Everyone on staff was kind, welcoming, and helpful. I stayed in a shared room that was clean and I loved the softness of the sheets and the bed was super comfortable. I also love that they don't try to cut costs with rigid A/C rules and actually care that guests are taken care of and feel comfortable in the room. Aside from that, the atmosphere in Maui is great! As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and happy in all spaces on the property. Everyone, including long-term guests, are lovely people. They made it feel like a happy home! They always greeted me when I left for the day and when I returned. Special shoutout to Alleryn, Fabi, and Humberto who were extra attentive and were always looking out for me. And Pablo for always making sure the room was clean and tidy. Another bonus is the presence of Peter and Chicha, two of the sweetest furry friends one could ever ask for.

Exceptional Stay – Truly a Hidden Gem in Tulum! 🌴🌟 I had an amazing time at Maui Hostel! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel right at home. Everyone was super friendly, helpful, and full of great recommendations for exploring Tulum. The vibe is relaxed and social, perfect for meeting fellow travelers without feeling like a wild party hostel. The rooms and common areas were immaculately clean and well-maintained. The beds were super comfortable with privacy curtains and personal lockers – ideal for getting a good night's sleep. The air conditioning was a lifesaver after hot days out. What really sets Maui Hostel apart is the atmosphere – chill but fun. The rooftop is a perfect spot to unwind with a drink or catch sunset. They also offer bike rentals, which made it super easy to get to the beach and around town. I’ve stayed in hostels all over the world, and Maui is definitely one of my favorites. It has the perfect balance of comfort, community, and location. Can’t recommend it enough – wish I could’ve stayed longer!

It’s a really nice place! The place isn't modern and it's not in a trendy area, but you can see that the neighborhood is developing, there are a lot of good restaurants and it's only about 15 minutes from the ADO stop (though a little further from the sea). The hostel itself is clean and has a wonderful atmosphere! Stuff is very friendly and extremely helpful, breakfasts are delicious!

The neighborhood is still expanding, so if when you go to the hostel the navigation shows the way through lots of small streets I would recommend sticking to the main, larger roads - the first time I went exactly according to the navigation and at one point I felt like I stepped into someone's backyard XD ah, and be sure to have mosquito repellent

The hostel is very pleasant, surrounded by trees and flowers and is well run by the staff. The female dorm is wide and comfortable. The kitchen is a good place to socialise. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would like to particularly thank Karina and Candela for their assistance

It is a bit far from the centre and the colectivos, so you have to walk for a while under the sun.

Room was great, property was quiet at night despite lots of guests and being so close to Pueblo. Staff and guests were friendly and helpful. They even had property pets, helped me feel not so homesick while missing my dog. 😍 My room-I got a single-was just what I needed. Best part, everything in town was decent walking distance.

Really nice and friendly vibe. The rooms are nice and comfortable. Free breakfast is great bonus and there is also drinking water available. All the stuff is super nice and helpful.

Don’t rent bikes in the hostel. They are crap. Walk little towards centre and there are really cool bikes to rent for cheaper.

It feels like chilling in the jungle. It's really nice located, close to the center and relatively quite. The bicycles you can rent there are not in the best shape anymore, but you can get some easily in the same street close by. Lovely and helpful staff, I'll come back♥️

Beautiful place, lots of green, pool. Everyone is super nice and helpful, good atmosphere, very comfortable. Breakfast was great too and handed with a smile.. It's a bit far from the center but totally worth it. Highly recommended!

The bed was a bit too soft for me but thats just me..

Overall atmosphere was lovely - it's a beautiful property with a number of cozy common spaces to spend time in. Breakfast was simple but tasty. Friendly and helpful staff with lots of tips, was able to easily rent a bike from the hostel as well to explore Tulum (much cheaper than a taxi!)
