Honestly, the BEST room and hostel I stayed at in Nepal. (Traveling for 2 months here) The room I had was great. A lot of space and everything I needed in the room. It's cold in Nepal right now, but the extra blanket was already in my room. Hot water every day, any time in my room. Everything is very clean. The stuff is super friendly and helpful. And it has such a peaceful vibe. I love that all the profit of the hotel goes to the projects of ROKPA. And you can even ask to someone shows you around. So you can visit the children Home, Women's Workshop and see how young kids get educated. I can recommend staying here. The location is great as well. Because it's in a quiet place as well as close to the stupa.

The staff are incredibly helpful and kind, especially in the cafe. We were very grateful to be given a room upgrade with lots of space for our family to feel right at home. The whole guesthouse is exceptionally clean and we could feel the swiss touches and design around the place. It reminded us of being in a swiss chalet. The best part though is that staying here supports an incredible organisation and you have the privilege of being a part of it during your stay.

A beautiful concept for a guest house. They take in needy children and mothers and train them in the hospitality business by using them as their staff. Many heart warming stories have come from this good work. The location is terrific and highly recommended, a hundred meters or so from the Buddha Stupa set off in a quiet area away from the chaos of Kathmandhu with beautiful. grounds. The accommodations are basic but they work. Overall, a great place to stay.

It was my best stay! Very calm and peaceful atmosphere. The staff is so helpful, friendly and nice. Everything was clean. The garden is my love 💓. The restaurant was just perfect - I liked everything what I tasted. The windows views are amazing. Location is perfect just near the buddha stupa and other temples. I really loved this place and highly recommend it.

Rokpa is an incredible guesthouse. Perfectly located right near the Boudha stupa but away from the crowds. It’s a quiet complex with beautiful gardens, A nice sanctuary to study and meditate. I had a single room with a queen sized bed. The bed was very comfortable! I know how hard the beds can get in Asia and I am a sucker for a softer bed. Breakfast is freshly made and super tasty, you can have it in their cute café or alfresco. But the stand out feature of this guesthouse is definitely the staff. I’m not even going to call anyone out by name because everyone was so helpful, incredibly kind, and always there with a smile. This whole business is a win-win, not only are you helping out their children’s home by staying here, you are doing yourself a favor because this place is utterly magical to stay in. This place has good vibes all around

The breakfast was not good. Also the attention to detail really could be improved. For instance, some milk and sugar etc for tea and coffee making upon a late arrival. There were none in my room and I had to go downstairs to find someone to assist. Also at breakfast basic setting of the table was lacking, everything needed to be asked for. Restaurant staff deserve some proper training. With here details improved it would be a really incredible experience.

My stay at ROKPA was wonderful! It is an oasis of calm and beauty with great food and good rooms that are comfortable and well equipped. The food is good but it is the staff who make this such a special place. They can’t do enough to help, they are always cheerful and smiling. They were flexible so I could change my room - tip ask for a room facing the garden which is much quieter. It’s somewhere where you feel happy to just sit in the garden and read ….
