Staying at Dar Tahri & Spa was an amazing experience from the beginning till the end. The check-in was quickly and smooth, the payment process was transparent. The room itself was nice and clean, it smelled plesantly of cedar since the most of the furniture was made of it. The bathroom was big enough and had a good ventilation, which is important cause the hotel has a swimming pool on the rooftop and so we dried our swimsuits easily. Another highlight of the hotel is a traditional homemade Moroccan breakfast. It served with freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee and the best mint tea we had in Morocco. I also highly recommend to visit the hammam of the hotel. It's deeply relaxing after the long walks in old medina. Many thanks to all the hotel team for the great service and particularly to Aziz for his hospitality.

There's truly nothing to complain about.

The location is excellent, right in the heart of the medina. Breakfast was probably the most sumptuous of our fortnight's road trip around Morocco, made even more wonderful when we were allowed to eat it on the beautiful terrace - the undoubted jewel in the crown of this otherwise traditional and formal and quite dark dar - with spectacular views. Thanks to the staff for this, which was the high point of our stay. Serving drinks or snacks on the terrace would make this place perfect.

The management no longer routinely serves breakfast outside, as shown in some of the pics, and while they agreed to serve us there, we were made to feel slightly uncomfortable when asking. It is a lot of steps, agreed, but it made our stay special. Take off those pics if you don't want people to expect this!

The Riad was beautiful and so was our room! And the rooftop balcony was amazing- such a great view! The breakfast was delicious and the front staff were so friendly and helpful. The cleaners were also so friendly and kind. The location is superb - just in from the blue gates and easy to navigate too. I would recommend anyone staying here, to pack light as there’s no elevator and the stairs can be a challenge. The shampoo/soap provided was lovely.

Our room had a bit of a funky smell to it- although I think it was because something was freshly varnished/painted or it was the Ceder wood, it wasn’t terrible but our daughter definitely complained about it.

Very handy location, easy to find near the Blue Gate. Great communication both prior to our arrival and while staying here. We could use WhatsApp for any questions or concerns and staff answered really quickly. The breakfast on the rooftop patio was incredible. There was a lot of food and it tasted delicious. Breakfast starts at 8:30am but on some of the days we needed to be out earlier than that- Aziz kindly put together a packed lunch for us to take with us which was much appreciated. He also sorted transport to get us to the airport. The driver was lovely, and Aziz walked us out of the medina to make sure we met up with the correct driver. We felt very welcome and looked after here, I highly recommend staying in this riad!

Absolutely beautiful Riad, in a great location. The photos on the booking site do not do it justice. Omar and Aziz were super helpful and very friendly. The breakfast (included) was delicious and plentiful, with lots of homemade produce. Lovely terraces, overlooking the medina and small but nice pool to cool off in ( large beach towels provided). The bedrooms (we stayed in 2 different ones) were lovely, with crisp linen and comfy beds. Air-conditioning was much needed and very effective. We cannot recommend this Riad enough! Thank you for a wonderful stay 😊😊

Nothing to say!

We had a very good time here, everything was perfect! The Riad is located in the heart of the Medina, it is very clean, the staff is friendly and the breakfast was excellent. We also had a Moroccan salad on the beautiful rooftop in the evening with great views over Fes. Apart from this we cannot be thankful enough for the great help we received by the guys managing the Riad. We got badly scammed by someone who we paid for a parking spot. When we wanted to leave it turned out that our rental car was impounded. One of the guys from the Riad instantly helped us with everything (pound, police, paperwork). He stayed with us for the whole procedure which took lots of hours until we had our car back. With his help we even managed to find the scammer and get our money back. Thanks again for your help!

Nothing.

The Riad is located right in the heart of the Medina. The rooftop terrace with pool is fantastic – a great place to relax from the hustle and bustle of the streets below. Our room was a bit small with limited storage space, but it was very clean, and the bathroom was beautifully designed and well equipped. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The staff were all very friendly and always in a good mood. Small downside: this was the only Riad during our entire trip through Morocco where we weren’t welcomed with a glass of mint tea.

At Riad Dar Tahri we had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the charming setting of the Fes Medina. The staff is extremely kind, helpful, and always attentive to detail. Breakfast is rich and plentiful. The rooms are well air-conditioned and cleaned daily with great care. In the evening, the terrace is the perfect place to relax and spend some peaceful time. When we return to Fes, we will definitely choose this place again.

1. Very tastefully decorated, with an eye to authentic Moroccan style. 2. Amazing staff 3. Classical Moroccan breakfast (too big) If it's you first time to Fez, ask Taxi to drop you at Blue Gate. Cant drive up to the Riad because it's inside old city (Alternatively book a ride through the hotel) Have to be prepared to drag your bags about 200m from Blue Gate to the hotel or get one of the porters to carry them

Hard to find for the first time. Google directions were good, but due to narrow alleyways, keep losing gps signal and missing turns. However, once you have found it, much easier second time around

Beautifully decorated guest house with the best rooftop terrace yet. Helpful and accommodating staff and a pleasant (but basic) hammam experience. Great location in the middle of the medina, a stone's throw away from the Blue Gate.

Our first night, our top floor room was under the terrace swimming pool and there was intermittent (every 15 minutes) humming/buzzing noise loud enough to keep my wife up all night (but not me). The manager was nice enough to switch us to a different room the next morning :)
