First of all it was nice that they were very flexible so I could have early check in and late check out. The room is very big and so is the bathroom. Very good hot shower. The breakfast is very good with a buffet with different options and also barista coffee and different choices for eggs. The WiFi worked very well and the ac was a nice addition during the cold days in December. The staff was very helpful and welcoming as well!

Wonderful hotel with well-appointed rooms, comfortable big beds, clean big bathrooms and most importantly helpful and very friendly staff. Couldn't praise the hotel more. We stayed for a week with our 2 daughters, and I am sure we will be back in the future. We stayed in the two-bedroomed family unit, which was a rare find to enable the whole family to stay in the same room. The hotel provides a very good breakfast, and this comes with proper barista type coffee. We tried multiple food and drinks options at the hotel from the menu, and all have been good with average prices. The hotel staff was very caring and friendly. Travelling with two teenage daughters, we felt very safe and respected.

My only issue was that our room did not have a window or balcony opening to the street, and this made the room dark. We spent very little time in the room, though. Hence, the benefits greatly outweighed the negative.

Awesome staff; very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with useful advice too. Very central and convenient location for shopping, food and visiting places; even a bank is literally next door. Rooms are well maintained, super clean and spacious too. Yummy and good nutritious food after a strenuous Himalayan trek too. The owner himself wishes you a good trek and ensures all guests are well looked after. In short, its the most comfortable place with all the facilities that one could ask for and I highly recommend Hotel Jampa for everyone.

All facilities and staff are really good, helpful and upto the mark. The kitchen closes at 9pm; though this ties in very well with most trekkers schedule for an early start the next morning, maybe this could extend to 10pm in case some guest is late. However, this is not a negative and they will give you a welcome juice drink upon arrival even at 11pm.

The staff was friendly and very kind. I stay 4 nights and was upgraded since it’s off-season, which I highly appreciated. The breakfast was amazing, with a lot of options (mostly western, with a few local dishes as well). They have an egg station, making eggs just for you during breakfast. Alongside it, they serve incredible nepalese organic coffee - all included in the breakfast price. Their restaurant / room service is also very good, and not that expensive considering the quality of the dishes and prices in other places in Thamel. I almost regret not having ordered more room service as I haven’t find any restaurant in Thamel matching the quality of the food here. The room was very big, the facilities were absolutely great, I wasn’t expecting that much from it! They have a money exchange desk at the reception, which has way better (at least for EUR/NPR) rates than any places you can find in Thamel. Last but not least, the price was very affordable and made this hotel one of the best value for money deal I ever had around the world! Thank you for everything!

Staff was nice, location was good ,our suite with balcony room was big enough for us three. Toilet was clean, overall the hotel was really nice. Really loved the balcony with a view of a small kathmandu street and the other close buildings where I could smoke in peace.it felt like home. Cappuccino on request at the breakfast was top and so the breakfast a la carte when buffet is not available(when they have few guests in low season). When they have enough guests they have a buffet but i noticed that the choice was pretty limited for the hot plates, potatoes were a bit hard and pancakes tasted salty. The rest was ok/ good. The restaurant was pretty good, we ordered in one occasion. Compliementarty pick up or drop off at the airport is a plus and very appreciated. This hotel is recommended for sure if you want to stay in the Thamel Area. Good quality for the price

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I must say it exceeded my expectations. The room was exceptionally spacious, providing plenty of space to relax after a long day of exploring the city. The bathroom was spotless, which is always a top priority for me when choosing a hotel. What truly stood out, however, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful, making me feel genuinely welcome throughout my stay. A special mention goes to the receptionist, Satishra, who was outstanding. Her warm smile and willingness to assist with every question made a huge difference. On top of that there is a free airport transfer. It saves you from being ripped off by local drivers. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kathmandu. With its comfortable rooms, cleanliness, and exceptional service, it’s a place I’ll definitely return to on my next visit!

Staying at the Hotel Jampa was amazing. Set in the heart of Thamel it was close to everything but peacefully quiet. Mr Prakash and his dedicated team were helpful, courteous and professional. Nothing was a problem. The buffet breakfast was delicious and the Himalayan coffee a bonus. YUMBO. I ate both lunch and dinner and the food was great. My room was spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable. I stayed in room 410 which gave me easy access to the roof where it was nice to sit outside in the afternoon sun and relax. Mr Prakash can organize tours, taxi and transportation all at competitive prices. I would have no hesitation in recommending Hotle Jampa. 5 Stars

About location: Location is near thamel market which is hub of traditional Nepalese cultural shops like photo frames, statues , woolen clothes . Moreover there many good vegetarian restaurants nearby so it was good located area in Kathmandu. Near by tourist attractions spots in my views are 1) swayambhu (world heritage site) 2) Darbar square (world heritage site) 3) boudh stupa. (world heritage site) 4) pashupatinath (world heritage site) And many more. Hotel staff Amazing staff members they always greet you with genuine smile . Helpful and assertive. Comfort: It's quite comfortable, clean and neat property.

I thoroughly enjoyed my recent stay at Hotel Jampa it is a quiet safe hotel considering it is in the heart of Thamel and is close to everything you need. The room was clean, comfortable and excellent value for money. Breakfast was fair and catered for a variety of tastes the fresh omelettes were particularly tasty and the coffee was some of the best I have ever tried. The food from the menu is also filling, tasty and reasonably priced. Airport pick up service was great after a long journey I was extremely grateful for that. All of the staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful they work hard and can't do enough to make sure you feel comfortable during your stay. A special mention goes to Satishra who always greeted me with a warm smile. The reception offers a currency exchange around the clock which is very handy and has the best rates in the area. I would highly recommend Hotel Jampa to anyone who is looking for a stay in Thamel.
