Friendly and accommodating staff that were very helpful, prime location next to the marina in San Carlos (hence the name). Ample guest parking in front of the hotel. Free shuttle that went down to the Marinaterra beach club, also about an 8 min walk. Beach club itself was great, very reasonably priced drinks, swim up bar, ample seating. Walking distance from many bars and restaurants. The Marinaterra condos next to the hotel were really great although we didn't stay there. Recommended and would stay again, but would probably try a deluxe room.

Wi-fi was spotty and stopped working halfway through the trip. Standard double room was clean but very basic. No mini fridge, low water pressure, room phone did not work.

The room was super spacious and the view amazing, same as the bath tube outside and the warm pool (sauna was off) for a chilly day. The food was great, staff, everything! The sofa was very comfortable, great size and firm, not like many others you find in hotels.

It doesn’t have a beach. They can take you there - which we didn’t use - but still, always easier to be at beachfront. Almost empty, missing a bit of charm from the pool bar for instance (2nd week March).

We got a great room with a view of the marina and the petones. Free parking was onsite and near the elevator to our floor. We enjoyed the hotel restaurant for dinner our first night, and found great breakfast place ( Baracudda Bobs ) a short walk in the marina, and another dinner place ( Tortugas ) a short walk away. We only used one of the full beds which was very supportive. Walking around in the hotel requires few steps with lots of ramps for people with mobility problems,

Our room did not have a fridge and the small coffee maker was broken. They probably would have gotten us another but we only stayed 2 nights so didn't report it until leaving

Staff were wonderful, the front desk staff were very courteous, the housekeeping staff were friendly and efficient, and the restaurant staff were amazing and attentive.

It seemed as though the hotel was under some renovations ( which is a good thing), however it made for a very mild inconvenience getting through the lobby.

Incredible view of the harbour. Nice beds and bedding. Good parking. Will definitely stay there again.

The number of people who talk loudly in the middle of the night when returning to their rooms!

Modern spa and hotel. Great for a relaxing getaway and to disconnect from the city. Amazing views from the hotel.

Very pricey drinks that weren't that well prepared.
