Peaceful and quiet hostel. Very friendly owner. The hostel is at a central and safe, quiet neighborhood. From my understanding it's the only hostel in San Miguel de Allende. Towels provided. Also free water refill. Breakfast was great. The patio is very nice to relax or have a chat with others.

There is hardly any space in the female dormroom to put your luggage. Very few hooks on the walls to hang your clothes or towels either which was so inconvenient. Please put more hooks! The window in the room doesn't open (only small bathroom window), so hardly any fresh air coming in with four people in the room. Bunkbeds have no curtains and if you have the lower bunkbed, you cannot sit up straight as the upper bed is very low. It can be very noisy as rooms are next to the patio where people come and go so if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs. Breakfast was included in the price, but for me not necessary and a bit of a waste of money as there were two days I left very early to go on daytrips. I would rather prefer an option where guests only pay for accommodation.

The beautiful hotel was right off a main avenue in town. I loved the colorful decor, my room was spotlessly clean and well serviced each day of my stay. I was super impressed with the website and list of activities that both the B&B hosted, as well as a calendar of activities of events taking place in San Miguel. I felt super safe, and felt cozy and right at home in the property. It was so peaceful and quiet on the property, and I heard no outside noise during my stay. I loved all the hammocks and outdoor space and wish I had more time to just hang out at the property!

I wish there was a full length mirror if not in my room, then somewhere in the shared space of the hotel. The other thing I'd change is the automatic scent thing in the bathroom. It made me sick and exasperated an ear infection I had coming on. It went off entirely too frequently, the smell was way too strong and it kept me up at night, which otherwise would have been an amazing peaceful stay. Many people have allergies, and are sensitive to things like that. I'd really recommend removing them and providing a manual bathroom spray if you felt that was important.

Lovely casa，super good location, close to the historic center and not need to climb up on the hill to reach the place. Sam is a warm host who makes you feel like home. The casa is very clean. It is winter already gets very cold at the evening but there are enough blanket to use so no worry.

Maybe the only thing is the shower at female dorm is very small and weak. And I notice there is no air conditioner at the female dorm so guess it can be a bit hot at summer in the room.

Highly recommend this place, don’t hesitate! The owner, Sam, is one of a kind — he goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels at home. The place is beautiful in a quiet street close enough to the action but far enough away that you can get a good night sleep. Breakfast is delicious; the rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. You get a lot of value for your stay here. Book this place and you won’t regret it! Huge thank you to Sam for everything!

We spent 6 nights at Meson Amelia. We were greeted at the door by the host Sam, who throughout proved to be a thoroughly brilliant host and an excellent cook. The hotel is brightly colored and feels really cozy. Everything is clean and tidy. We can highly recommend this place. We would love to come back.

pricey I had a private room as I wasn’t feeling too well, but the dorms were rather expensive I saw nice rooftop terrace, that wasn’t utilised at all, a shame

The owner was very helpful. Breakfast was great. The hotel is within walking distance of the main square and many restaurants. The rooftop area is a nice place to sit and relax.

The rooms are pretty small, but we were only there to sleep. The rest of the time we were out exploring SMA.

Sam was amazing. He gave us great suggestions on places to go. The breakfast was delicious, and served with a flare. Cozy and clean place with a bar and a pool table which we had sadly no time to enjoy. It is 10 min walk to the center on a quiet street and we felt safe here.

I loved Meson Amelia from the moment I arrived! The staff greeted me so kindly and gave me great advice for San Miguel. Everything was sparkling clean. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were nice. Breakfast was great, they ask about allergies and preferences at check in. The female dorm with attached bathroom is really convenient, the shower works great. This place is perfection! All the other guests were sweet and courteous when I was there. The walk into the historic center is a delight, San Miguel is a living art gallery. I would definitely stay here again! Thank you, Meson Amelia! You are one of the very best! You create the high mark that other hotels can only hope to aspire to.

The owner was so kind and spoke great English which made check in extremely convenient for us. It was easy getting all settled and he showed us all the amenities available to us as well. Just all around an amazing host and showed us several options for booking a taxi back to our airport the next day.

Loved everything! Wish we could have stayed longer!
