Oscar was wonderful, the rooms and space were very clean, little amenities were present (drinking water, shampoo, lotion, etc.), it was close enough to walk wherever you wanted to go without being smack dab in the middle of things, my room was away from the street, so very quiet at night, free parking was available, the rooftop view was spectacular and had tables/chairs if you wanted to sit for a while, and it was just an overall nice stay.

Not that I "didn't like" it, but if you were walking back up the hill to the stay, the last block or two could be a bit challenging. Having said that, taxi's and buses were available in abundance and they can always be utilized.

We really enjoyed staying here. The staff were very friendly and helpful and couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome. The room was fantastic - spacious, tastefully decorated, fresh flowers, spotlessly clean. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious and there was plenty of hot water in the roomy shower. Lovely complementary toiletries. Just lots of care and attention to detail.

As others have said it is up a hill. It’s also on a fairly busy road so there is some traffic noise (and cockerels!) but not enough to be a problem.

It’s so quaint and beautiful. It has a rooftop with an amazing view of the entire city. The best part, though, is the manager, Oscar. I’ve never stayed in any hotel, not even a Grand Tourism one that had a manager so nice and available to help!

The stairs might make some rooms impossible to access for the handicapped. But this was not an issue in my case. In fact, Oscar made a point of giving the easiest room to access to my 93-year old father, who managed just fine.

Had a most wonderful stay here. They were so accommodating with our early arrival! Great recommendations for sightseeing and local eats. What a shame we stayed only one night. The rooms were beautiful and so comfortable. Can't recommend this place highly enough for a stay in San Miguel de Allende.

WiFi wasn't great. Also didn't appreciate the wake-up call from the rooster down the road 😂 But really, this place was wonderful!

One of the best hotels we stayed in Mexico! Definitely suggested. The room was very specious, clean, new(or renovated well), quite comfortable. Location was also good, max 10 minutes by walking to center area. It’s next to a Mirador:) Hotel manager(Oscar) provided much help and suggestion for us. In this city, Uber somehow doesn’t exist and difficult to trust any taxi. He provided a contact for taxi and that helped us a lot. If you’re coming from bus station, I’d suggest to contact him for taxi.

Contemporary art in combination with a beautiful historical style with attention to detail that lives up to the name “Don Quijote”. You feel transported back in time. And I slept like a stone. Located in the east of San Miguel de Allende, yet very conveniently situated to the points of interest. A truly lovely place, with a great host and nice staff. You cannot go wrong. Come.

Bed was extremely comfortable and the room was spacious and spotless. View from the rooftop deck was stellar. But the best part was probably Oscar, the owner. He was incredibly friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English, a real plus from English speaking travellers like myself Property is up the hill from the city centre but taxis to and from are inexpensive and hills are just part of San Miguel

The staff allowed me to keep my insulin and cold packs in their private cooler.

One must be in good physical shape, the roads are steep. But you can easily walk to restaurants and attractions. I wish I had a refrigerator in the room for leftovers I could have brought back to the room.

Beautiful building, sparkling clean, comfy bed, spacious room, friendly manager. Nice view from the terrace. Excellet value for money. Only a few minutes walk to the town centre.

Just be aware you have to walk up a steep hill to get there! Or take a taxi. Helps to burn off the food you'll eat. There is also some road traffic noise so I used a white noise app to sleep.

Has a terrace where you can enjoy the view and relax, steep spiral to get there tho lol. stairs parking is a couple blocks away but included on the rate. Every person we met at the little front desk was super helpful and friendly. Not fancy, but clean, simple and convenient.
