Artistic, peaceful, relaxing, beautifully manicured large inner courtyard with heated pool, covered area with tables to work and picnic. Unique rooms with comfortable bed. Very clean Friendly staff - Betty at breakfast was wonderful Very good breakfast with several selections - we only ate breakfast and early dinners every day Almost everything is within walking distance -

I have arthritis in my knee. The walk to central square is not far but it is a 100’ difference in elevation which did bother my knee some - however - Ubers are plentiful and only ~$2USD ! So…. There was really nothing I didn’t like

This is a charming hotel in the heart of San Miguel de Allende, al the sites are within walking distance. If you are looking for a hotel with a boutique feel then it is perfect. The double room was comfortable for a family of 4. There was no AC but we stayed in July and the weather meant we were fine with just a fan. The kids loved the little pool, though there are mosquitos in the garden so you can’t sit out as long as you’d like to. The staff were helpful and provided umbrellas to us on rainy days. There are so many great bars and restaurants a few minutes walk away.

We paid for the breakfast but only used this the first day. The service was incredibly slow and a very small limited choice. I think it took almost an hour just to get a black coffee to the table, and we were the only ones in the restaurant room. There are so many great cafes for breakfast nearby that we just went out and enjoyed breakfast in day for the other 5 days of our stay.

The grounds were wonderful and quiet with the pool, lounge chairs, lawn and rooftop deck to view the city. Great to have a refrigerator and extra blanket as room was cold. Nice to have outlets by a mirror so if one of us was in bathroom, there was a place to plug in hair appliance. It was very spacious with a couch besides the two beds. Free bottled water was a bonus. Breakfast was fine. Nothing fancy but the waitress was very nice. I think her name is Beatrice. Coffee not that great though. the hotel is situated on a hill so a bit of a climb but not bad. Close to restaurants and the central plaza.

The room was very cold and even with the lights on somewhat dark. There was a plug in heater but it would take forever to heat up the large room. Could have done with another lamp in the corner by the couch. There was a lack of hot water and the water pressure was horrible in the shower. The worst I've had in my travels. The hot water did improve after a day or so but pathetic shower. A luggage rack would have been nice instead of having to put suitcases on the floor and a hook or two in the bathroom would be good. The door chain was broken. None of these things would make me not stay here again.

Location was amazing and perfect for accessing all that makes San Miguel de Allende the wonderful city it is. The sunsets from the roof are unbelievable. The heated pool is very nice!

Wish roof was open later but understand it’s due to the fact that rooms are under and would be potentially and issue with sound. Also pool during February only had partial sun so maybe having places to lay on grass area would help with allowing everyone space for sun and not having to compromise for the shade if you’re not early enough to the pool lounging area.

One could not dream of a better place to stay in San Miguel de Allende. 1- the garden is beyond BEAUTIFUL. If you pay attention, every detail makes it so unique. Needless to say that the heated pool makes a great difference. 2- the décoration of the premises - so authentic. And our room was extremely comfortable. 3- the kindness of the staff… and very thoughtful. 4- the breakfast was AMAZING and served to your table (no buffet) which was great and made it available until noon. This hôtel is a secret treasure!

Nada. Everything was great!

The breakfast was limited, but very good. They had fruit, bread and coffee, milk or juice. Also, your choice of either eggs w/black beans, chilaquiles w/black beans or pancakes. The internet was kinda spotty at times, but overall, it was fast. The pool was warm and very refreshing. The hotel is located in the central part of the city. Only about an 8-minute walk to many restaurants and bars, Parroquia de San Miguel Arcangel and the Mercado Ignacio Ramirez. The best part of the stay was the staff. Very friendly and informative of places to go in town. The receptionist at the front desk (I can't remember her name) recommended a taxi driver to take our group to Grutas de Tolantongo. It was the highlight of our trip. The driver Elias picked us up at 4:30 a.m., drove us the 4 hours to Tolantongo, spent the day with us and then drove us back to the hotel for $8,000 pesos. We were not rushed at all and stayed as long as we wanted. We didn't get back to the hotel until 8:30 p.m. Tired, but grateful that we were able to have this experience.

Although the hotel was centrally located, walking was somewhat tiresome. The streets are made of stones and it was kinda hard on our feet. Also, there was a lot of walking uphill and downhill so at times my group was a little out of breath, but we are in our 50s and 60s. Of course, this was not the hotel's fault, but simply a comment on the area. I wish that the hotel had an A/C unit in my room. As we were checking out yesterday, I noticed that there were a couple of contractors installing new A/C units in 2 of the rooms upstairs. I'm not sure if the hotel is installing A/C units in all of the rooms, but at least a few of the rooms will have A/C.

Lovely hotel with rooms set around beautiful garden and pool Delighted with our very spacious room which had a large bathroom. Beautiful views to the Parroquia San Miguel and across the city. Breakfast cooked to order with selection of hot food items - eggs of choice, pancakes, waffles, etc.

Breakfast service was a little slow with only one member of staff front of house. Would have been good to have buffet style service for cereals, juices and breads while waiting for hot items.

This hotel is lovely and basic, the best part is definitely the heated pool. The rooms are nice and comfortable and quiet since all the rooms are facing the inside courtyard. The breakfast is delicious. Location is also perfect.

It's not the most breathtaking haciendas like some of the Mexican hotels tend to be. This one felt a little bit run down, but not terribly so. It's reflected in the price, so you get what you pay for. I would still come back and stay here. The crowd was all foreign except for me.

Beautiful location and architecture. It's nice to still be in walking distance to the central area of the town but far enough away to not feel too crowded. The rooftop has a great view of the city and the church - there was a festival when we stayed here so we got to watch the fireworks from there! Great, friendly staff. Rooms were cleaned every day. Very comfortably fit 3 people in a 2 bed room, but definitely could've had a fourth and still be good! Pool was warm and relaxing. Loved the courtyard seating and the ambience at night.

Our stay was so great, the only thing I can really be nitpick is that the lighting in the room was a bit dim. There's good natural light during the day, so it wasn't really that big of a deal.

The breakfast was included in the room cost and it was delicious every time we had it. Nice dining room upstairs with a friendly server and your choice from a different daily limited menu of a complete breakfast, beverages and fresh made bread each day. Try what appeared to be homemade orange marmalade, so good! All of the staff was friendly and helpful, grounds in the courtyard were kept immaculate and so lovely. We highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again for sure. Comfortable bed, darkening curtains and plush towels just to mention a couple features I appreciated.

I truly can not think of anything we didn't like or thought needed to be improved.
