This is a simple, sweet little hotel. Basic, clean, very friendly staff. Daily continental breakfast is included, if you wish more, the menu items are inexpensive. It's a hoof uphill to get to the central plaza and most places of interest, but it was good for my old legs. There is an elevator, but we only used it to drag our luggage up and then back down from the third floor.

First off, like most hotels in Mexico, the noise carries. Noise from the street and from the patio below, and from inconsiderate guests either coming in late and carrying on out in the corridor, or leaving early. The internet was mexicanly intermittent. But their TVs carried several streaming services, which helped my poor husband stuck in the room for four days for close proximity to a bathroom.

Clean room with view to patio in a historical building. There were beds, night tables, a dresser, but no chairs. Solid walls to neighboring rooms, thus little noise transmission. Public areas of hotel were very nicely kept up and appealing because of their historical flair. I slept well and felt safe.

The older male receptionist could have been more forthcoming by granting my request for a quiet room. They had assigned a room facing the street, and he laconically said that there always was noise going on in SMA. Yet, they had available rooms facing the patio at my arrival, and it took some pushing to change me to a different room. Furthermore, be aware that there is no hotel-provided transportation from the bus station to their place.

This property is pet friendly with a pet fee. There is an elevator to all floors. There is parking and a pet relief area. However, bring your own pet-waste bags as they are not provided. The restaurant was delicious, and the staff was super attentive for breakfast. Walking distance to the main plaza and 2 local mercados. There's an artisan market being installed right across the street. We enjoyed that there seem to be more local people in the area of the hotel and fewer foreign tourists. We would definitely stay again and recommend to our friends and family.

Staying here for 1 night and nothing to regret. I recommend this hotel if you want to spend your time in San Miguel de Allende. The location is not so close to the center, you need to walk about 700 meters. 1. Check-in at 15:00 and check-out at 12:00 This is normal time, but you can arrive earlier to park the car at the hotel for free since it is difficult to find free parking. 2. The room is big and clean. The bed and pillows are comfortable. The bathroom is fine, but the hot water seems like it's not hot. No AC no problem since the weather is chilly at the end of October. It was raining last night. 3. The staff is quite friendly. 4. Our booking is breakfast included in the price. It is not a buffet. They will give you bread, fruit, coffee, or tea. They give a plate of fruits, yogurt, bread, and a cup of coffee. 5. The building of the hotel is beautiful and has a garden near the restaurant. 6. Free parking for the hotel guests. 7. Free wifi. 8. Entrance accessible for wheelchairs.

San Miguel is a gorgeous Unesco site with miles of cobbled sidewalks. Bring your walking shoes! That makes its central location important. The rooms are exceptionally beautiful, grouped around a quiet park and garden. Continental breakfast is free, or you can buy hot meals. The restaurant is only open at breakfast. The staff were friendly, albeit with little English. We loved the hotel and plan to return next year. There's so much going on in the town, and inexpensive taxis are in abundance when you get tired.

I'd suggest only one thing -- that the hotel supply guests with a walking map to the central plaza. There are many routes, and some are more car and bus-laden than you'd want (doesn't show on Google). Once we found it, 7-9 minutes would get you to the heartbeat of San Miguel without too much traffic. There is a LOT of walking in this town!

The staff went out of its way to help us with the language barrier they wanted to make sure we could get around safely and find our way back. They just went above and beyond to ensure we had a good time.

Would have preferred to know in advance that it was not air conditioned. But the rooms have fans in them and the weather was a cool 70 the whole time we were there so it was good.

I love Everything I knew was an old beautiful building and even I had little bit of hard times doing steps I enjoyed my stay the hotel staff made very nice room accommodations for me as providing a chair in the shower i don’t recommend this hotel for wheelchairs the streets of the town as well are hilly and rocky stretch sidewalks and streets. In the breakfast area we are at the patio is nice and relaxing Rosario and Ashley were our waitress and their service were outstanding. Muchas gracias !!!!!❤️❤️

I asked for a very quiet room. The room I got was absolutely silent. I slept so well. I could not have been more pleased. It was also spacious, comfortable, great wifi, comodious bathroom and walking distance to everything I wanted to do.

Great location. Available elevator, super helpful for my disabled parents. Nice rooms, liked the bathroom fixtures. Parking available. Breakfast was included. Loved the patio are for breakfast.

No AC, I didn’t realize it didn’t have AC. The night my family and I stayed was high temperature. They did offer stand fans but it was rather loud. Did not help for a good night rest. Did not like the one steep step from parking lot to the hotel, my handicap parents had a difficult time walking that area.

The hotel is so beautiful. The pictures do not honor the reality of the well-cared place and common areas! We were only one night for new years eve and will totally go back. Nice and spacacious three double bed room which accommodated our doggies. Everything was spotless clean. In the lobby there was hot coffee and tea, even during the evening. Staff is friendly and helpful. Continental Breakfast was good. Parking was quite tight and maybe limited, but was very convenient and gated. A little bit of a hike up hill to the center but the walk was enjoyable. About one and half block away there was an convenience store (oxxo). We simply enjoyed our stay! Thank you the awesome staff for making it great!
