I picked Pema boutique hotel for its location as it is close to the places that I needed to be. It is on a main road that is well lit at night. The room is thoughtfully furnished with electrical outlet catering to international plugs and USB outlet for phone charging. It is also equipped with kettle, cups, glasses and hair dryer, everything that a traveler would use in a hotel room. Reception staff is courteous.

The house keeping could be improved. After a few days, I left the sign one day for the staff to change the sheets as I sweated a lot during the first few days of my stay and would like fresh sheets. The bed was made but the sheets were not changed. I repeated the same request the next day and still my sheets did not get changed. As my total length of stay is only a week, I didn't want to kick up a fuss and let it be. Perhaps the staff needs to be properly trained to respect the guest's requests. Also, during the last couple days of my stay, house keeping was really late (perhaps was not planning to come?) and I had to ask the reception twice about having the house keeping staff to go to my room to refresh it.

Central location to the stupa . The room was delightful with a full shower stall and a little balcony . It has a nice quiet and restful lobby where the food is delicious . The host Nicky and Sonam went out of their way to be hospitable and welcoming . Sonam went above the call of duty when I thought I had lost my Sun hat, checking the security to see if I had left wearing it . Nicky hired both a taxi driver and a guide , both who were stellar - kind , informative and respectful. Highly recommend staying here !

The hotel room was spacious, en-suite and had a balcony and that for £26 a night. It was really nice, I think it's great value for money. The breakfast might not be for everyone, especially those who like a rather sweet breakfast, but I loved it and every morning there was something different to choose from. The location in Bouddha is great as well. It's off the big margs and pretty close to various Tibetan Buddhist monasteries as well as Bouddhanath.

I think if you looked carefully you'd find some things in the room which could be cleaner or the walls could do with a whitewash, but it's so minor.

Excellent location. Breakfast was good and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and I slept very well in the comfy bed. Highly recommend it.

I wanted a B&B which is not expensive and in a good location. There is nothing I can complain about as it provides both.

Everything. Fantastic hotel. Very clean great food exceptional staff. Big thanks to the lovely young lady in the coffee area making a lovely coffee for me each time. Food and coffee available all day. The beds very comfortable. A great shower. I asked for a quiet area i got a quiet area. I asked for airport pickup a driver and a guide and Nicky promptly arranged it all. Jeto was fantastic very good and has great knowledge. This hotel is, a gem if available book it. Jeto does airport pick up and you get greeted withva big smile and lovely service. Great location and great value for a truly lovely hotel. Nothing. Everything was perfect

We very much enjoyed our stay here! The rooms are large, bright and clean, the beds very comfortable. The staff are all awesome, helpful and attentive. The food is super tasty, the portions very generous. The location is also great; just a few minutes walk from the stupa, exactly where we wanted to be. We can definitely recommend Pema Boutique Hotel and will be happy to return.

I booked Pema Boutique but I was re-directed to stay at the Atisha Hotel next door. Therefore this review is about Atisha Hotel. The hotel was new and super modern. The room was large with a balcony, large bathroom with hot shower, bidet and toilet. The hotel is located near Boudha stupa and many stores. Pema hotel next door had a restaurant which served great Nepalese and Indian food.

There was nothing I disliked about Atisha Hotel.

We enjoyed the room with comfortable beds and the very good and reasonable food in the hotel's restaurant. The service in general and Pema's location at the short distance from the Boudhanath stupa makes Pema Boutique Hotel a good choice.

At times, our bathroom smelled badly from sewage. I would have appreciated it if the top floor, which was great for morning yoga, had been a bit cleaner.

I not just like the hotel very much but the neighbourhood as well. Lively but relaxed, nice alleys, restaurants and cafés, shops, the famous stupa not far but not as packed and crowded as Thamel. The staff is very kind. The hotel offers a great breakfast means a variety of dishes and every morning something else. I liked reading the daily newspaper in the morning sun at breakfast and enjoyed the cosy lounge area with some mellow music in the backgroundt. Rooms are spacious and bright and clean. You have a tea variety and a water kettle in the room. The shower is spacious with hot water and very good water pressure.

Very good location ,walking distance to Buddha Stupa. Very good friendly staff. Coffee at breakfast is great . Simple but nice spread for breakfast , great to start the day.

Not too sound proof windows , can hear barking from dogs from across opposite units on first night, most nights place is very nice and quiet.
