The staff and experience

You pay full price for accommodations but get treated 2nd class at times. if you have not become a premier member, you can usually only get second row or third row chairs at the pool. Premier members can make restaurant reservations non members can’t make any restaurant reservations . So it is wait for premier members to not show up for their reservation to get a table. The resort keeps adding premier members so the non members are being more and more put in second class options. So be aware that you will pay a high price at the resort but as a non premier member at times you will be only entitled to second tier choices.

The property is beautiful, relaxing, fun, sexy, and stimulating. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming and it’s always a pleasure to help. Pool and pool attendants Miguel and his partner were attentive and hustling to meet everyone’s needs. Breakfast and lunch at Aphrodite had consistently delicious buffet options and fresh made grill items or on menu. Manuelita (little mama) was the best! She went above and beyond to pamper us, look out for us each day, help us make a special to go plate when my hubby was sick in the room one day, always generous with her care. She was the best! All the Bar staff and our waiter at the pool Servando worked hard and were eager to get our requests completed quickly and just the way we liked it. We attended the premier presentation as we came on a referral this trip to explore what the premier benefits added to our experience. Mauricio and Sam did a great job listening and understanding and gave us a really great contract offer. They treated us with a lot of care and respect. We didn’t sign at this point yet, but to their credit I wanted to.

Pillows need replacing, ours were too firm and lumpy. Maybe just provide an option of soft pillows. Some of the thatched awnings need repair which took away from the excellent maintenance and care of the grounds, buildings and details of the property. Nothing else to report, this is a well run resort with amazing people and concept!

The food that we did eat was very good. It really would have been nice to have room service especially for breakfast since we do not leave the room until 1 or 2 each day. We like the "play" area and that everything was close and convenient to walk to. The service was excellent.

We did not make it to breakfast. We did not know that room service was available to us. The concierge did not inform us that we could get room service so we ended up missing breakfast and most lunches. We could not get in to most of the restaurants since we were not preferred guests and didn't have reservations. The rooms were nice, but could use some updating.

We just returned from a fantastic holiday at Desire. Best holiday ever. The staff were just amazing. Some specail mentions here. I have strait dietary needs. Mafer from Guest Services and Arturo the Sous Chef went to great efforts to make my stay the best holiday . All the chefs and wait staff were very good. But Arturo and Mafer were so diligent and helpful . We just cancelled another two resort holiday because they couldn’t assist with my dietary needs. So it’s two more trips to desire coming up for us. Also a cal” out of Erik , George and ediberto! The activities team Kia, Sam, Bella, Shirley, Candice Felix Alejandra and John kept us going all day. My wife was sceptical about this holiday but after a few pool parties and some well organised fun in the pool she is hooked. The pool staff and the bar staff couldn’t do enough. The food, the pool, the gym, the beach , the entertainment were all so good. I ve got to give the food another wrap. Even the gardeners and security men were so friendly and welcoming. It just felt like our home. Looking forward to our next trip in a few months.

The only negative was the 24 hours travel to get there. If it was closer we go more often.

Amazing quality of staff, always very responsive and nice. The restaurants level is also quite high, we had very fine meals with some good diversity of food. Entertainment was also very qualitative with great live bands. Deep tissue massages were really good as well. Very large pool that almost spans the entire width of the property gives you a sense of space and luxury.

First of all, I have a special remark about the accommodation conditions. The architecture is special, the gardens are wonderful, the sea view is fabulous, and it is very very clean. As it was at Temptation, a resort from the same group, the food and drinks were of high quality, and the services were of high quality. And just like at Temptation, it's common to tip to bartenders, waiters, pool attendants, etc, but it seems that this habit is part of the landscape... This is not a bad thing, but it's good to know that this is how it is used on the Mayan Riviera. Also for good information, I would like to specify that the average age of the customers is around 50, which is why the atmosphere is much quieter than they say. And we really liked the quiet mornings on the grass, in front of the villa, close to the seaside...

There was nothing to dislike. As I like to say, as long as the information you have when you choose a resort matches reality, it's wonderful. If you don't have correct information and you dream of something else, you may be disappointed... So take it and read, good people!

It was very nice, nice restaurants, nice mini shop what have everything (besides the gum)), beach bbq excellent, nice personal, always ready to help, nice people around who did atmosphere very sexy and adult 😄

We don’t like the gym, I mean , gym is good, but I wanted to see more machines , iron that stuff.. we like gym, so for us it’s important Also I don’t like the shampoo, gel, conditioner, it’s absolutely awful, my hair was suffering and destroyed, so I advice you to take your fav shampoo and conditioner with you

Location is very good, about 25 minutes’ walk from Puerto Morelos center along the beach. The beach is of very fine sand and swimming is ideal. The resort is very nice, upscale and well maintained. The rooms are large, it is recommended to take a sea view room with balcony. The food is excellent and was a big surprise for an all-inclusive resort where food very often is not more than average.

The seaweeds on the beach are a problem although the hotel does its best to clean the beach every day. The guests are older and there is not so much swinger activity as one would expect from a swinger resort. The disco was already empty at 23.30 h most nights; a big contrast to Desire Riviera Maya where the disco is crowded well past midnight and there are much more swinger activities with a younger crowd.

Desire Pearl is a unique property that is very welcoming and comfortable. All the staff, without exception, is helpful and polite. The Bellmen - Alexis and Vincent - welcome you and start your vacation on the right note. They ask if you need anything and always follow through. Reception is smooth and easy. Luis at the lobby bar has a smile on his face and is quick to get you a cool beverage. At the pool Antonio, Horacio, Miguel get you a chaise with towels, and are quick to move umbrellas to give you sun or shade. They all work hard. Oliver and Annabelle are fantastic and work constantly to bring beverages or even food if you would like it to the pool. Caesar is now in customer service and came around several times asking how things are going and anything he could do for you. Doing a wonderful job. Carlos is an amazing room service server. Every morning he would bring breakfast and make sure you had everything needed, all with a smile on his face. And of course the playmakers work tirelessly. Candice and Kia are full of energy and make sure you feel welcome and engaged. Bella, Sam and the others are fantastic working hard everyday to keep the atmosphere lively and entertaining. I can't imagine the place without them. The bartenders at the pool bar are simply the best and probably work the hardest of all. Overall, a great vacation and can't wait to go back.

Nothing really to not like. Food is good with variety. Drinks are plentiful and lots of choices - not everything but enough. Wine choice is not the best, but have to say better than it's been in the past.

everything was so nice. breakfast, dinner all was excellent. thanks to chef Nico who has specially prepared an Indian dinner for us. staff was so Smilee and helpful and thanks Maurio staff supervisor , santiago, Memo Reynold and Tessa all they were too good.
