I liked how comfortable the room was and how accessible the personnel is. The room was perfect for one person and offered a nice view of the canal and skyline. Everything was very clean and having a free, personalized breakfast was nice.

Accessing the hotel was a little weird at first with the QR code not always properly working, but they provided you with a card key just in case the QR code refused to work, so that was great. The smoke alarm went off in my room due to water vapor coming from the shower, which I found a little strange, but other than that, no major complaints at all!

Our host, the owner (Delia) was extremely welcoming, helpful, and cheerful. This was very nice after a long trip and we stayed two nights. The hotel location was perfect, just a 10 min walk from the train station and a 15 min walk to the ferry. Breakfast was perfect with simple and delicious offerings. The rooms are small yet efficient. Just a note to newcomers: the ownership has changed so the website info is not current. Check-in is at the hotel itself, not across the street. The establishments are separate.

Nothing, all was perfect for us.

Very nicely decorated room with comfortable bed and modern equipment. Nice opaque curtains for a very good night sleep. We were not bothered by the noise of the street. Breakfast was plentiful and conveniently served on the ground floor at the hotel.

Couldn’t find WC light switch, seemed to be on sensors? Couldn’t turn it off. Light in shower would turn on as you walk by it. Not fun in the middle of the night as the shower is actually in the room. The stairs are very steep and narrow, we were glad to be on the first floor.

The hotel has unusual but very comfortable and warm rooms. The room was spotlessly clean. Breakfast is buffet - no hot choices but more than sufficient for a good start to the day. The hotel does not have a restaurant and is generally unmanned in the evenings (Fridays and Saturdays being the exception when the hotel bar is open), but is located in the town centre so is in very close proximity to bars and restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Great location close to ferry to the islands. Opposite the quay with plenty of restaurants and bars. Quietish road by the canal. QR code to get in was a little tricky. Good breakfast with sufficient choice. Room was modern and little quirky which was nice

When I booked there was reference to a secure bike shed. This turned out to be a choice of bike racks on the opposite side of the canal. No security.

The room was nice with a pleasant balcony and air conditioning.

The stairs to the 2nd floor were very steep and high. Anyone with limited strength or mobility would really struggle up and down. The shower cabinet was in the bedroom. The bike store was in a public bike shed that locked at night, but it was a good 10 minutes walk away in a business park. We didn’t feel very comfortable about it.

Great breakfast, location good. Great Whats App communication. Good food and drinks in resteraunts opposite hotel.

We had a group of 10, we all had bikes. No secure bike lock up near hotel. We did however walk 10 minutes to the train station where there is an underground secure bicycle park. Breakfast was a little delayed.

Quirky hotel in a convenient location. Secure bike storage round the back of the hotel. De Werf 'Drinks & more' where breakfast was served was good, although across the canal from the hotel. We also had lunch and dinner there

Light in shower was a motion activated - a bit odd. No instructions for Nespresso machine & I had no idea what the different coloured pods were.

Good little hotel close to the city centre and just opposite the refurbished shipyards. Great area complete with nice restaurants - classic dishes and good cocktails. There are also a few interesting museums. Especially the Navy Museum is well worth a good long visit. PS. A Pulled Pork Flatbread at Robuust in the city centre is a must (there is also a veggie version).

Well appointed room. Helpful staff who let us store our bikes even though we’d forgotten to book it (tip: book bike storage as it’s limited in space). Very convenient for the ferry to Texel and good restaurants opposite.

Steep stairs to the upper floor, not a problem for us and quite common in Holland. A bit of noise from the road out the front, but we slept well regardless.
