Our stay in Riad la Rose Ortientale was wonderful. We were a group of 4 adults - myself, my husband and my parents, having 2 of the 4 rooms. The rooms are spacious and very well equipped, and the whole of the Riad is sumptuously decorated. The breakfast was lovely and generous with traditional Moroccan crepes, breads and cakes. Lassan really took care of us all - from meeting us at our transfer taxi (booked through the hotel) to help with our bags, to bringing up trays of mint tea whenever we went up to the rooftop terrace. He really looked after my parents and was very helpful and friendly. He really made our stay very special. I would highly recommend this Riad. The Riad could be difficult to find on your own so I recommend taking the transfer organised by the hotel as they meet you at the taxi and take you to the hotel.

The position of the hotel is within the thriving old town however, the narrow pedestrian walkway that the hotel entrance is off is extremely quiet and so you are detached from the chaos and fun of the old town, but only 3 minutes from walking straight into it. The small rooftop area gives clear views across the rooftops of the buildings around the town and considering how close you are to some of the action (so to speak) it is very peaceful up there. The owner/staff were extremely helpful, attentive and friendly and made us feel very welcome from the minute we arrived until we left. Our room was very comfortable with all of the necessary facilities apart from a seat/settee which we had thought might be in there but it was no big deal as we got up and had breakfast, went out and got back late in the evening. Breakfast was very nice and enough to set you up for the day, the hotel was very clean, very well presented and basically it was a great place to be and to then go out and explore the town. We are unlikely to re-visit Marrakech as we like to try different places however, if we did we would re-book here without hesitation.

This is not a complaint or negative comment but in our searching for a Riad to stay in we looked at loads and the choosing of this one came on the back of the many previous positive reviews along with us seeing that it had a pool. It does have a pool, however, it is only a dipping pool and not one that you could swim in but, as it happens we would not have had the time to use it anyway. It would be a great place to cool down on a hot day (we were there in cooler temperatures)

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Riad La Rose Orientale. It really was the perfect place to start our 9 day visit to Morocco and we were in good hands from the minute their driver picked us up at the airport. The manager (Lasan) and entire staff were so kind and helpful, and always went out of their way to make us our two young children feel right at home. Breakfast in the beautiful courtyard was a highlight, with a variety of delicious options and incredibly attentive service. The location is quiet and safe and well situated for exploring the medina by foot. We can't wait to stay here again next time we're in Marrakesh!

The pool wasn't heated so we were unable to enjoy it during our visit in early spring.

Great location, located in the heart of the Medina. Minutes away by foot from the big Jemaa El Fna square and other main attractions. Countless souks around the property. A great way to discover local culture. We especially want to call out the hospitality and kindness of Larcène (sorry if I spelled his name wrong). He is extremely helpful, always in good mood, and looks out for us. We can't express enough our gratitude.

I recently stayed at Riad La Rose Orientale from January 15th to January 19th, and my experience was outstanding. The riad is visually charming and impeccably clean. My family and I stayed in the family room, which was spacious and included a queen-size bed, a single bed for our daughter, and a private bathroom. Our room was tidied daily, and fresh towels were always provided. The staff was exceptional, assisting us with transportation to and from the airport, which was greatly appreciated. The riad's location is very convenient, just a 15-minute walk from the main square, Jemaa Al Fna, and only 5 minutes from the entrance of a Souk. Furthermore, there are excellent restaurants within a 5 to 10-minute walk. The highlight of our stay was Lassan, who went above and beyond to make our visit special. He warmly greeted us upon arrival, helped with our luggage, and welcomed us with snacks and delicious tea. Lassan provided us with insightful recommendations for places to eat and offered valuable advice on navigating the city. He was incredibly attentive, ensuring all our needs were met including the tea he makes which I became obsessed with lol. On one occasion, we had an early tour and didn't expect to have breakfast. However, Lassan kindly arranged a to-go breakfast for us, starting his workday early to accommodate our schedule. Similarly, when we departed for the airport at 3:30 AM, he was there to assist with our bags, ensure we had food, and personally escort us to our taxi. I have traveled extensively, and I must say that I have rarely encountered someone as attentive and caring as Lassan. I highly recommend staying at this riad, not only for its convenient location but also for the exceptional customer service, especially from Lassan, and his tea!!! Almost forgot, we arranged four tours during our trip, all of which picked us up just two minutes from the riad, highlighting its great location.

Breakfast was delicious and the location was really convenient to downtown/the souks, etc. Everything was beautifully decorated and the owners were fabulous about making sure we had everything we needed. There's a lovely pool typical to a nice riad that is right in the center of the building that I managed to step right into it, fully clothed, backpack on my back at the moment of our arrival! The owner was great about it, and we joked about it the rest of the time every I walked past it. There was always someone there when we came and went, and they were willing to help out in any way. The deck on top of the building is also lovely and has a beautiful view out over Marrakech.

The location is great, but surprising -- it's down a long alleyway that's not the most inviting place in the world, but then the doorway opens into the lovely riad. There seem to be a few riads in that same alley, so it's probably not all that unusual, we have just never been to Morocco so everything was new to us.

Everything about the riad was great!! Rooms were spacious and comfortable with everything you could need for your stay. Lovely rooftop area to relax in the sun. Great location with all sites easily accessible. Breakfast was lovely and the riad itself was beautiful. We received tea and snacks on arrival which was a nice touch. The whole riad was incredibly clean and tidy with good WiFi. Our room was cleaned each day. The owners were so friendly and welcoming and made our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend staying here.

Honestly nothing

This small riad is located in the heart of the medina and is within easy walking distance of all the central sights of Marrakech including the big main square. We had a rental car which we were able to park for 10 euros a day close to the riad. The owners of the riad (Sabah and Erick) and their staff were all really friendly and helpful. Special mention should go to Lahsan, who ministered to our every need, and Rabia, whose excellent cooking of dinner we enjoyed twice. The riad is beautifully decorated and our room was very comfortable. Sabah was most generous to us. If I could give her a score of 12 out of 10 I would! We stayed for a total of 6 nights, with a 4 night excursion to Ouarzazate and Merzouga in the middle.

We did not have internet access on our phones when we drove from the airport to the riad, which made it tricky to find. If you are making your own way there, be sure to have the navigational tools you need!

We were travelling from London for 10 days stay at Marrakech & Fes. The Riad was absolutely excellent in its service. We were well looked after during our 5-day stay with excellent food, WiFi, warm showers, arranging taxis, and even help with washing & drying our clothes. The hostess and the support staff were both incredibly helpful. Highly recommend staying at this fantastic establishment.

The location of Riad La Rose Orientale was amazing. It was a short 3 minute walk to one entrance to the Souk and had some very nice restaurants around it. We were incredibly well looked after by Lahsane who went out of his way to get some gluten free bread for my and was always very kind and attentive, while Najate left our rooms spotless every time. We would 100% recommend this Riad if you are staying in Marrakech.
