We absolutely loved our stay with Abdul and his family. He made us feel so welcome and gave us many tips on how to make our tagines at home, some directions for our walks and lots of facts about Berber culture and language. The food was delicious, we loved the cinnamon honey and local homemade butter with breakfast and the lemon chicken tagine was the best we've had in Morocco and all the ingredients were from the gardens outside. The bedroom was so comfy and had a great on-suite bathroom and the views from outside the window of the mountain and the river were stunning. Todra has been our favourite place in Morroco and we will definitely be back to stay with Abdul again. Thank you so much 🙏

Wonderful value for the price. Very friendly, helpful host with great French and English (some Spanish too) language abilities. Parking is just off the main road and help is offered with your bags if the quick walk back to the entrance is needed. From the guest house it's a quick not even ten minute walk to the most stunning part of the gorge. Breakfasts were good and provided happily at the time I requested. I was shown from the beautiful terrace that overlooks the area where the hiking path was and given a printed map to help along the way for the 3+ hour scenic trek (also used a hiking app to map it on my phone). The host's family also has a workshop where wool is carded, spun, and woven. Many beautiful examples of rugs are available along with a few garments of clothing. Because these rugs are made right here, with some traded with other local workers... The pricing eliminates the middlemen and you can make out very well if you're in the market for these completely hand crafted artisan creations. That workshop is just a few doors away from the guest house. I'm so glad I stayed here

got here at night time around 9’sh pm we contacted Abdul to see if will be possible to have dinner ready ,the answer yes , we park easy up on the road 🅿️ like 20 meters or less walk down check if it was possible to drive down , glad 🙂 we parked up there that was the spot ! Easy short walk ! Dinner was delicious! Go upstairs to the room ! Through the window see the stars and the siluet of the Mountain! We had no idea was dark Outside can hear beautiful nature singing into the night ❤️,it was like you sleeping in the jungle , Great Family. Place is clean , clean .

A wonderful place in its simple approach. A nice berber family that make room for you in their house. Don't expect great facilities but it is all clean and convenient. And very well priced. You feel your money is making a difference to the hosts. The generous approach is seen in the meals they serve. Large portions, very well cooked, delicious, cheap. Much better than other places with airs of luxury, in our experience anyway.

Some people may not like the synthetic feel of the bed sheets. It's not a big deal and is something that could be easily fixed.

The views from the room and the rooftop are outstanding across the gorge. The hotel itself is in the perfect location for hiking in the gorge as it’s within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable, we were even given a little heater. Abdul made us feel very welcome, offering tips about the surrounding area too 😊

We had dinner at the hotel and the meal was very over priced. It was delicious, but the most expensive meal we have had in Morocco and nothing spectacular

Great location, walking distance to gorge. Abdul was so kind and gave us great suggestions for family activities (hikes, exploring the palmerie and more)! Food was also very delicious, I highly recommend dinner here!

Everything was great. The only difficulty was the local village children who were very persistent in asking us for dirhams or for food. While it can feel like the right thing to give them your pocket money, we were advised not to do this, as parents will then sometimes pull kids out of school and have them ask tourists for money all day. It was emotionally difficult to say no, but donate money to a local school or NGO instead. Be prepared for children to approach you when you arrive.

Host was very welcoming and even bithered yo make us dinner, even though we had arrived quite late. I must say the tagine that he provided was amazing. We also had to leave quite early, and he was very kind and insistent to serve us breakfast, even though it was 6:00. Terrace views were really nice of the gorge.

Unfortunately the loo was a bit too small for me (I'm 6ft 3). My knees would hit the wall in front and was literally no space to navigate around.

I felt like being the part of the family. The food was home made, when it was ready they just called up: Zsofiiiiaaaa thee fooood is reeeaaady! Exactly like at home 🤩 The food was delicious, you could taste, that is was made with a lot of love! 🥰 The children have been running up and down the stairs like me and my brother did when we were jung and they were really curious who is there. 😊 They were very sweet. Abduls nephew showed me the mountains and we had a really nice day hiking. I'm very grateful for the whole experience. 😊🙏

Great homestay, the family lives downstairs and they welcomed us when we arrived. The place is really easy to find, we parked the car on the main road at the sign pointing the homestay and walked 20m from there. The view from the room and the terrace is really nice and it take about 12min to walk to the gorges so it's great to explore at sunrise :) The breakfast was nice as well.

Absolutely the best Riad in Todra Gorge! Walking distance to the canyon, beautiful view from the terrace and very kind and friendly owner with his family. I was there several times ...and I can't imagine changing this place to another ❤️ a part of stunning views and beautiful, authentic Berber decorations the food that we had was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!
