Great resort conditions/services included and staff, we had an amazing stay, good food & drinks & cocktails, beach and pool services included

At this season, sargassum might still ruin your beach view, although the resort staff is hardly and continuously cleaning it, and you can still swim the private beach and the Akumal resort bay which is always clean and good for snorkeling ;) Everything else you need to pay extra (recuerdos, sun lotion) in the resort will be overpriced, buy somewhere else!

Our stay at Bahia Principe Grand Tulum was amazing. The Staff is super friendly and always ready to help and assist as best as they can. The proximity of the hotel with to the beach is amazing. You have pools that are on the sea front, so you just have to choose. Breakfast and food in general was fantastic. There is food of many types for you to try and quality is consistent throughout. Just ask for your favourite drink and staff will make if for you. The rooms are great, with big beds and super comfortable. The always have a balcony and a hanger to put some cloths drying. Mini bar and coffee is included. You will also find an ironing board and iron if you need. You can find USB and power outlets that are compatible with European chargers other than American. There is a dedicated space for the kids, with loads of ramps and other activities in and out of the swimming pools. Animation staff is always going around the hotel and making sure everyone is having a good time. Some rooms can be far away from reception and main building, but there are always shuttles going around the hotel to bring you to the main building or other hotels of the group just besides this one. There are thematic restaurants that you can dine other than the main one and depending on how long you stay, they will be included. These include Asian, Brazilian and Mexican. The hotel is also good for night life. There are loads of activities in the bars and around the main pool.

The Bahia Principe hotels are Tulum kind of on their own. It is one hour away from Cancun. For some that could good or bad. On the rooms, the water pressure on the shower was low depending on how many people are using it on the building at that time. Also, the rooms show some of the battle scares on the room hardware. In some cases, the rooms can be far away from the main building, so just make sure you pack all you need before you leave. Coming back can take a while. Shuttles are every 15min. When booking make a remark if you are travelling with kids to stay on one of the lower floors, specially if you have buggies to carry up the stairs.

Breakfast was good. Location was good. Only concern was eating something every day

I already said I am not buying membership. They said it is tour. I spend like 1.5 hours but it is not tour. They showed me membership types. Little bit like forcing to get membership. That was the only bad experience. Everything else was good.

Grounds are kept meticulous and clean-gorgeous! Our suite was quite far from the main lobby, but the walk back-and-forth was so enjoyable due to the beautiful scenery, wildlife, and friendly staff. We also enjoyed the abundance of pool and beach chairs - no getting up at 6 am to secure chairs (been there, done that for years - so nice to finally be able to sleep in and still get a good spot by the beach or pool!!) The food was excellent as well! OMG - the abundance - not always the case at some resorts- of guacamole was heavenly!😋😋So many good things about this resort that the few “could improve” should not be mentioned except for the gym - a disaster…common? A resort of this caliber cannot do better??? The young man at the gym, and also the Pilates instructor, was nothing but professional and knowledgeable, but really? This poor guy, and all your guests, are working out in a small gym with old, barely working, out-dated equipment - TWO treadmills for a resort of this size????????? Floor tiles that are not secured in place, no exercise mats (well, ONE) - the entire gym was a HUGE disappointment…

The gym. And the fact that there were no “to-go-paper-plates” at the buffet restaurant. Two family members got sick and when I tried to bring food back to the room for them, I was denied because I wasn’t allowed to leave the buffet restaurant with a porcelain plate…SO GET PAPER PLATES!!!! Ridiculous-been to so many resorts and NEVER had this problem! Bed mattress was VERY HARD…

The food was good - buffet and the 2 restaurants we tried. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and so well kept. Enjoyed the wildlife on the property. Iguanas, coatis, agouti, all made the time more fun. Appreciated the great air conditioning in our hotel rooms. It was hot while we were there.

We all (11 of us) found the surface floors and tiles to be very slippery and a bit scary. Several of us slipped/fell while walking around the resort - around the pools, or hotel rooms, in the buffet. I don’t know why but it was definitely a negative factor for us.

Great facilities, nicely laid out with beautiful main pool (which has 3 separate pools including swim up bar). The property & vegetation are well taken care of with banana plants & other tropical plants. Rooms are clean with very good house keeping. The food at the 7-8 restaurants was fantastic. The buffet offered Mexican, sushi, Italian, grilled meats for dinner & a vast variety of breakfast and lunch meals. All types of fresh fruit, deserts, made to order omelets. The service was unbelievable. Every person on the hotel & buffet & restaurant staff went out of their way to keep the guests satisfied, always checking on any food or drinks need & feedback. The entertainment staff was great with just the right mix of things to do each day at the main pool. I’ve stayed at (6)Sandals all inclusive which always exceeded my expectations. They have something for everyone, adults only, families with children or singles. Bahia Principe - Tulum All inclusive even out did Sandals. An incredible vacation & tremendous value. I will return next year!!

Nothing to say bad about this resort.

Very decent place. Loved the food. Excellent service. Tennis lessons with coach Daniel were very nice.

Not enough sunbeds and way too little umbrellas. Music at the pool could be less loud and the entertainment program in the evening was not convincing (some shows even cost money - we did not attend these).

needs more shade areas, very difficult to be at pool or on beach without being in full sun unless you go early to reserve lounges. shade space is at a premium especially in main pool area.

The food was excellent, with lots of variety and food for many tastes. The grounds and pools were beautiful. The common buildings like the lobby, pool bar etc. were grand and well done.

The pools could have been tested and treated more often. Refilling of towels, water etc in the rooms was hit and miss every day. Kids between 9-12 should be able to play in the teen room, there wasn't enough available for them to do.
