Cozy Riad in the middle of the Medina, very close to the souks, Dar el Bacha and other tourist attraction. Extremely friendly and respectful staff. They accommodated when we needed to have breakfast early. When we arrived they gave us a really good introduction about the Medina, prices of the souks, taxis and tourist attractions to avoid any surprises. They gave us their phone number so we could ask if we had any concerns and they were very responsive. Rooms are big and comfortable. They are nicely decorated. Breakfast at the rooftop was very romantic. We ended up asking to stay one more night. Excellent place to stay for a couple

The following comments are not about the Riad, but in staying in any Riad inside the Medina. Your taxi will not be able to drop you off at the Riad as the streets are very narrow. The taxi will drop you off and you will need to walk for 5 minutes. Easy to get lost the first time, but you can use your phone. Secondly, the Riad is very quiet and peaceful. Outside there are several mosques around the Medina, so you will need to be prepared about night prayer. Again this will happen in any Riad inside the Medina. Some people may find it annoying, but for us it added to the charm.

Dar Rocmarra is located in the medina but far away enough from the noise and crowds. It was hard to find initially so locals had to help me find it. Once found, it was an absolute delight. Jamila and her team provided a wonderful service. Breakfast included a variety of delicious foods that left me full and energised for a day of exploring. The room was very comfortable. Dar Rocmarra was a beautiful haven after a day of wondering around Marrakech.

I was in the ground level room next to the courtyard. It was noisy on a couple of nights when guests arrived or returned for the day and took a while to settle in or down. Perhaps advice could be given to guests to be quiet when in the courtyard and to be mindful of other guests staying at Dar Rocmarra.

This beautiful accommodation is a credit to Jumila who manages it with the assistance of Jalil and Latifah. There is nothing that they will not do to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The rooms are very clean and the bed was ultra comfortable. Breakfast was gorgeous up on the rooftop. We stayed for 4 nights with a 5 day desert tour in the middle of those. Jamila allowed us to leave most of our luggage with her and had our laundry washed and pressed and ready for us on our return. She then took our new load of washing from the desert and did the same. This was so convenient for us. Very reasonable charges for the laundry.

Great location, (easy to find in the maze of Marrakech!)Beautiful room, a lovely and very quiet place close to everything but at the same time a world away! Jamila is an amazing hostess... great communication leading up to our stay and once there, she was so gracious and attentive to our every need and question. She knew we were arriving late and was more than happy to prepare a late dinner for us. She called cabs, communicated with our driver and had someone meet as at the drop off location to help us with her luggage. She truly made us feel like special guests in "her home" Thank you!

The primary value of this riad lies in its management; Jamila is a force of nature: a solid manager and an excellent cook, and her colleagues Jalil and Latifa are no less impressive with their professionalism and discretion. The riad is beautiful and has been renovated with respect for local traditions. Our room (the berber one) was lovely and impeccably maintained by Latifa. What else more? Oh, yes, Jamila's coffee is undoubtedly the best in all of Morocco and her chili is... well... try it ;-) Cheers from Alessandro and Simonetta

This is not a critique of how the hotel is managed, but of the economic policy decided by the owner: there is a 2% surcharge for paying with a credit card. I understand that this is a common practice in Morocco, but from a property like this, I would have expected a clear notice on Booking or a notification via e-mail or through Booking's messaging system.

Beautiful riad, very well maintained and staff were very friendly - Jamilla, Latifa and Jalil could not do enough for you!! Ideally located in the Medina, rooms were kept clean, the breakfast was great on the roof top terrace. We had an evening meal on the first night cooked by Jamilla - Tagine was delicious!! If it wasn't for exploring and trying different restaurants we would have gladly eaten here every evening. The staff, raid and location made it a very enjoyable vacation in Marrakech - we will be returning in due course. Many thanks

We stayed four nights with ease. Great location and easy to find once you found it once! Our flight was delayed resulting in a very late arrival (1am) we were met off the taxi and walked down. We slept in the following morning and missed breakfast but they kindly made up one for us. Staff were super attentive and welcoming. As helpful as they possibly could. Jamil and jalil were two we dealt with. Very personalised five star service. Breakfast was lovely. On the havanna every morning. Tea, pastry, pancakes, omelettes, fresh bread, yogurt, fruit, and it changed daily. The room was spotless. And cleaned every day to perfection. Our clothes tidied away. Left money for the cleaner but she didn’t take it so left a tip with a note when we were leaving. Felt very safe, private and quiet. I will recommend to anyone who is going.

We really liked everything about Dar Rocmarra. Strategic location. Rooms are beautifully prepared and regularly cleaned. We stayed for 6 nights during winter and all the facilities to make our stay comfortable were available and function well. Breakfast was always delicious. When the weather was warm, breakfast on the roof was lovely. All the staff were exceptionally helpful and kind. Would like to give a big shoutout to Jamilla and Jalil who have helped to make our stay very much enjoyable :)

Had a lovely stay in the Sahara room. The staff were exeptional, very helpful and friendly and worked hard keeping everything clean, with a lovely breakfast as well. Just a 10 minute walk to the attractions. The roof terrace is lovely to relax after the hustle and bustle of the medina. We will definitely be back

Jamilla and Jabil are the best hosts, always making sure we have everything we need. The fresh breakfast every day on the rooftop is just the best way to start the day. The location is absolutely the best. 2 streets away from the lively Medina streets but in a super quiet area. The homemade dinner during our first night was one of the best in our 9-day stay in Morocco. I would definitely stay again in this hotel when I come back to Marrakech.
