My stay at this unique hotel was simply perfect in every way! The historic castle atmosphere immediately transports you to another time, without having to sacrifice any modern comforts – every detail is lovingly preserved and renovated to the highest standards. The food was an absolute Top 👍 : regional, creative, fresh, and of star-level quality – a culinary experience we won’t forget anytime soon. The service was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and professional – you feel truly cared for and warmly welcomed. The surrounding landscape invites you to take long walks and experience real relaxation – peace, nature, and culture in perfect harmony. A true oasis of tranquility with style!

Beautiful old building and quaint surroundings. The room we had was tiny (which we knew beforehand) but has everything you need. Including an aircon, kettle and coffee machine. Our room had an amazing view of the stream behind the castle. We highly recommend the gastronomical bistro restaurant too. Friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere! Don’t forget to get a special local ‘vlaai’ cake with your coffee - this really is delicious. Would go back again anytime!

As the room was so small you need to take your shoes off pretty much next to the bed. A small mat would be useful to keep the floor clean (especially with muddy shoes).

Lovely hotel, particularly their patio and café/restaurant. The property is a wonderful historic building in a small town north of Maastricht. If you're looking for a bit of luxury, peace and quiet, this is the place to find it in the overcrowded Netherlands. Wonderfull place to relax after a days driving. Great drinks and food in the shade. Lots of private parking space.

The room could have been bigger, with a bigger window and with a fridge. But for the money, I can't be too harsh. The café/restaurant was a bit pricey, but it felt like that kind of place, so not unexpected. Not much in the immediate area, so go here only by car or if you simply want peace and quiet.

High quality version of everything, from coffee to soap, comfortable beds with high quality linens. Wonderful breakfast. We asked for quiet rooms and we got them, very quiet sleep. Genius loci! Would definitely come back again.

As it is an old castle, there is no lift and there are steep step, to be considered for someone with not a full mobility. No fridge in the room. Little outdated room equipment, not comparable to the restaurant and ground floor excellent niveau.

The surroundings and location are awesome. The terrace is amazing and really pleasant to have dinner or a glass of wine. The wines offer is really good. Nice Free Parking space with shadow. The waiters in the terrace were really nice and courteous. The hotel is very cozy and my expectations were fully fulfilled and I will repeat it for sure.

The hotel was very busy the second day, and many guests were very loud, despite the fact this is not a problem coming from the hotel , the type of accommodation should have some rules about the noise and respect to the others. Due to the crowdie, the breakfast stuff was over ( pastries, salmon) and also I have missed a piece of fruit, hot milk and a toaster for the bread. The parking should be only available for clients of the hotel and restaurant, but also outside trekkers park there, taking the shadow out.

Nothing major, no hooks in bathroom for towels, only three hangers . Breakfast at weekend was nice , but Monday morning was very disappointed not worth the money , no pastries, or cooked food , was often scrambled egg , which had no flavour.

Nice edge of village location, next to the river. Well kept castle, comfortable with a very good restaurant. Great value too. Room was quirky with a sloped ceiling which isn't great if you are tall, however it is an old building so expected and certainly not a problem. Narrow stairs to my room, but again just a characteristic of an old castle.

The location is absolutely superb, wonderful castle hotel in a nice and quiet environment. The personal very friendly and flexibel, Dinner was of high quality.

The price for breakfast was higher than expected. The acoustics of the room where we had dinner could be better (to much resonance, echo, which made our conversation hard to understand.)

The location is amazing. The hotel is situated in a beautiful park with wild animals, birds and fish. The hotel building is a nice old castle. The hotel has a spacy parking nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel has not been renovated for a long time; it needs to be done. I don't like restaurant food, but it's really personal thing.

Upon checkout, we were asked to pay for an extra bed. The receptionist argued that it is hotel policy that is written in the rules on booking.com to prepare an extra bed when the number of visitors exceeds 2. We explained that we already booked for 3 people (2 adults + a toddler) and this is not correct. She agreed to drop the payment but it was not pleasant to have this conversation at the checkout.
