The facility is located in a quiet location on a beautiful sandy beach, situated next to an ecosystem. It was very relaxing. The staff were exceptional, including Aswaldo, Enrico, MariLou and Carlos just to name a few. There were two pools to choose from and outdoor exercise/weight area which we enjoyed. They re-fenced and resurfaced the tennis court while we were there, but we managed to fit a few days of playing beforehand. The food is very good with a lot of variety and the alternating evenings of musicians were really great. We hope that after the new wing is complete, it will remain a quiet and restful place to visit.

It’s hard to find anything to complain about. I guess we were a bit disappointed that the tennis courts weren’t complete, but we managed to fit a few days in before the resurfacing.

Pretty special being so close to the Caribbean. The pools were a good size and clean. Best of all were the staff. Always keen to help. Fast to respond to queries. Pleasant and happy. Thanks.

The property is looking a little tired. Some paint and landscaping would make it feel cared for. The adjoining public road is a challenge.

Beautiful rooms with sea view! The AC in the rooms is great. Beautiful area to walk on the beach. The breakfast is amazing! A lot to choose from and omelets & pancakes is done upon your request. If you walk 700m out to the main road there is shuttle service which is very cheap. Only 25MXP to Tulum centro.

Remote area, only hotels here. Tulum which is the city is 12km away and the taxi price is very expensive, 700 MXP (50$)!! Did not try the lunch or dinner since it was very expensive (900MXP). Only one beer avavible which is not so good either.

Terrific location right in front of a quiet part of the beach, with plenty of sun beds and space for everybody. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They have great breakfast offer. The decoration and the interiors are beautiful and well taken care of. It has two big pools right in front of the sea.

The only thing that I disliked was the music at the beach bar. It is loud, repetitive and starts early in the day. It's unnecessary and it kind of ruins an otherwise perfect vibe.

The location is far from the city, there is nothing to do next to the hotel and taxis are very expensive you need to rent a car or a bike.

The only negative is 1 staff at the front desk, Filberto was inattentive and rude. No eye contact, didn't listen to issues and had little interest in guests, or issues. To top it off he lied to me and another family in our group. He was 1 only negative, a big negative but everything else was great!

VR Tulum was lovely, away from noisy, dusty Tulum, a peaceful, gated, safe retreat 5 miles from Tulum. Though the room was small, the bed was very comfortable, the balcony overlooking the sea a delight. The bathroom was nicely appointed though very small. I can't say enough good things about the staff, always friendly and helpful. The tour company had some great options for viewing ruins and Cenote. The meals were all Buffet style which grew tiresome, would have preferred menu style with freshly prepared dishes (best choice was the freshly prepared pasta dish or grilled meat at dinner and omelette for breakfast). Since this facility was reopened by new owners two months ago, they are still growing into themselves. I would give it a 3 1/2-4 star rating. A location bonus was a Cenote just down the road, with a nice beach bar across from it (and tasty fish tacos!).

Limited choice of authentic Mexican/Aztec food available at the buffet. And, not the hotel's responsibility but the windy conditions kept us off the beach 4 of our 5 day stay...but the Cenotes proved to be a fantastic option.

View of the ocean from our room was fabulous. Breakfasts were amazing, with great variety, eggs made to order and espresso! Grounds were pleasant.

Bed was a ibt too hard for me. However, when I asked if they had any softer beds they immediately brought a few mattress pads and it resolved the problem. There were several tiny ants in the bathroom and near fridge, but they didn't really bother us.

It's a beautiful resort for a getaway. It is about 10 minutes from downtown Tulum. Super quiet and the breakfast was awesome especially their beignets were the best! Also, their massage lady was the best!

Lunch and dinner on the resort were not the best, we also hoped for traditional/authentic Mexican food however it was more Western. The resort is also somewhat outdated, otherwise, all was great!

This Resort is located right on a beautiful beach. It’s about 10 minutes away by car from Tulum Center, but have in mind Taxi ride will be pricy. Staff was amazing, rooms comfortable, the Resort itself is very nice. Just have in mind if you are looking to go out every night you would have to go to center of Tulum or Zona Hotelera because there is nothing around the Resort. It’s very quiet and peaceful area with AMAZING beach !

Would be nice if Resort would have shuttle running to Center of Tulum
