This intimate boutique property is very attractive with lush plantings and a short walk to the shops and downtown Ajijic. The staff was very kind and they provided a nicely prepared breakfast with fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, juice, omelet and local options in their pleasant outdoor dining area.

Depending on the season you travel there are flying/biting bugs in the area so bug repellant may be needed. WiFi was marginal strength. Prior to arrival, I tried to call the hotel but it was difficult as the call was not answered after many attempts. I ended up googling to find a cell number of an owner/employees from a blog and it worked. I had called to ask about available parking which is possible inside the gate but it is by request. There is a lot of street parking as well.

Breakfast was very nice and made to order. Not big but enough for us. We did not use the pool. Staff were friendly and helpful. The bathroom was big with a great shower - plenty of hot water with a bit of patience. The view was pleasant with a view all the way to Lake Chapala. I loved how quiet it was at night. I hope to return one day here. A little pricey but worth it.

Parking was limited but we were OK with it.

I liked the quietness of the hotel, the ease and comfort of the room and in general the facilities seemed very nice and clean. The food was delicious.

I didn't like locating the staff to get drinks or food during the afternoon was difficult. I also didn't like that the pool water wasn't as warm as they said. And one of the beds in the room was very uncomfortable.

The grounds are beautiful. Great location once you figure out to put the name of the hotel in maps instead of the address. Awesome staff. And such a view!

The hot tub jets weren’t working on the room hot tub. And the legs on the claw foot tub in other room have sagged to the point the tub will not drain properly. Just maintenance.

Overall we had a very enjoyable stay. The pool and jacuzzi were warm and the grounds and view were pretty. Suite 8 was spacious and attractive.

The level of cleanliness was the only thing that stopped this from being an incredible experience for us. When we arrived, our toilet hadn’t been cleaned (faeces). The reception girl quickly came and cleaned it. After drinking a coffee in the room we discovered that the coffee machine water reservoir was lined with algae and there were ants floating in it. We took this to reception before leaving and weren’t offered an apology. The bathroom had established spiderwebs which would benefit from being removed. The bathroom at reception also had a lot of spiderwebs. There were workers at a property across the street that had fairly load not very appealing music playing which didn’t add to our enjoyment in the pool/jacuzzi but out of the hotels control.

Nice but short stay, perfect stop on a roadtrip through Mexico. The room was great, breakfast really good (nice chilaquiles), and the main pool was really nice.

The jacuzzi (which we didn't know about, so that was a pleasant surprise!) next to the pool had a strange smell, not disgusting but also not pleasant. It also didn't feel very clean.

All of the employees were very helpful. We had an issue with our room and were quickly accommodated to a different room (a better room). The hotel itself is beautiful and welcoming. The view is nice. I appreciate how quite it was. The pool was a good temperature. Breakfast was good as well. My eggs were perfect, lol.

I do have a couple of complaints. The shower in room 10 was difficult to use. One of the knobs (controls the waterfall showerhead) needs to be replaced. And, the jet spa tub would not turn on in room 3.

Location was good. Breakfast was delicious. Bathroom was spacious. We didn't use pool or jacuzzi due to our stay being so short but both looked clean. Exceptional service by staff.

Beds were a bit too hard for my taste.

Breakfast was excellent! And personnel was always giving us a great service.

There is problem with the showers on both rooms and there is a constant waste of water (24hours) that probably is costing a lot of money to management. Needs a good keep up.

quiet, beautiful grounds.

it said on the website they had room service, restaurant. I wanted to have a glass of wine by the pool and it wasn’t available. Had I known that I would have purchased a bottle. Other than that…it was lovely!
