The Bay View Resort Hotel was exceptional and exceeded all of our expectations. When you first arrive you'll be stunned by the incredible, unobstructed view from every area of the Resort including your room! The staff went above and beyond for anything we needed including assisting in scheduling activities, visits to Swakopmund, airport transfer, and more. The room was clean with great ocean views and comfortable furniture. The restaurant on site, Salt, and the 6th floor Bar were delicious. We enjoyed several meals and sunset drinks - all exceptional. The location is ideal between Walvis Bay and Swakopmund allowing you to explore both areas easily. We looked forward to returning to the Resort each evening from our daily activities. We enjoyed walks on the beach, cocktails on the green, watching the ships headed to the port, and the spa. The team at Bay View Resort Hotel made our trip one to remember and one we hope to have again soon!

The view from our room, AMAZING. Our room was quite spacious and very clean. The staff were all very welcoming and so friendly. We were able to book excursions through recommendations from the staff and we managed to do quad biking and Sandwich Harbour tour which is both a MUST. The Salt Restaurant downstairs. The food and drinks were lovely. We had breakfast there in the morning as well as dinner and they never disappointed. The best part of this hotel is really it's people. They were so warm. Because it was Easter they even organised an Easter Hunt for the kids. My little one enjoyed it!

We had issues with the drainage of the shower as well as the TV not switching on/off from the couch. You had to stand at the tv for it to work.

He even introduced us to Kapana (a must-try local delicacy)! But the excellence didn’t stop there—the entire team was phenomenal! From housekeeping, to the barmen at the Skybar, the amazing waitstaff at Salt Restaurant, to the groundsman ensuring our cabana was perfectly set up—each and every person made our honeymoon unforgettable.

Our room was very spacious (more like an apartment, including kitchen) with a beautiful view on the ocean, including sunset!

The location of the hotel is 20 min drive outside of Swakopmund in a new development. It's not a negative, but when you book It you ned to realise this. We had our own car so it was not an issue. Going out for dinner is not advised (also bot by the hotel staff), it requires a 20 min drive back to Swakopmund and the only roads to town is very dangerous at night. There is a lot of drunk-driving and there are at least 3 markings of fatal car crashes along the road (seen them myself).

Quiet location, beautiful room, well decorated with comfortable furniture, and very clean. Appreciated the layout of having a single bed separate from the main area which provided a semi privacy for my teenager. Loved the fully glass wall that could open to enjoy the ocean breeze and view. The bar at the top of the hotel was lovely as was the restaurant on the ground floor. The included breakfast came with generous portions and was delicious. The staff was extremely kind and accommodating, providing great service. It was nice to have the option of gated, secured parking. Would definitely stay again.

Minor inconveniences-WiFi was disabled for a short time as was the water supply (not at the same time) but the staff worked quickly to resolve each issue. The elevator is small and a bit slow, particularly Sunday morning when several customers were checking out at the same time. The floor above was loud on Saturday night until quite late (was either the bar or the penthouse) and something to consider regarding room location requests within the hotel. The neighborhood around the hotel is still being constructed with only a gas station convenience store nearby. If you need additional items, you must plan ahead or drive to Walvis or Swakopmund.

1. They forgot to put towels in my room 2. Inclusion of the iron in the room could have been helpful. 3. The mirrors are almost hidden , I had to walk all the way towards the bathroom. 4. Presence of potters in the hotel could assist 5. The restaurant was short staffed and there wee delays in attendance of our orders 6. Squeezed restaurant more especially in the morning 7. Outside parking might risk the clients’ car

Its location is perfect at the beach front, mid way between Walvis Bay and Swakopmund. The rooms are very clean and spacious and worth the price. The staff is also very helpful from the driver who fetched me at the airport to the house help. I really enjoyed my stay with them and will do it again.

I felt the buffet breakfast was very limited and dry, maybe something to consider in the future adding beans, chicken livers and steamed veggies as part of the buffet

My room was on the 5th floor with a complete sea view. It was gorgeous. The room itself was great, big spacious and very comfortable with kettle, microwave and refrigerator. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and accommodating, both in reception and restaurant. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast is part of the package and was generous. Other meals were not included but I ate lunch there every day and had really great food every meal. The hotel is half way between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay. If you fly in, the hotel offers a shuttle service back and forth from the airport that is not expensive. They also offer complimentary shuttle service three days a week to Swakopmund. If you like peace, quiet, solitude, this place is for you. You have the sea on one side, stunning, unspoiled beaches that go on forever, and endless desert, sand dunes on the other side. This is the perfect place to get away from the bustle of city life, breathe fresh air, hear the ocean, walk the beaches and unwind. Apart from two petrol station stores, that are fairly well stocked, and not expensive, you will find no other place to spend your money. I loved every minute of my stay, was sad to leave and will definitely go back, soon!

The hotel bathrooms were the least impressive aspect of my stay. The bathroom itself was fine with a big shower, nice size bath and attractive round wash basin. The build is not the issue, the amenities are a problem. There is a 20g soap at the basin and 1 x 10ml shampoo, 1 x 10 lotion at the shower. That’s it. No tissues, no shower cap, nothing else. Considering the star rating of this hotel I found this disappointing. The low lights in the bathroom are almost as good as no lights at all, and the shower runs for ten seconds then stops for ten, then repeats the cycle. So, the only points this hotel loses with me are all about the bathrooms

The availability of a kitchen and the view. The spaciousness and friendly staff. The room’s interior designing was lovely. Having access to Netflix on the tv was a major plus.

That there was no air conditioning in the bedrooms. With regard to staff, waitresses could receive a bit more training. E.g an order brought from the kitchen that is incorrect should be rectified once the customer mentions the mistake made

Great rooms with great sea views. Spacious and well appointed rooms. Staff are helpful even if at times they have not been adequately trained.

Breakfast / lunch/ dinner is a hit and miss affair. Sometimes good and sometimes not good. Most of the failure is linked to a lack of training so it's a management issue rather then a staffing issue which always do their best even if they get it wrong. The pool is located behind the hotel and faces the car park (not the ocean...). Location of the hotel is not great (not enough restaurants/ shops / activities within walking distance).
