Beautiful hotel design with an expansive space and an art museum connected to it. Its location is close to the Bouddhana Stupa, so much so that certain rooms have a view of the stupa, which we were lucky to be allocated. Service was wonderful, with the staff being very helpful and attentive to our needs. For example when we requested for extra towels, they appeared almost immediately! Our room was on the Club level, there were drinks and light snacks available throughout the day, and these were topped up frequently. A special shout out for Club lounge staff Aastha and Engela, who provided great service especially during the evening canapes sessions and checking on us throughout our stay. You made us feel right at home, thank you!

It was unfortunate that the swimming pool was too cold for use, and the smaller kid's pool appeared dirty and poorly maintained. The Club lounge does not serve breakfast, so everbody dines in the main dining restaurant, where staff are somewhat overwhelmed when it was busy due to a conference being held at the venue. Several times our order did not appear, but not a big deal. As we stayed for 5 nights, I noticed that the food options were more or less the same everyday. Some variety would be nice. Similarly for the Club lounge canapes, there could be more variety. Another thing to note is that they are still using little disposable bottles for shampoo/ body wash/ lotions, and as a family we needed a few sets. This aspect could be improved for environmental sustainability.

Hands down the best property/ resort in Kathmandu. My stay at Kathmandu was beyond pleasant and fulfilling, largely driven by the support of the staff. I was traveling with my senior parents and my sister and her family. All of us had Stupa view rooms on the 6th floor / Regency club floor. I would like to mention certain names from the staff (from breakfast, lunch, restaurants, room service and Club Regency): Sanshreeta, Jhapad, Nista, Rohit Pandey, Sunita (Mgr), Mahima, Rajani, and of course Chef Padam who was extremely thoughtful and attentive towards our needs. I would also like to mention members from club Regency - Aastha and Sujan who were extremely warm and welcoming every evening during our trip to the club room which had an excellent view of the Stupa. Highly recommended when visiting Kathmandu.

The breakfast has limited Continental food only sausage and scrambled eggs plus pastry bread thats kinda dry. Location is nice but outside the city but near the airport

The pool has been somewhat frustrating because it's not heated, despite the substantial maintenance expenses. This leaves it unused due to the cold water, even though modern technology like solar heaters could make it more accessible. It's a spacious and appealing pool, but the lack of heating hinders its enjoyment. Additionally, the elevator requires an upgrade as it seems prone to breaking down at any moment. The food i order was not tender and was strugling to eat but tasty. I told the waiter but i did not insist to change it.

We chose the Bed and Breakfast option for our stay, and the breakfast was excellent. There were a lot of varieties. We enjoyed it very much. The hotel garden has a lot of space compared to other hotels in Kathmandu, you will need two days to go around and see all the beautiful locations.

Nothing to complain about, just a minor factor that there were pigeon feathers in the pool, since the area is totally occupied by pigeons.

Firstly the staff were exceptional from the check in to the check out. Especially found Sunitha in your main restaurant and her team phenomenal. We loved the trio of musicians every afternoon. The hotel has such a calming vibe, it was the perfect place to relax as a family. We also found your concierges to be such helpful gentleman. Well done on an excellent team of staff.

There was an issue between booking.com and the hotel with regard to the booking rate. Booking.com offered us a lower rate than the hotels rate. Hotel initially wanted us to pay the difference but the manager stepped in and advised that he would take it up with booking.com. Intelligently resolved.

Bed mattress is poor, with clear sign of overuse. It is uncomfortable. Electric sockets are insufficient in the room for modern usage (laptop, hair appliances, phone charging). The only one available next to the bed does not provide good connection. Toilet does not flush through the first time. A second flushing was necessary for everything to be cleared. This needs fixing.

The hotel is beautiful, excellent location. Our rooms had a great view of the Boudhanath Stupa, and also the airport as we wanted to watch the planes. It was quiet and peaceful, and the rooms and bathrooms were huge. The staff were amazing - and we ate in Sesame every night and the waiters remebered our names and drink preferences. We will definitely be back!!!!!!!!!!! The pool and extensive grounds were spotlessly clean, as was the whole hotel.

The carpets need replacing in the corridors, andf a small convenience shop would be good. Other than that there was nothing.

Once I arrived there late at night, after a hellish taxi ride (not the hotel's fault) it was like entering an oasis. It's old, a little like a gentlemen's club with dark heavy furniture but with an enormous entry and atrium in the Newari style of architecture, large and comfortable rooms and a rather old-fashioned bathroom, all dark wood and dark gold granite. However the simple shower without a rose on hose was the best I have even had in a hotel, with excellent water pressure and consistent hot temperature, it did a lot to restore my equanimity. Buffet breakfast and dinner were excellent, the staff being very careful to advise me about what food had no garlic or chilli, and the dining room staff even remembered what table I sat at the night before, and what my preferences were. Chef Joy came out personally to check if I was satisfied with the food. The staff in the spa were likewise excellent. As the hotel was set in 37 acres, I spent my time there recovering in the grounds of the hotel, with no need to leave.

I wish I had known how chaotic the airport would be and I wish I had known to order the hotel transport.

The room was lovely, very modern, clean and in great repair. It was classy and damage-free. Breakfast was great and the service in the Sesame restaurant was next level. In particular, Rajanish was an exceptional waiter. All the food we ate there was amazing - particularly the Thai food. The whole property was stunning!

The breakfast buffet was out of this world: a multi-cultural feast of so many delicious options. I also appreciated the walking path that circled the property and enabled a safe, peaceful way to stretch my legs. The bedroom itself felt huge and I lucked out with a stellar view of the Bouddha Stupa nearby.

The only downside, IMO, was the overpriced costs of the room and food. I've been in Nepal for a month now, so know the true cost of these items is significantly less than what we were being charged at the Hyatt.
