The Forest hotel is a nice surprise in Den Helder. The room is modern, quite large and clean, the wifi works, and the shower and breakfast are excellent. There is a coffee machine in the room. It has windows that can be opened for some fresh air, it is not very noise outside. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is really close to the train station. A relatively short walk takes you to the sea and the ferry to Texel.

There is a somewhat big empty space in the room while the desk is fairly small, makes you think that the available m2 could be used more efficiently. On the other hand, it looks very spacious. The room was next to the elevator which produces some rumbling noises, but it wasn't a real problem and ear-plugs were provided in the room. I guess just in case but I did not need them.

The whole stay was superb! The team that work in the hotel are a fantastic representation of the business while maintaining a 'personal touch' in respect of the guests and everyone is made to feel welcome and as close to 'home' as can be achieved. Communication with the team prior to arrival due to late flights and trains etc. was once again exceptional and immediate confirmation of preparedness measures having been made alleviated any further pressures. Breakfast is certainly welcomed and appreciated with further personal touches applied by the team. Nothing is ever a problem and a request for a slightly later departure was readily provided with a smile...nothing is too much trouble and these points are borne out by the popularity of the location and future booking plans already being made. The Forest Hotel...best recommendation given and well deserved.

Nothing...absolutely superb.

We arrived to check in after 6pm. We were welcomed warmly and got a room. We got in and it was used and dirty. It was clearly forgotten to be cleaned by housekeeping. We went to the front office and the lady extended her apologies and she gave us a new room. She apologized a lot as the room was smaller but we needed to have the room to go out again! The new room was extremely clean! :) They provided us with portable airco when we came back from dinner. It was nice to find on the way back! The night was perfect. Nice bed, not noisy and very comfortable. At breakfast we were welcomed by 2 lovely ladies and check out was smooth and kind. The breakfast buffet was nice and unique in its own way! The staff was really good! :)

I like breakfast very much, all was fresh and nicely prepared and served. The room was comfortable with a possibility to prepare tea or coffee.

The shower was of "an American style" - from the ceiling, and there were no shower cap (not much comfortable if you don't want to water your hair).

Friendly staff, great breakfast, really comfortable bed!

Our double room had two single beds pushed together with separate duvets. May have made for a better night's sleep without someone hogging it all(!), but may not be everyone's preference.

Very nice and clean hotel, with big rooms and comfy beds. The rooms are like the pictures, nicely furnished and designed. The personnel was very service minded and the breakfast was the best. Each guest was asked specifically what they preferred for breakfast and got personal service.

The entrance is shared with a cinema, but didn’t matter too much. The extra beds in the family room were quite soft, but for kids it is fine.

In the center of the city. Near Railway station. Easy to reach. Friendly stuff. Easy to check-in.

Cold in the room. Cold bathroom. Fully opened heater and it was still cold. Some hotel room are connected by wall with cinema. I was possible to hear noises from cinema.

The staff of the hotel was very friendly, attentive and helpful. The room was nice and big with a view over the main square. The breakfast was tasty with enough options to cover all tastes. The location is very central, near the train station and the ferry terminal.

It would have been better if there were an air conditioner, especially in summer. The central location also meant more noise.

The staff were amazing - always friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay incredible. They were very flexible with their breakfast hours to accommodate a work schedule that was extremely busy.

The front office was wonderful. Friendly and extremely accommodating to our early breakfast request—even through the weekend. The breakfast “to go” was delicious.
