Personnel is very lovely and helpful. There's someone at the reception at all times which is nice. They provide free bottled water, and there's a fountain in the kitchen to fill your bottle. The room was big and the balcony is large. Enough power plugs including close to the bed. Very convenient location at the centre of boudha in a street with almost no traffic. WiFi signal is good. Bed sheets are clean and fresh. The desk, chair and the little sofa are nice.

The walls paint could be refreshed, it's falling apart. The mattresses of my room were way too soft (I like hard mattresses) As almost everywhere in Nepal, there is no sound proofing of windows and doors. Although the street is calm, you can hear the dogs barking loudly at night and the birds and crows are extremely noisy at 3am. Sometime there are very loud motorbikes standing in the street leaving the motor turned on. You can hear them as if they're in your room. If you want a more quiet environment, choose the garden side not the street side. Internet connection was slow sometimes in the evening. The towel didn't seem very clean, it smelled weird. The door of the bathroom was broken, impossible to close it.

The backyard/garden gathering are is excellent, proximity to Boudha Stupa is amazing. But best of all are the lovely staff working here, they're all sincere and young people with great attitudes and knowledge - Sudeep is amazingly helpful. Lots of great and super cheap food places around here so I would recommend that travellers do not buy breakfast included packages, the breakfast is not bad but it's mostly the same everyday and just not that impressive considering all the awesome food available around the Boudha Stupa. Overall, I'd recommend this place highly.

I felt that the prices were high given the type of hotel that this is. It's a midrange hotel with only basic facilities available. the breakfast food is just okay. However the prices they charge might make you think the place is a couple brackets fancier than it actually is. I suspect the higher prices are because of the super close proximity to the Boudha Stupa, so in some way can be considered fair.

The place is at a very convenient location, literally a stones throw from Boudha Stupa and within walking distance of Senchen Monastery. There is a lovely Guru Padmasambhava park close by that one can spend a couple of early hours at (it got really warm post 10 am). A couple of restaurants just next door make this stay option really convenient The breakfast is simple and delicious. They start service at 8 am and it comprises cut fruit, eggs, tossed veggies, another item like puri-bhaji or cutlet etc. Coffee and tea Owners take good care and are prompt in response to request.

I spent just one night at this hotel and enjoyed my stay. I chose this place for the great location just a 5 minutes walk to the Boudha stupa. It was also quite inexpensive and the room was large and comfortable. The staff were super friendly and kind.

My room on the ground floor next to the street was a little bit noisy with sounds from the road, but it is a fairly quiet street so this wasn't a problem at night. There were mosquito screens on some windows but not all, so this is an easy improvement that could be made.

The property gate is down an alley so off the main street. Its very homey and managed by a great group of local people. Clean, comfy, hot water. Its tucked into an urban neighborhood right at a beautiful Buddha Stupa. Shops in the area have all the things needed by worshipers.; flowers, incense, candles, shawls. Many other historic sites are within an easy and interesting walk. Breakfast was traditional and self serve buffet style so convenient and no waste. Indoor and outdoor seating available; private or social.

Outside the control of this property, neighborhood dogs barked. This is Kathmandu.

stayed 10 days here in this little peaceful oasis. only 50 meters behind Boudha stupa which i wanted to be near to.Breakfast was gorgeous and plenty , breads, spreads and a cooked breakfast like potatoes, eggs and vegetables/mushrooms lightly spiced everyday. Had a room facing the garden on the 3rd floor , cleaned and quiet. Thank you to the lovely family who runs it, sukdeep and darshana….hope to see you guys soon. Oh and to jimmy n shimi the cats that made my stay even more pleasant,

If Aarya Chaitya only had either a fantastic location or incredibly wonderful staff, it would already be well worth the cost. The fact it has both, as well as a wonderful garden, perfect for sipping coffee in the morning, makes it one of the best places to stay in the Boudha area. I can't recommend Aarya Chaitya highly enough. The garden rooms are the cheapest and the nicest, in my opinion. Don't let the shared shower scare you off - it's well worth being able to wake up in the morning and step right out into the garden. The garden room is also quieter than the other rooms, which is very nice given the very loud dog barking that happens every night.

The bathroom felt a little dirty. The hose draining the sink in my room was just a tube stuck through a hole in the wall that wasn't actually at a steep enough angle for the sink to drain quickly, and there was mold on the ceiling. The room was also slightly dim. However, these are mostly minor complaints and didn't detract from my overall excellent experience staying there.

I really like this place. The staff is so nice and helpful (thanks Sudeep) and can give you suggestions about places to see, etc. Also the beds are super-comfortable (what a relief after coming from India!). And they serve a good buffet-style breakfast and have an inner courtyard area to chill in. I was pretty satisfied with the overall experience/price given all of these things (as well as AC and a TV in the room). The hotel is in Boudhananth, so it's not near the main tourist area of Thamel, but for me that was a good thing -- it's quieter and you can 'circumambulate' around the stupa every night!

Not much. Distance from some famous sites in Kathmandu (I got very used to taking taxis everywhere), but I knew that going in.

I travels the world 🌎 and have been in hundreds of hotels 🏨 This place goes on the top of mi list ever Is a peaceful place with an amazing people running the place (better imposible ) Location is the best in Katmandu just a minute walk from boudhanath stupa 🌺🌺🌺🌺 (I’m an hotel manager in mi country ) and I can recommend this place for any 1 who is looking for a love ❤️ hotel and peace ☮️. It's a quite peaceful place. There's a little garden, you can just relax there.

1. My room didn't provide bathroom, the shared bath room is just ok. One with no hot water. 2. I think it's about the position. My room has really weak wifi signal. I need to carry my laptop to the garden and work. Not every room will face this issue I guess.
