We found Puerto Morelos to be a pleasant first stop on our Yucatan Peninsula journey, and our stay at Yax Kiin was an integral part of our sense of the town. A short walk from the beach, the hotel offered easy access to tasty restaurants & a morning run around town. Should we make a return trip to Quintana Roo, we would likely stay longer in Puerto Morelos, since it avoids the hustle & bustle of Cancun & Playa del Carmen.

In the interests of sustainability, offering guests access to a garrafon of drinking water in the kitchen area--even for an additional fee--would prompt me to rebook at Yax Kiin. Also: clearing out some of the clutter in the kitchen & the pool area would make the property more inviting. It seemed as though the hotel was still in the "soft opening" stage & not yet reaching its potential.

Great location. Rooms were clean and spacious. Bed was very comfortable. Shower was really powerful and warm. The balcony was lovely to sit on. The kitchen is fantastic with lots of equipment to cook with. We didn’t use the pool area in the end as Puerto Morelos beach is so beautiful. The accommodation is surrounded by lovely cafes and restaurants and it’s less than a 5 min walk to the beach.

I’d advise you to request a room rear to the property if you’re a light sleeper as the view is better and it’s a lot quieter. The property also doesn’t have a safe.

This is a new property. The room was comfortable, clean, modern, and had cute boho decor! The shower had strong water pressure and nice hot water! The a/c worked well. The host was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. Located just 5 mins from the beach and right next door to several cafes and small restaurants. Would definitely stay again!!

The room was clean but the shared kitchen space always seemed cluttered and not maintained well. The pool area needs some TLC, it’s not an inviting area.

Everything. I even extended my stay. I will definitely stay here again. The bed and pillows are comfortable. I love the natural lighting in the bathroom as well.

The communal kitchen was well stocked for use. Giovanni is a great host, very accommodating! I enjoyed sitting out on the balcony.

It could use a table and comfortable chair to work at in the room.

No locker, no safe for 80 usd per night..come on Fridge and kitchen full of old over date food, bit like a student house kitchen..
