The rooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable and the shower was hot. The staff were really lovely and helpful and even offered to lend us some money when we were unable to find a working ATM. The breakfast was large and very nice. We absolutely LOVED the cats Sultan and Sultana, the cutest cats we found in Morocco (which is saying something) It took approximately 15 mins to walk to the blue gate from here. Though we did take a few wrong turns sometimes!
Not much at all, though it was noisy one night as guests were having the meal downstairs. Just the nature of riads though really. We didn't have the food there as 2 of us weren't well but we heard that it was really good

The Riad Dar Baba is located very near the old Medina, near all the cultural/Historical sites to visit in the Medina. The Riad is beautiful, very clean, large, beautiful colours inside, very comfortable, peaceful, it's very pleasant inside, cool when it is hot outside. The hosts Hisham and Mohammed are very professional, very helpful, yet very discreet. They are both excellent hosts. Hisham greeted us on our arrival to Fès, prepared a very nice mint tea for us (my mother & I), he provided us with a map of the Medina and give us very good recommendations and advice. Hisham and Mohammed made our stay very comfortable and really lovely. They have an amazing cook as well who cooks amazing dishes, a super chef!! and the cleaning lady is very kind and efficient! We were able to enjoy our stay feeling safe and very well looked after. I can't thank them enough for their kindness. Overall, I highly recommend it and would return without hesitation!
Nothing, Riad Baba is a very beautiful place, I highly recommend it.

The staff at the riad was wonderful - very friendly and helpful, always available. Nice breakfast every morning, we also had dinner there one night and it was the best meal we had in Fes - highly recommend the tagine chicken with lemon. The riad’s location is nice - on the edge of the Medina so you get the authentic experience but close to where the airport taxi can pick up and drop off. Beautiful old building that has been updated but not so much that it is contemporary in style - still very traditional.
Beds weren’t super comfortable but weren’t terrible either.

The hosts were very friendly and open. The breakfast was amazing, the room got cleaned every day. The location is also perfect at the edge of the medina. The rooftop terrace which is accessible at all times has a beautiful view over part of the medina and the Borj South, see the picture of a sunrise during our stay in January. We were with 3 guys so we booked the room for 4 to have a separate bed each, the private bathroom across the hallway was great, but simple, see picture.
Not a concern with a Riad but a traveling tip; Around the Riad and in the Medina there are a lot of scammers active. Do NOT walk with ANYONE whatever they tell you, and stick to your own directions. You will get led into the maze of the medina and get charged for the directions they gave you, or you are taken on a 'guide' you dont want. Turn to either of the hosts for advice on navigation.

We spent two nights at this Riad and it was our favorite place we stayed in Morocco. The hosts were extremely nice. We didn’t get in from the airport till 2 AM and he waited up for us and showed us our room. The breakfast was delicious. The host recommended a walking tour and we loved it. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and took us all through the Medina. If we come back to Morocco, we would 100% stay at this place again.

Mohammed and Hicham were the best host you can find in Fes!! They helped me to sort it out different things with an extremely kindness! I give them 10/10 because they made me feel like at home! The room was spacious and clean. The bed is really comfortable! Wifi is working great! They also give you the chance to have dinner any time upon reservation, i ate the best chicken tajine in town! Thank you again! Hope to come back soon!

Well located and extremely good value for money. Amazing hosts who helped with our every need and were really kind. Dinner at the riad was one of the best we had in Morocco – really recommend staying in for dinner at least one night. Comfortable and spacious room too.

The guardian, Mohammed, was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The welcome was easily the warmest we've had in Morocco. Other than that, the location of the riad is about as central as you get. The tile work and overall decoration/handiwork inside the patio is just... incredible! We had the top floor which has allowed us to watch the sunrise 🤯
The bathroom was a bit run down: the shower area was kinda small. The walls were damaged by humidity and the shower hose leaked quite a lot.

My friend and I had an amazing stay here. The staff were beyond kind and made sure we were accommodated 24/7. We had to wake up extra early for a desert tour and they had made a packed breakfast for us and walked us and waited for us to be picked up by our tour. Not to mention the Riad itself it’s very gorgeous and our room was perfect. I couldn’t recommend this place more.

Very helpful staff, before our arrival we received a message with instructions how to get to the place and WhatsApp contact number. It was possible to order a dinner which was waiting for us on the evening of our arrival and it was delicious. They also booked a hammam session for us. The riad looks traditional, great place to experience something special. Located within walking distance to main attractions.
Very narrow streets in the neigbourhood, not recommended to walk at night, it is easy to get lost.
