Authentically wonderful with meandering areas, patios, pathways, vegitation, etc. Exceptionally staff and cleanliness. Lovely meeting the owner who was hands on and joined in socially and appropriately - she was a delight and wealth of knowledge. Loved the breakfasts and gatherings, staff always very accommodating, fabulous coffee available earlier than scheduled, always appreciated. Nice to have wine on hand in fridge and some snacks on an honor system. We changed rooms for our last night (night 6) as our other room was booked and if there is a next time in SM, would certainly request and pay the extra for the upgraded newer and more modern room. Both had lovely outlooks, but the older one on garden level darker - well worth the upgrade in my opinion. Attracted great group of guests and we got to know a little, sit and chat and compare notes - all very friendly.

Think there was little too improve.

The hotel is just lovely,with a resort-like feel given the level of elevated amenities, such as massage services. It reminded us of the homes in Andalucia, Spain, where behind a simple street facade emerge lush garden spaces with fountains, stone mosaic pathways and terraces. There is thoughtfully curated Mexican art throughout the large property. Our quarters were private and very comfortable. We noted event spaces on the property that would provide a lovely venue for a wedding or retreat.

No dislikes

This place is gorgeous. If it doesn't rain they're watering an array of beautiful flowers plants, trees. There is art everywhere. They even had art opening which was fun and a social outlet. Breakfast served free is a simple menu but tasty. The owner is often around and a smart cool woman. The maids are sweet and know what to do. The office staff is very good and sometimes they even serve breakfast or order you food. On comfort I couldn't give it the best score because the beds were a bit stiff for me and I got an extra comforter out of the closet to help. They had a handicapped ramp but lots if little ups and downs of a few stairs but I managed and Staff was glad to carry my luggage. Overall; top notch old world and natural beauty.

Casa de la Noche was a great place to stay on our first visit to San Miguel. It's not fancy, but it was comfortable, quiet and in a great location, close to the square and a lot of other places to see. All very walkable. The breakfasts were really good too.

It's a small thing, but the pillows could have been a little better.

Breakfast was ok, not much selection. The location was fine, a short walk to the center of town. The room was the small, but clean. Owner is very charming and welcoming. Enjoyed my stay.

I wish the room was bigger, and more private. I reached 2-3 hours earlier than check-in time, they asked for $5/hour extra if I needed the room before 3pm, which was surprising.

The owner and staff are a pleasure. There was a wonderful sense of community among the guests which made breakfast special each morning.

I really enjoyed the communal spaces. I liked the art and the way it was decorated. The breakfast in the morning was very nice. The service from the front desk staff was great.

The room that we stayed in was tiny, and there were only two of us in the space, but it was challenging to maneuver in the room with two people. The lock for the room door seemed very flimsy. This should be fixed.

Good location. Staff was helpful. We loved the central areas such as the garden and the dining room. The breakfast provided was of the right servng and tasteful.

We reserved 3 rooms but 1 room was too small and uncomfortable. The rooms were a bit dated and could be improved. We occupied a room where we heard some leaking water at night. All in all, it was a good stay tho.

The entire building is so beatiful- so many different spaces to discover with plants and art. The staff extremely exceeded my expectations!

Breakfast was wonderful every morning. The location is very central and the staff was very friendly. Tons of common areas. Everyone was so accommodating. And there is tea out at all times.

The rooms were somewhat small but were mainly just for sleeping as the common areas were so large.
