The staff were super friendly and helpful. Fantastic location and loved the sun terrace with the pool and 4 tortoises. Breakfast was lovely and they even got up early on our last day and made a breakfast at 5am for us. They also booked us a taxi to the airport and walked us to the parking area to meet the taxi.... All before 6am! Our stay was during Euro 24, and we got to watch some of the games with the staff in the leisure room. We made a mistake at our previous Riad in Fés and left without paying for the evening meal, due to very early leaving time and rushing. The staff at Riad Chams helped us to transfer the payment to the other Riad, which isn't easy to do from a British bank account. But the best staff member by far.... the hotel kitty! (If you aren't a cat person, lock your door before bed as she can open them and sneak in during the night. We loved having her curled up on the bed, but may not be for everyone).

The staff wouldn't allow me to take the kitty home with us!! The alleyway leading in is bit dark at night and could be a bit scary. But, please remember, this is Marrakesh and all the riads are located in areas like this in the old city, in fact every riad we stayed in very city in Morocco were like this. The alley way was perfectly safe day and night. The alleyways are like this all over the city, it's part of the charm and the reason you came to the city!

The Riad is located in the Old Medina, making it that all the main attractions in Marrakech are walking distance. They arranged our shuttle from the airport (for 15€) which served us perfectly! As soon as the shuttle drop us off at the square near the Riad, Youssef (one of the AMAZING staff) was there to take us from the square to the Riad. Now, what really made our trip special were the Staff of this Riad. Youssef and Khalid are the most welcoming and lovely hosts one can ask for!! I can’t stress this enough, as they really made our trip special. Everyone in the Riad is always available to help in any circumstances. We can only recommend this Riad to everyone who is visiting Marrakech, you won’t regret it :) P.s.: you’ll also be presented with the cuttest cat :)

As soon as you enter Riad Chams you are transported to a unique, relaxing and romantic atmosphere. Khalid, Youssef, Ali and Khaima (the beautiful cat), with their kindness and awesome hospitality make you feel completely at home. The riad is very clean and tidy, with a cozy feel and Moroccan character. The hammam bath was also an experience to remember. Thank you for making our stay in Marrakech so enjoyable and memorable!

The street that leads to the Riad may look a bit scary the first time, but you easily get you used to it the next day, no need to worry.

We loved our stay here! Beautiful riad conveniently located in the Medina. The courtyard is a lovely, peaceful space to enjoy breakfast. Also really liked the rooftop with cosy seats to relax and a small plunge pool to effectively combat the heat. The bed was comfy and the air con worked very well. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The breakfast had some nice daily variations, and the fresh orange juice was exceptional! The cat is really sweet. I had read some reviews about the inconvenience of having to walk a dark lane to get to the Riad, but we found the walk to the main roads very short. It didn't really bother us that it was somewhat dark; it felt safe.

I wished they had given us a key for the front door. Instead, we had to knock every time which felt a bit like an inconvenience, especially when coming back late. Also wished we had a full-size or larger mirror in the room (applying makeup was a bit of a challenge).

This is a little gem of a riad. Tucked in a nondescript passageway, once inside you are surrounded by first class hospitality. Ali, Youssef, and Khalid go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and like family. And the food is amazing! I ordered dinner in all 3 nights of my stay and was delighted each time. Eat on the luxurious rooftop and feel spoiled. 😊 And Khaifa is adorable. 💕

Riad Chams is located in some twisty passageways. If you’re not familiar with the area it’s easy to feel lost, and one spot is particularly dark at night. The staff will be happy to help you, so ask for assistance if you’re unsure.

Had a wonderful stay at Riad Chams Marrakech! The room was comfortable and clean, the rooftop terrace was beautiful, breakfast was great, and the place was all in all very tranquil! Khalid, Ali, Youssef, the ladies, and of course Khaima (the cat), were all so great and welcoming and made me feel safe and taken care of! They were extremely attentive and always ready to answer any questions I had! I had a room on the ground floor on the courtyard and wasn’t really bothered by any noise.

All the staff there were fantastic; both helpful and kind, starting from airport pickup and continuing the whole time. Breakfast every day at the riad was a delight. (Generally bread, butter, jam, olives, orange juice, coffee or tea, and every day they had some additional item, such as pain au chocolat, fruit salad, crepes, etc). We also got dinner there twice, and they were great at accommodating my vegetarianism, plus the food was *so good*. I think the best we had our entire time in Marrakesh. The common space on the roof (both third and fourth floor) was comfortable and a great, relaxing place to spend some quiet time or chat with others there. The room was comfortable, the window looking out on the courtyard was very pleasant. Location is great for going around to the local market areas, and we spent the whole time basically on foot going around the old city.

Nothing I can think of? I would stay here again in a heartbeat if I return to Marrakech.

Friendly staff that also gives you good advice for sightseeing of Marrakesh. Interior is clean and beautiful. They also have a very friendly cat that is part of the staff and is the star of the show. Breakfast is great, and staff is happy to accommodate even the picky eaters like us. Location is well placed, so we didn't need taxi or public transport while staying her, as everything is reachable by foot.

This Riad is a fantastic place. It's a bit hidden, but very quiet and central, walking distance to everywhere. After 5 days you know almost everyone in the hood, all friendly people. Very dedicated hotel managers, all 3 super nice and helpful, fluent in English. Small breakfast, but daily changing and something of everything (no buffet but individual, which I really appreciate). Super nice roof terrace with lounge corner and loungers. I would stay here again at any time, excellent value for money and no comparison to all the big standard hotels, staying in a riad IS Marrakech.

The room facing the patio is perhaps a little more noisy than others, which of course depends on the guests...

My stay at the riad made my trip. Loved every minute of my stay. Khalid, Ali and Youssef, the team that run the riad were excellent, made me feel welcome, arranged a trips and gave some great advice. Pleasure to spend time with also and get to know. As a solo traveller, often can be uneasy staying on your own but the team were brilliant. Beautiful terraces to ensure a cup of mint tea too!

Didn’t stay longer - could have spent another week there.
