The main thing that makes this place great is the location. Right in the center of downtown, and they have a lot of activities and events in the bar / restaurant / that is directly connected to the hostel. 2 min walk straight down the street to the beach. The shared rooms with bunk beds are also surprisingly cosy for a v reasonable price. There are plenty of nooks in the public spaces of the hostel to hang out in, so you really don't need a private room. The heated pool in the center is pretty clutch. Shared kitchen is nice to have if you want to cook yourself, or even just reheat your leftovers from a nearby restaurant.

Can be v noisy at night because sometimes there are parties going on around which go late, so keep that in mind if it's not your thing, but that's just a part of being right in downtown Sayulita.

The best hostel I've stayed at. The pool is refreshing and a real plus in hot weather. Super close to the surf. Beds are comfy and private. Yoga is great and there's a lot of space in the hostel to lounge. Staff was nice and helpful in locating my lost item. All the comments about the noise, it's downtown Sayulita, surrounded by bars, every other hotel in the area is the same. Noise in dorms? That's why you bring earplugs to hostels, you can't control who you're with. I tried 2 other hostels in Sayu and this one is much better for almost the same price.

Mostly a digital nomad working crowd not so much of a community or good place to meet people.

Great location in the center of Sayulita, the dorms are very comfortable and the beds give good privacy even for a dorm. The hostel was always clean and the staff is very friendly.

There are no social activities at the hostels. As a solo traveler, it was very hard to meet people. The feeling is more like a hotel where people don't really talk.

Fun atmosphere, cafe/bar on site with music at night (closed Sunday night though). Pool, classes, and small events. We had massages while there (occasionally they host them in the lobby). The staff was great especially Amber. We had private rooms and they were quieter than some other reviews. When you stay here you know you're in the middle of a bustling and exciting tourist town. It's a great spot if that's what you're looking for!

It was all good. One tiny thing: Pool was a little chilly and deep (about 8-10 feet all the way around). Hard to get a cab out of there. Probably best to arrange a ride or travel light. You may need to walk to the plaza (3 mins) with all your luggage to hail one.

The location is great. It’s right in the centre on town and a few minutes from the beach. The beds and comfortable (with curtains) and they clean the room and bathroom daily. The staff are helpful and happy to help.

There is always a line at reception. There aren’t many places to sit and relax if you don’t want to be in your bed. I would’ve loved to sit at the pool and relax.

Honestly the best hostel I’ve ever visited! I’ve never met such friendly and helpful staff. When we arrived, we got picky with our assigned room and wanted to switch. They didn’t make a big deal out of it, were really understanding and switched us to another room immediately. The pool in the lobby was very nice to have and the yoga spot upstairs is out of this world. Everything was very clean and we will definitely come back to Selina on our next trip to Sayulita ☺️

Such great people keeping the hostel alive, clean, with lots of socialising opportunities. They have a “host” every day that sends messages in the hostel group chat with the evening’s activities. But, when I fell sick they took such great care of me. I never write reviews but Viajero deserves this! The amenities here are a class apart from other hostels and I have been in Sayulita before and I’m glad I chose to stay here.

The rooms are super spacious, as well as the bathroom which is amazing! The rooms are cleaned everyday, the towels replaced. Unfortunately only one hair dryer at the reception desk to share with other guests. The location is amazing, super central and 2 minutes walking from from the beach. They offer an amazing range of wellness activities for free for guests!! The only thing is that the rooms are so humid, strong smell of humidity, the cloths the wardrobe get super humid.. but there is air conditioning/dehumidifier

Selina's biggest asset is the quality of the facilities. Christian, one of the member of the reception staff have been the most helpful and adorable person met during this trip. I am very grateful for his assistance all the way through my stay.

Sound insulation is really poor. Selina is located at the heart of bars and party places. With the bar downstairs and its fellow neighbours, it was very hard to sleep and caused many guests difficult nights. this should be a to priority to fix.

overpriced for the quality of the establishment, our room constantly smelling from the pipes and the toilets next to the room. there always some noise it was impossible to rest at times. the main problem though for us was that there was no sense of community as in other selina locations, and the staff was far from friendly, i have stayed already in multiple selina locations but after this experience i would really need to consider if i will trust it again.
