If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, welcoming place to stay in Bouddha, come to Boudha Apart Hotel! Located in a safe and quiet neighborhood close to the airport, this hotel is perfect for a quick trip or a long stay. As a residential area, there are plenty of restaurants, bars, and fun things to do nearby without the noise and inflated prices you’d find in Thamel. The rooms really do look exactly like the promotional pictures – clean, bright, and spacious, with a weekly room cleaning included. For an extra fee, I took advantage of air-conditioning (very rare in Nepal) in the summer and space heaters in the winter. The Wi-Fi was reliable, especially in the restaurant where there is plenty of seating for working/studying and on the gorgeous roof which has stunning sunset views and a sun room with yoga mats and free weights available for use. I also used their laundry service, which cost about 3 USD per kg of clothes which were returned within 48 hours, fresh and folded. Although there was free use of the clean, basic communal kitchens on each floor, I didn’t need to cook for myself because the attached restaurant was affordable, convenient, healthy, and DELICIOUS. I ate there almost every day, and the meals were simply added to my tab to simplify payment, for which they do take credit card (with a 3% bank fee) and/or cash. As Nepal is a cash-based economy, you can “withdraw” NPR from the hotel and add that to your bill as well with no fees. Overall, my stay was incredibly convenient and affordable, especially for the quality of service. The owners and cleaning/kitchen/desk/security staff at Boudha Apart Hotel are truly some of the kindest and most welcoming people I have ever met. Since they’re a small family-owned business, you can help them out by booking via email, which is just their name (Boudha Apart Hotel) with no spaces at G mail! I can’t wait to come back and visit them the next time I stay at Boudha Apart Hotel!

I wish I could have stayed here longer!

I had the pleasure of staying at Boudha Apart Hotel in Kathmandu for over a year, and it truly felt like a home away from home. Michael & Pema, along with their little son, became like family to me during my stay. The warmth and kindness they showed made my time there unforgettable. The hotel itself is incredibly well-maintained, with spotless rooms that are comfortable and cozy. The cleanliness is top-notch, and the attention to detail in every corner of the hotel is evident. I always felt at ease, knowing I was staying in such a well-kept space. Not to mention that the homemade food, was always fresh, delicious, and healthy. The hotel is conveniently located near the iconic Buddha Stupa, but it's nestled in the peaceful neighborhood of Ramhiti, away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist area. This makes it the perfect balance—close enough to explore the Stupa and the city, yet far enough to enjoy a calm, quiet environment. The friendly local community around the hotel adds to the charm, making you feel like part of a real neighborhood. Overall, I can't recommend Boudha Apart Hotel enough. Whether you're staying for a short time or a longer period, you'll find a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere and exceptional hospitality. I loved the hosts and their hospitality, the food they cooked as well as the availability of food and drink at the hotel (they had cooks on site all day!), my room was perfect for my needs and the value was beyond expectations, the location was great (I was studying in Boudha and it was very close to the learning facilities), and it was overall a great place for me to stay for almost 3 weeks. I highly recommend this hotel to travelers, and think it’s a wonderful place to stay if you’re traveling alone because Pema and Michael really make the hotel feel like home and have developed a great sense of community there.

Boudha Apart Hotel is in a great area with shops and all you need for your stay. It is also very close to Buddha Stupa and many nice restaurants like Organic Kitchen which is a very nice vegetarian restaurant. Food in the hotel is very good as well. The place is very clean and well equiped. Pema and Maikal are very kind and helpful, as well as everyone in the hotel. Nepalese people are in general very welcoming and smiley so you feel like at home. I enjoyed my stay so much and I will definitely come back to Boudha Apart Hotel anytime I am in Kathmandu.

The rooms are super clean and nice. The bed is soft and very comfortable. The owners are really friendly and make you feel like being at home. Downstairs we have the restaurant, with excellent breakfast options and other very good food for a reasonable price. The place is quiet and tranquil. It’s a very good option for those who also want to work, study or meditate while being in Nepal. It takes a moment to reach Boudha stupa. 100x100 recommended to everyone! Definitely it’s one of the best guest houses around Boudha.

The hotel and the room were nice and clean. The owners were so kind and fortcoming. They helped with everything that we needed and it didnt matter if it was with calling a taxi early in morning or helping to find where we can fix our boots (they were damaged and we needed a quick fix before our trek next day). The price was very good and the food was just phenomenal. Highly recommended!

Michael, Pema, and the rest of the staff are so kind. They really go out of their way to make you feel welcome and I must say they really go above and beyond. My partner and I needed to go to hospital and they even helped set up an appointment for us. They also checked in to see how we were doing daily with genuine care and concern. Whether it be taxis, restaurant recommendations, bus tickets to Pokhara, you name it—they’ll do their best to help provide. As far as the rooms go, they are quite spacious, and very clean. We had a balcony as well which made it all feel like a little studio apartment for an exceptional price. The beds are VERY comfortable and as the place is brand new, the hotel is spotless. Only a 15-20 min walk to the Buddha Stupa. To be honest, it was quite nice to be slightly off center as you get more of a local feel and aren’t surrounded by tourists. There are plenty of local restaurants and shops just outside the hotel so you don’t have to go far if you want a quick bite. The hotel is also just opening its cafe and has a lovely sitting area in the lobby. We loved loved loved this place! Thanks again Boudha Apart-Hotel for making us feel at home. We’ll definitely be back!

Michael and his family made of my stay a comfortable and relaxing time which I won't ever forget. They provided me with all what I need at all times without matter the hour or what iwas asking them ...., scale luggage, food delivery (they offered 1st to share their own meal!!), taxi, free ride to sort my things out, boarding passes and many more things. Awesome room, plenty of space, light, balcony, lovely matress and pillows, even a frigobar 100% recommended ... I ' ll be back for sure

It was quiet, comfortable and friendly. It felt like a home away from home. The building is in superb condition, clean and cozy. The food was also quite good and they accommodated my onion allergy. They also were quite quick in response to any requests I had. It is a little quiet gem in the middle of Boudha. I look forward to coming back again.

This is the best place I have ever stayed in Kathmandu! The building is beautiful and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Pema and Michal (the owners) are so welcoming and attentive to every detail. All of the staff who work here are so kind and helpful too. I will definitely be staying here on all future visits to Kathmandu!
