybe not an issue.

Rocky and Gwen are the most attentive small hotel owners I've ever met. Every detail reveals their love for the business they run. We've stayed in historic cottages in other countries, but none were as clean and tidy as the one maintained by Rocky and Gwen; I know this must not have been easy. The room we stayed in was incredibly spacious and bright. The rooftop terrace offers a breathtaking view of the city. Gwen's meticulously prepared breakfasts motivated us to wake up early. Rocky is very organized in arranging things, and I enjoy working with such people, which gives me a great sense of security and trust. I feel we even received some inspiration from Rocky and Gwen, thinking that when we're older, we too should pursue a passion that brings vitality to our lives. Nothing. It's just that our bedroom has a skylight above it, and I tend to wake up easily due to the light in the morning, but this is a matter of personal preference. I know many people love skylights!

The reviews for Las Terrazas turned out to be very accurate if not even underrated. Rocky was an awesome host and helped us find the place even after we got lost getting there. He also got a doctor for my wife to come to the place within two hours for diarrhea that she picked up. That was wonderful. The suite itself is awesome, nicely furnished with a large balcony and good views.

Not really a big problem, but be prepared to do some stair climbing. But you will have hill climbing no matter where you go in San Miguel.

I really appreciated the aesthetic and practical qualities of Las Terazzas. It is a gorgeous property with striking views. But it is also run with efficiency. Our host could not have been more helpful.

From my point of view, nothing could have better. I can only say that any prospective visitors with mobility issues should look into that further. It is up a steep hill near the center of town, and there are a lot of steps within the property.

Great location. Lovely, roomy casita with a refrigerator, toaster oven and microwave. Each day the housekeeper dropped off breakfast in the refrigerator for the next morning (we had an order sheet each day).

Didn’t bother me but it is at the top of a very steep hill. Might be difficult for some. San Miguel is very hilly!

Las Terrazas is a beautifully restored walled property in a quiet urban setting at the uphill edge of San Miguel’s historic Centro. Our hosts and owners, Rocky and Gwen were extremely gracious, accommodating, and hospitable, welcoming us not as guests but as longtime friends and inviting us into their home. Their passion for this place is evident everywhere, from the well-manicured garden and outdoor and rooftop sitting areas to the comfortable furnishings and décor. Our casita was comfortable, bright, clean, and nicely furnished in the local style with an adjacent outdoor patio. Our casita included a small hotel-style kitchen with a coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator. Breakfast is ordered the day before selecting from a small menu offering a wide variety of food, fruit, and juices. Wonderfully prepared food selections are placed in the refrigerator for a delightful self-serve breakfast in the casita. Visiting with Rocky each morning led to fantastic recommendations for places to visit, sights to see, area walks, and restaurants (including reservations), giving us a greater knowledge, from the locals' point of view, of this fantastic town. Due to weather, our stateside airline connection was missed delaying our arrival by a day; I called Rocky as soon as I could and told him of our delay - Rocky simply pushed our reservation forward, extremely accommodating. Not wanting to leave we extended our stay at this first-class accommodation.
