If there were any flaws, the staffs Nadir, Omar & lady chef N compensated them all. The staffs were gems!! Very helpful, very pleasant and polite. The riad was just like what we imagine, beautiful! location was not too deep into the Medina, easily reachable via Bab Boujloud and the Batha post. Our room was on the top floor, next to the terrace and the rooftop seating. Bathroom with bidet for the toilet is a rare finding!! Dinner we had was fantastic and breakfast were nice and varies everyday, still traditional and adequate portion.

The bathroom stall did not drained properly. Merzouga room was super tight, with small window on top floor, climbing the stairs with a luggage was a challenge if not helped by the staff.

Great friendly staff. We were greeted by Mohammad who gave us an informative presentation on Fez, what to do and what not to do. Eman and Mustafa were wonderful— always smiling and ready to answer our questions and help. They were joyful and made our stay very pleasant. They speak English and communication was easy. The chef Nezah (not sure I am spelling the name right), is an excellent cook. Eat here at least one meal. Rooms were cleaned and Towels changed everyday

I did not take their tours. But other guests we met booked a 3 hour walking tour but was taken on a 5 hour tour and the guide demanded the price for the 5 hour even when they left after 3 hours. Riad Farah should look into this. There are a lot of stairs to climb if your room is on the top floor. But I think that’s true of all or most Riads.

Nadir and his team are excellent hosts. They arranged pick up at the train station for us and walked us to the Riad. All the staff we dealt with were very friendly and seemed to genuinely care about our experience at their property. The location of this Riad near the Blue Gate is excellent and right in the hustle of the largest Medina in the world. The room was as described on booking.com. The property is quite old but it's well kept and part it's charm. We loved having breakfast on the rooftop terrace which had a great view of the medina and surrounding areas. Hosts prepared a nice takeaway breakfast for us since we had an early start when checking out.

Pros: very easy to find from the blue gate of the medina (clear instructions and signs, quick walk, safe area), friendly staff, clean rooms, very good breakfast and lunch (the breakfast was included, lunch and dinner were affordable), staff are friendly and flexible with requests and checkin and out times and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of, beautiful terrace on the roof with a nice view, mint tea is complimentary and really good Cons: mostly nitpicky stuff, but: the rooms aren't very soundproofed so if you have an issue with noise and go to bed early it can be a challenge; however the quiet time after 11 is respected. We did have to remind staff a couple times that they promised us a to go breakfast, there was some language confusion. The shower head took some getting used to but worked fine But overall I would highly recommend riad Farah as an affordable comfortable and safe option for your stay

The riad’s intimate size makes it feel like a private retreat, offering a level of calm and seclusion that larger hotels can’t replicate. The staff at Riad Farah was exceptional. They greeted us with a refreshing glass of mint tea upon arrival and provided personalized service throughout our stay. They went above and beyond to ensure every need was met—whether it was helping with directions, arranging transport, or recommending the best local eateries. Their warmth and attention to detail truly made the experience unforgettable. Special thanks to Omar, Maria and Anuar who made our stay the most beautiful of all Riad experiences in Morocco! Furthermore, one of the most wonderful experiences was the cooking class we took with Chef Omar! Very recommended! He did not only show us the art of cooking with a Tajine but went to the market with us, sharing his insightful knowledge about Morocco and the Amazigh culture. A very warm-hearted THANK YOU for this special experience!

On the first evening the heating of our air-conditioning device did not work. The staff took care of it and it was repaired quickly.

Before diving into the more "technical" aspects, we must first highlight the outstanding experience at Riad Farah, thanks to its incredible manager, Mohammed. A person of rare kindness and exceptional courtesy, Mohammed went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Always smiling, helpful, and attentive, he managed to solve every issue with ease and a positive attitude. His excellent command of English allowed him to not only explain the rich history of Fez and Moroccan culture but also offer valuable advice on where to find authentic traditional products. We were even fortunate enough to learn how to prepare Moroccan tea with him! Without a doubt, Mohammed was the best host we encountered during our travels, and by the end of our stay, he had become a true friend. ❤️ Now, turning to the more "technical" aspects: The Riad: While the Riad may not boast the grandiose scale of a "thousand-and-one-night" palace, it is undeniably beautiful and exudes a charming, authentic atmosphere that perfectly complements the surrounding Medina. Its intimate size only added to its allure, making it feel like a hidden gem. Location: The location was absolutely ideal for exploring the Medina. Situated right next to the Madrasa Bou Inania, it was easily accessible from both main streets of the Medina, and very convenient for reaching the Blue Door, which made transportation a breeze. Cleanliness: We were thoroughly impressed by the cleanliness of the Riad. Everything was impeccably tidy, and fresh towels were provided daily. It was clear that attention to detail was a top priority. Breakfast: The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had during our travels—traditional, generous, and satisfying. It offered a wonderful variety and set the tone for a perfect start to each day. Plus, the terrace view, overlooking the Madrasa, was a delightful touch.

Wonderful riad where you can have an exceptional experience. The staff was very helpful and attentive a great thanks to mohammed and abdo. The riad was very clean with a beautiful rooftop where you can drink your tea and enjoying the sunset, also breakfast was great and varied, while the riad is lmost 5 minutes to the (bleu gate) the main entrance and well located, as well as the explanations that the staff provides, you can have a great visit in the heart of the medina. Dinner was also fantastic, very delicious, and meets our expectations. Thank you so much Raid Farah for this wonderful stay, we will be back again❤️

If I could give more stars, I absolutely would! My stay at Riad Farah was hands down the best experience I’ve had in Morocco. This beautiful riad, located right in the heart of the Medina, is incredibly easy to find. Mohammad, Omar, and the entire team are truly amazing. They go above and beyond to help you get settled in, offer great recommendations for places to visit, and arrange any trips or activities you’re interested in. They work tirelessly to ensure your stay is nothing short of perfect. Staying here feels more like being welcomed into a family than just booking a place to sleep. The riad is impeccably clean, and the breakfast is absolutely delicious. Plus, the view from the rooftop is simply breathtaking! Make sure to book a cooking class with Omar during your stay he’s incredible! He’ll take you to the market to shop for the freshest ingredients, teach you about finding the best spices, and share fascinating insights into Moroccan history and traditions. A huge thank you to everyone at Riad Farah for making my stay unforgettable. I can’t wait to return someday!

The Riad is fantastic, in the heart of the historic centre, close to taxis etc. It is a heritage building, very well maintained.and nicely decorated, super clean and peaceful, smelling like orange blossoms and with quality Arabic music playlist in the atrium! Mr. Mustafa, the young concierge of the night shift who also serves the breakfast, is very kind, professional, well mannered and knows the job well. He was always there to help us out, to listen and answer to our questions and accommodate our needs. The room is spacious and very pretty, comfortable and warm due to the A.C., also with enough blankets, duvet etc. The breakfast was good (it had freshly squeezed orange juice and a small omelette, olives, marmalade, honey, Nutella, butter, tea, coffee and a lot of bread in different types). We would recommend Riad Farah and we're looking forward to visiting again!

The breakfast could have been richer, i.e. with less different types of bread and instead some fruit or cheese. The bathroom was a bit cold and the water pressure was uneven, often alternating between hot and cold.

My sister and I had the most wonderful stay at this Riad in Fez—it truly felt like a home away from home. Miriam and Abdul were exceptional hosts, going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Nothing was ever too much trouble; whatever we needed, they made it happen. By the time we left, it felt like we were saying goodbye to friends. The location is perfect, just a 3-5 minute walk from the iconic Blue Gate, making it so convenient to explore the Medina. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was a highlight—such a beautiful setting to start the day. On two mornings when we had early starts, they even prepared takeaway breakfasts for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you’re visiting Fez, do yourself a favor and stay here!

Two points: - the bed was quite hard/firm. - we had some issues with warm water in the shower although as soon as we told them they fixed it as soon as possible
